2007 Nissan Xterra S Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l Mechanic's Special $ave Big Now!! on 2040-cars
Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States
hi and thnx. this is a new car dealer trade and has tranny issues. clean title, straight body, nice inside, full function and everything works. when on the road, Nissan drives well as far as steering, suspension, brakes, horn, wipers, lights, stereo, seats, full power and AWD. problem is check engine light is ON and the tranny has codes. engine coolant and transmission fluid mixed in a faulty radiator. tranny fluid is bad, car shifts poorly and does not perform well at all. too bad~!~ nice truck, good features, well kept up. engine is good with no knocks, leak or noise. but codes to the engine seem to keep it in limp or safe mode. Nissan has had this problem with a number of these and similar models. bright paint, looks good, rides good, smells good... a clean car. this will need to be shipped or picked up. it can only be driven short distances. I did take it down the road, got gas, brought it home, took photos, then had it parked. I do not want to make things worse. have bought and sold over 100 cars on eBay, and I am happy to continue. most of these cars for sale are new car dealer trades and or on consignment. as such, I am trying to avoid and keep down the number of re-lists, or not completed sales by high bidders. please do not bid or buy if you are short on cash, have many un-asked question or can't make arrangements with me regarding prompt payment and pick up. I can help with shipping, transport, motor vehicle paperwork, storage... all at little to no extra cost. happy to help, but please let me know ahead of time if you have an unusual situation ~!~ at time of pick up, you can expect car, keys, title, bill of sale, emission report, key(s), CT DMV Q-1 and booklets as available. on occasion, especially last minute or weekend schedules, the title may have to follow within the next business day or two, just to allow payments to clear. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- not a new car, not perfect, not showroom.... but overall great shape and worth buying. eBay sale price here ~!~ pay only what you want ~~. bid and buy. car is as shown and at my home; why not drive by, say hi and take it to your house? clean title and all documents !! j. bettes 800 Clinton ave bridgeport, CT 06604 203.258.3356 cell anytime |

Nissan says next Rogue coming September 10
Thu, 22 Aug 2013The Nissan Rogue has been around since 2007, and after nearly seven years on the market, it's about due for replacement. Which is just what Nissan has announced is coming up next down the pipeline.
The Japanese automaker didn't reveal much to go with this teaser image of the headlight and front fender, saying only that "the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue will push the envelope of CUV design starting on September 10 when it is unveiled." That's the day on which the Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors for press previews, so it's pretty safe to say that we'll be seeing it at the Messe.
The news follows the spy shots we brought you two weeks ago. Expect the design to follow the lead set forth by the Hi-Cross concept from Geneva last year, with production to take place in Tennessee.
'Charge lock' on Nissan Leaf doesn't actually prevent cable theft
Thu, Oct 2 2014Is it a feature or a bug? According to AutoblogGreen reader Francois Viau, the locking mechanism that holds the 110V trickle charge cable to his Nissan Leaf is too weak, and that's a problem. That's because while he thought the cable was locked to his car during a charge session at work, someone stole the cable, and it cost him $2,200 to replace it (in Canadian dollars, from the Nissan dealer). To see just how easy it is to unlock the mechanism, Viau had a "small assistant" jimmy it open with a plastic comb on video (watch it below). "The charge lock feature on Nissan Leaf is not intended to prevent theft of the charging cordset." – Brian Brockman We wondered if this was a common problem and, through the magic of Facebook, we had AutoblogGreen reader Phil Tipper try it out on his 2013 SL Leaf. He said he used an insulated handle flat screwdriver and was not able to defeat the lock. "I admit that I didn't want to force the mechanism for fear of breaking it, it didn't look like that kid used much force at all," he said. "Maybe this guy's mechanism was damaged in the theft and now it's very easy to trip the lock out of the way." Fifty percent of a sample size of two isn't a reliable metric, but if you're worried about locking your cable in place, you can see some of Viau's anti-theft solutions here (in French, with pictures). Turns out, though, that the white plastic bit that prevents the cable handle from working during a charge isn't really an anti-theft device. Brian Brockman, senior manager of corporate communications for Nissan North America, told AutoblogGreen that, "The charge lock feature on Nissan Leaf is not intended to prevent theft of the charging cordset. It is designed to discourage someone from unplugging the vehicle while a charging session is in progress. The trickle charge cable features a small hole in the release button to allow the owner to insert a lock to reduce the chance of theft." So, now you know. This content is hosted by a third party. 2015 Nissan Versa Sedan continues to prioritize space and price over looks
Wed, 16 Apr 2014Nissan's refresh of its cavernous Versa Sedan is on hand today at the 2014 New York Auto Show. While we continue to appreciate the Versa for its space and low price, this slight restyling of the four-door sedan hasn't done much for its uninspiring appearance.
Newly enlarged headlights and a reworked, more Altima-like grille are the biggest changes to the front of this Versa, although Nissan has also added some brightwork around the revised foglight housings. Integrated turn signals liven up the mirrors, while the rear of the car wears a new and almost strangely sporty bumper.
Perhaps more importantly for prospective owners, Nissan has also made a few interior tweaks, with a new steering wheel and a revised center stack leading the change. There's some new available tech on the top-end SL model, as well.
