Up for sale is a beautiful 2004 Nissan Frontier with a 3.3l V6 engine automatic transmission with around 125,000 miles on it. Power locks, power windows, power mirrors, clean cloth interior. Never abused, never worked hard, just used for daily transportation and hauling the occasional light load. Mechanically very clean and doesn't burn any oil between changes.  Even the undercarriage is clean and rust free. This truck has only been driven in North Carolina and half a year in the dry southwest of Colorado, no Maine winters and is as rust free as a ten year old truck gets.  The bed has a factory liner.  All service is up-to-date including the following: New timing belt at 100k performed by dealer, upper radiator hoses, valve cover gaskets, knock sensor, starter motor, and interstate battery. The truck runs great and gets 22 mpg +/- 1 mpg. Comes with a class 3 trailer hitch and plug n play wire harness (no botched up wires here).  We hate to sell this truck but are buying a 5th wheel trailer and can't tow the trailer with a truck this size.  This truck could be driven anywhere in the country without hesitation.

Nissan recalls nearly 20,000 NV vans over gearshift issue

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

Nissan is recalling 18,800 NV vans built between December 20, 2010 and January 4, 2013. Certain 2012 and 2013 models equipped with a steering-column-mounted transmission shift levers may have been built with improperly installed shift mechanisms.
If the NV's gear selector plate lock clip wasn't installed correctly, normal road vibration could result in a gear position indicator that does not match the actual gear selection. As a result, when the driver selects 'park,' the transmission could still be in gear or in neutral, and roll away. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says this condition greatly increased the risk of accident and injury.
Nissan will inspect the gear selector lock clip and replace the part if necessary free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the recall campaign begins on April 8, 2013. Read the full recall notice below for more information.

NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
