THIS YEAR 2003 NISSAN ALTIMA IS A SWEET RIDE FOR SOMEONE LOOKING FOR A LONG TERM FORM OF TRANSPORTATION.
THE EXTERIOR CONDITION OF THIS NISSAN IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. PROBABLY ONLY A FEW MINOR FLAWS.
INTERIOR CONDITION OF UPHOLSTERY IS IN GREAT SHAPE, EXCLUDING A SMALL, (LIGHT BLUE SPOT ON THE SEAT PORTION OF PASSENGER FRONT SEAT) OTHERWISE, GREAT SHAPE.
WE GOT THIS CAR INITIALLY AND ASSUMED ENGINE WAS FINE. IT SMOKED, SO WE DECIDED TO REPLACE THE ENGINE.
****REPLACEMENT ENGINE IS AN ORIGINAL JAPANESE MOTOR. A QR20. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO UNDERSTAND JAPANESE REQUIREMENTS: EMISSIONS ARE DIFFERENT. INSTEAD OF HAVING THE CONTROLLED EMISSION PACKAGES, THEY SWAP ENGINES AT 50K. I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY. BUT RESEARCH IT.
****BECAUSE OF DIFFERENT EMISSIONS. THIS ENGINE IS ACTUALLY 60 HORSEPOWER HIGHER THAN ORIGINAL ENGINE IN CAR!!!
OUR COMPANY BOUGHT THE ENGINE FROM A RELIABLE COMPANY IN CANADA. WE HAVE THE RECIEPT. SO WE ARE ASSUMING REPLACEMENT ENGINE IN CAR PROBABLY HAS LESS THAN 60K.
ONCE ENGINE WAS REMOVED, WE CHECKED THE CLUTCH. IT WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. WE REPLACED (ALL) FLUIDS AND REPLACED CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER.
TIRES AND BRAKES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. CAR IS CURRENTLY VIRGINIA STATE INSPECTED.
ALTHOUGH DRIVETRAIN ON CAR IS 184K. ENGINE STANDS AT 60K. RUNS SMOOTH AS A PIN.
COLD AC!
FRONT END ALIGNMENT DONE.
PLEASE CHECK OUT PICS BELOW!!!!!

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
Semi-autonomous Nissan Leaf certified for road use in Japan [w/video]
Sat, 28 Sep 2013In order to meet its goal of having an autonomous car in production by 2020, Nissan is going to have be able to test its technology in real-world driving conditions. For this, the automaker has just received a license plate to legally test its semi-autonomous driver assist systems in Japan, marking the first time such technologies have been tested on that country's roads. Not ironically, the license plate number is 2020.
Though not fully autonomous, this Leaf prototype will test various components of a self-driving car including exiting the highway, the ability to stay in its lane and change lanes when needed, stopping at red lights and overtaking stopped or slow traffic. Nissan is also in the process of building a proving ground in Oppama, Japan dedicated solely to autonomous cars, but the ability to test on public roads will obviously play a crucial role in the development of these cars. Scroll down for a short video and press release Nissan posted to mark the occasion.
