New passenger side CV axle
New valve cover gaskets
New intake manifold gasket
New spark plugs
New VTC solenoids
Fully recharged AC - blows cold (heat also works well)
New motor mounts
New oil cooler o ring
New lower oil pan gasket
New front brake pads and rotors, rear in good shape
New wipers
Good battery
Good belts and hoses

Current emissions
Clean Carfax history - never wrecked
Engine is esxtremely clean

The only flaws are minor cosmetic ones - a couple very small dents (quarter sized), chipped paint on the front and rear bumper and a few cigarette burns on the interior. Everything mechanical works perfectly. It does not leak fluids of any kind and runs very smoothly. Again I was intending for my girl to drive the car so I made sure it was tip top. I have quite a bit of time and money in the vehicle and it is not a fixer - upper.  Vehicle must be picked up in person and paid in full before I will give it to anyone.  Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping.  I accept cash and Paypal transfers only.  I reserve the right to verify payment with Paypal before releasing the car.

Nissan details Craigslist 1996 Maxima restoration

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

"Luxury Defined," in the most ironic sense the galaxy has ever known, is now "Luxury Restored," in the real and incredible sense. Last September, Luke Aker made ads to sell his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE, the YouTube version being a mix truth, bombast, a British accent and a ratchet strap. The ad tickled Nissan such that it bought the car from Akes and made a donation to a charity of his choice. Then they consulted with the citizens of the Internet to decide what to do with it, the final vote being a complete restoration and display at the company's Nashville HQ.
Friends, Netizens, countrymen, the job is done. Nicknamed "Old Glory," comparing the old car with the new is like reading one of those shelter dog rescue stories where the loving family nurses an impossibly cute pup back to health with handheld nursing sessions, baby bottles of warm milk and whispered lullabies. Only Nissan probably didn't sing to the Maxima.
The Maxima is now on display, and we hope they've hung the ratchet strap with it. You can see Aker's new video on the transformation above, plus another video and press release below detailing the Maxima's journey back to New Glory.

Nissan says next Rogue coming September 10

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The Nissan Rogue has been around since 2007, and after nearly seven years on the market, it's about due for replacement. Which is just what Nissan has announced is coming up next down the pipeline.
The Japanese automaker didn't reveal much to go with this teaser image of the headlight and front fender, saying only that "the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue will push the envelope of CUV design starting on September 10 when it is unveiled." That's the day on which the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors for press previews, so it's pretty safe to say that we'll be seeing it at the Messe.
The news follows the spy shots we brought you two weeks ago. Expect the design to follow the lead set forth by the Hi-Cross concept from Geneva last year, with production to take place in Tennessee.

Nissan pulling Facebook ads over hate speech concerns

Fri, 31 May 2013

The system for advertising on Facebook allows companies to target specific demographics with ads that follow people based on their personal information, but as some companies have been finding out lately, this could lead to their ads showing up on questionable pages. According to Automotive News and The New York Times, Nissan has joined a growing list of companies that has pulled its advertising until the social media giant can guarantee that the ads won't appear on offensive pages.
This issue came about as a result of a group calling for Facebook to ban gender-based hate speech that went unchecked on some fan pages. Apparently, some of these offensive pages even showed images of women being abused. We won't post the names of the offensive pages, but you can find some of them listed on the NYT article, though it looks like most of the pages have since been removed. As for Nissan, AN says that the only ads it had at the time were for Nissan UK, and there is no telling how this issue will affect Facebook advertising in the future.
