I have owned this truck for a little over a year. It was a great little truck for the first 6 months I owned it then as expected with over 200K mile I had to replace a few things. So here is a list of what I have replace. Mass Airflow sensor, rear shocks, front rotors, drive bearing, I have done a FULL tune up i.e: new oil, filter, trans oil, I used the good stuff too(Lucas brand), air filter, all the usual. I have cleaned the fuel injection put in new spark plugs. Right before I owned it the owner put in new distributor, wires, head gasket, radiator, clutch has been replaced. Overall the truck has had a go through in the last couple years. However, this truck is a over 200K mile truck and should be treated as such. Currently it needs a new head gasket, again, runs about $100 online. The radiator is still good just needs to be flushed. The truck runs, however these things need to be serviced before a long haul. The service engine light is on and the read-out from autozone says a knock sensor which is a cheap part just a pain in the a$$ to change. Any of these problems a person with a little mechanical knowledge can fix. There is a noise in the transmission pretty sure it is the drive bearing, it is not too bad(only noticeable at a stop) and does not even make a noise in 4th gear. 4wd works lovely and there are no problems with it that I know of. Before I owned it the guy was a smoker so there are a few burn holes in the upholstery and the interior is a little beat up, It no longer smells like smoke as I am not a smoker and have owned it for some time. I have put floor matts in which make the inside looks good and when cleaned up really doesn't look bad, in my opinion. With all that said I do like this truck alot just need a "wagon" type car for my family (which I would be willing to trade). I dont think I am missing anything else that is wrong. Happy bidding! Again truck is sold "as is" if you have any questions AT ALL please please please contact me and I will be beyond straight with you I am not trying to rip anyone off just trying to get a different car. Thanks!

Chinese-designed Nissan Lannia Concept debuts in Beijing

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Nissan showed off a stylish new concept car to the assembled crowds of media at the Beijing Motor Show. The Lannia Concept is... well, it's not that easy to describe. It's kind of a sedan, only it looks a bit like a fastback from the rear. But for a twist, it has an ever-so-small rear deck. Regardless of how we'd classify it, it's a seriously sharp piece of styling, thanks to its unique shape and flowing character lines.
If the Lannia's styling appears familiar, it's because we've sort of seen it before. There's more than a little bit of inspiration from the Friend-Me Concept. The Lannia's overall shape is similar to the Friend-Me, while both the front and rear clips look decidedly more production ready. Considering this evolution, we shouldn't rule out a production Lannia in the next few years. And if Nissan's product boss, Andy Palmer is any indication, the new model might not be limited to China.
"It was designed by Chinese, built by Chinese for the Chinese people, and ultimately, for the world," Palmer said in a statement. If Nissan can keep this sharp styling, this could prove a compelling buy in a number of markets.

Nissan gives us the business on the art of clay modeling

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

The team from The Dashboard recently stopped by the Nissan Technical Center in Japan for a look at what exactly goes into creating a full-scale clay model. While automakers have been using clay bucks for decades, designers and engineers are now combining computer renderings and hand-sculpted clay models to determine how a new vehicle will look in our world. Engineers use specially formulated clay kept warm in an oven to bring the body panels to life. They then coat the clay in a thin plastic film to add body color for the final look.
By the time everything is said and done, workers may have hundreds of hours in the model's creation. So, what happens when the company no longer needs the buck? They get scrapped. Someone comes in and dismantles the whole creation. We presume that action is set to the wailing tears of everyone who had a hand in building the model. Check out the video below for a closer look.

Worker killed at Nissan Tennessee plant

Sat, 27 Apr 2013

A worker has died at the Nissan assembly plant in Smyrna, TN following an accident. According to The Detroit News, the tragedy happened Thursday and involved a large electric panel that fell while it was being moved. The victim was not a Nissan employee, he was a worker for Michigan-based supplier Complete Automation.
Nissan has not released the name of the deceased, but has vowed to cooperate with the authorities investigating the accident. The Murfreesboro Post notes that this is the second death at the plant in recent years - in 2012, a transport truck driver was killed after his rig rolled forward, crushing him between his cab and trailer.
