2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5SL
NO RESERVE!!! THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD FOR WAY UNDER BOOK VALUE!!

See attached NADA Value in the pictures! This car has a retail value of $9,000 and it is being sold with no reserve to the last bidder!!!

This was a local trade in. The car runs and drives fine, the body is in good condition, the interior looks good as well. I try to be as honest with the descriptions of my vehicles as I possibly can. I have not driven this car any long distance but I have driven it a few miles around here before and after the trade in and like I said, it did seem to run and drive fine.

The known issues with it are:

  • The ABS and Brake lights are on (she said they have been on for over a year)
  • The power sunroof switch is broken (the knob is broken/missing, I have no idea if the roof actually works or not?)
  • The Steering column has some up and down "play" in it.
  • The tires will need replaced soon

otherwise this is a very decent looking and running car. This is your chance to get one HECK of a deal on a very sporty 2004 Nissan Maxima!

The car can be looked at/test driven in person at our Dealership during normal business hours which are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and 9am till 1pm on Saturdays. PLEASE come see the car in person if possible. PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID!!!

We offer PA Titling Services at our dealership. We can do title transfer, PA tags and also out of state Temp Tags as well. These fee's are additional and are NOT included in the purchase price of the vehicle.

Any transportation or shipping charges will be the full responsibility of the buyer!

The car is being sold as is where is with no reserve and no warranty at all. You must pay a nonrefundable $250 deposit via pay pal within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the rest must be paid in full via cash or pre-approved cashiers/bank check (please pre-approve any check payments with us BEFORE YOU BID!!!)

Nissan's autonomous cars could drive in US first, maybe by 2020

Fri, Jan 24 2014

Future shock could be just six short years away, and coming first to the US. Nissan says it might start making autonomous versions of its cars available in the US by 2020, before the tech hits the road in other countries. The Japanese automaker is in extensive discussions with regulators from California, the best-selling state for the Leaf battery-electric vehicle, for allowing self-driving vehicles to be on its roads, Hybrid Cars says, citing a conversation with Nissan executive Andy Christensen at the recent Detroit Auto Show. Many decisions need to be made between now and then, given the hurdles related to issues such as regulations, liability, safety and technology - and Christensen said the first wave of self-driving vehicles would be able to do their thing only on the highway. The vehicle of choice is most likely to be the Leaf because it's completely battery operated, making the conversion to autonomy that much easier. Last summer, Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn first promised production autonomous cars by 2020. The automaker has teamed up with MIT, Stanford, Oxford and others to extensively test its "Autonomous Drive" concepts since then. Late last year, Nissan tested a self-driving Leaf on Japanese public roads. Nissan is not alone promoting autonomous driving as a way to increase safety, fuel economy and traffic flow, just some of the reasons why the idea may be the wave of the nearer-than-we-thought-future. For example, the company says 93 percent of accidents are caused by driver error.

Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Nissan details Craigslist 1996 Maxima restoration

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

"Luxury Defined," in the most ironic sense the galaxy has ever known, is now "Luxury Restored," in the real and incredible sense. Last September, Luke Aker made ads to sell his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE, the YouTube version being a mix truth, bombast, a British accent and a ratchet strap. The ad tickled Nissan such that it bought the car from Akes and made a donation to a charity of his choice. Then they consulted with the citizens of the Internet to decide what to do with it, the final vote being a complete restoration and display at the company's Nashville HQ.
Friends, Netizens, countrymen, the job is done. Nicknamed "Old Glory," comparing the old car with the new is like reading one of those shelter dog rescue stories where the loving family nurses an impossibly cute pup back to health with handheld nursing sessions, baby bottles of warm milk and whispered lullabies. Only Nissan probably didn't sing to the Maxima.
The Maxima is now on display, and we hope they've hung the ratchet strap with it. You can see Aker's new video on the transformation above, plus another video and press release below detailing the Maxima's journey back to New Glory.
