Up for auction is my 1997 Nissan Maxima automatic with 229xxx. I purchased the maxima in march 2011 with 189k miles on it, I have done a lot of work to this car with very little left to fix/replace. I did not purchase this vehicle with the intentions of fixing it to sell, I just really like the car and wanted it to last. There has been more invested in it (including the purchase of the maxima) than what I am asking, and this will make someone a good daily driver. I have taken several trips in this vehicle with no issues at all, and would not hesitate go anywhere in it. The reason I am selling it is because one of my buddies offered to sell me his car (which I have always been interested in).

Listed below is what I have fixed or replaced:
Approx. 191k miles
New knock sensor
New radiator fan assembly
New ignition switch/key & tumbler

Approx. 200k miles
New front/rear struts(Including springs and mounts)
New inner/outer tie rods
New front ball joints
New tires and alignment
New passenger side wheel bearing
Replaced broken/missing interior trim pieces

Approx. 215k miles
New water pump
New timing chain
New timing cover gasket
New oil pan gasket
New exhaust
New radiator
Coolant flush
New spark plugs
Cleaned the throttle body
Cleaned the mass air flow sensor
New front and rear brake pads and rotors
New front and rear brake calipers and hoses
Brake system flush
New air intake
New speakers and DVD player
New starter
New side view mirrors

Within the last 10k miles
New front passenger side CV shaft
Two new tires (due to an inner tie rod failing on one side causing the alignment to go bad, and wear one of the tires)
Replacement of the faulty inner tie rod
4 wheel alignment
Fixed rust in the drivers side rear wheel well

Interior and exterior have typical wear for this age of vehicle and mileage. The only major issues with the interior is wear on the front drivers side door panel, center console arm rest, and the seats/carpet (no rips or tears, just stains). The exterior just has a little hail damage and scratches, no visible rust on the body or damage to the bumpers, it has not been in any wrecks that I know of. The headlights have been restored and the entire vehicle has been detailed within the past week. Clean and clear Kansas title.

Nissan IDX production model to get sharper, less retro styling

Sat, 23 Aug 2014

The Nissan IDx seems like the type of concept that auto enthusiasts wish they could be driving. With a compact size, style inspired by the classic Datsun 510 and a rear-wheel-drive powertrain, it certainly ticks many of the boxes that people want. Unfortunately, the car seems to be miles away from actually getting a green light for production, but rumors about the retro coupe's future keep cropping up.
The last we heard about the IDx, the biggest complication with the coupe was that it was a tough project to make profitable. Nissan didn't have a cheap enough rear-wheel drive platform to make the affordable coupe work. The latest rumors point to a potential solution to this problem. According to Motoring from Australia speaking to an insider close to Nissan, the new plan is to tweak the styling to be less retro and adapt the car to work on the platform for the forthcoming, next-generation Z car.
The new look reportedly cribs from the Nissan Sport Sedan Concept from the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, including its floating roof design and sharper edges around the fenders. In terms of power, the source tells Motoring, the IDx could use a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with around 180 horsepower on tap. That might not sound like too much, but remember the Z car itself is rumored to get smaller and lighter when it's new generation hits the stage. If the weight is low enough, potentially using it for the IDx might just work.

Why 2015 is going to be a huge year for trucks

Thu, Jan 22 2015

Nissan chief executive Carlos Ghosn took center stage to introduce the 2016 Titan last week at the Detroit Auto Show. He spoke of the truck's new features, impressive Cummins V8 diesel engine and the extensive amount of time and money required to build a modern, competitive pickup truck. "We have done all of this because we see opportunity – an opportunity in the unmet needs of today's American truck customers," Ghosn said. He was speaking about the Titan, but his thoughts echo the industry's mindset: When it comes to trucks, find an opportunity and attack. Even with CAFE regulations looming and fickle consumer preferences, investing in trucks is a no-brainer for automakers. Some consumers will always need a truck for their job or lifestyle. And some people will always want one, whether they need it or not. With that in mind, here are four reasons why the pickup-truck sector is more important than ever and poised for growth in 2015. View 24 Photos The Nissan Titan Is Back Okay, it never left, but the Titan hadn't been redesigned since its launch in 2003, and Nissan sold more NV200s than Titans in 2014. It's an understatement to say the truck was languishing. That all changes with the 2016 model. The Titan will come in two variants, a traditional fullsize competitor and the Titan XD. The XD will lead the market launch, and it arrives late this year. It's pitched as a "whitespace" offering, Nissan sales and marketing vice president Fred Diaz said. The idea is to offer something in the general size and price range of a fullsize truck, but also have some of the capability of a heavy-duty truck. The XD uses a fully boxed ladder frame, the chassis design from Nissan's commercial division, and the wheelbase is about 20 inches longer than other Titan models. The XD, which Nissan is calling the flagship of the line, will be the only model with the 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V8. It produces 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque, while being able to tow 12,000 pounds. V6 and V8 gasoline models will also be offered on the Titan XD and the standard, non-XD model. When production ramps up, the Titan will be sold with several cabs, beds and trims. New features include trailer sway control, an integrated trailer brake controller, more storage options in the cabin and even laminated front and rear side glass to reduce outside noise. All of this has given Nissan fresh confidence in an area where it admittedly has been lacking. "We can compete," Diaz told Autoblog.

Nissan Juke facelift spied during testing

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

The Nissan Juke boldly reinvented the subcompact crossover for the modern age a decade after the niche's progenitors - the first-generation Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V - grew well beyond their original, diminutive sizes. Since being introduced in 2010 as a 2011 model, the Juke has proven to be a huge sales success for Nissan in Europe and quite a success here, too. A modest refresh is planned for the 2015 model year of Nissan's tiniest crossover, and our spy shooters have caught an early glimpse.
The exact changes are not easy to spot, but you can bet that anywhere you see camouflage, a modestly new look is hidden underneath. The biggest change up front is the narrower grille that appears to no longer extend over the headlights. Assuming this isn't just a clever disguise, the change gives the impression that the Juke actually has distinct headlights, instead of massive fog lights. The more angular front air dam also appears to extend slightly lower than before, and the intakes appear to be revised as well.
The changes to the rear are even more minor. You can still see the outlines of the boomerang-shaped headlights, and any alterations to the rear bumper are impossible to spot behind the camouflage tape. It's also unclear at this point whether the interior will receive any refinements or new options.
