Up for auction, with NO RESERVE!, is a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R sedan. This car is equipped with the 165hp 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Options include power windows, power locks, keyless, entry, A/C, cruise control, CD player w/AUX input, sunroof and more! This car is in good overall condition but does have some flaws. The body of the car is very nice but it does have a few scratches/dings and the paint is peeling off of the rear bumper cover as shown in the pictures. I received a quote from the local body shop for a cost of $150 to get the cover repainted. I got this car in on a trade and have been driving it to work and back for a few weeks now so the mileage will vary slightly by the end of the auction. I have had no problems with it, and the car seems to have plenty of power and has been averaging about 25mpg. This would make a great first car for someone or anybody looking to save on fuel costs. This is a used vehicle and is therefor sold as-is with no warranty. Mitsubishi and Renault-Nissan expand partnership, US will get new sedan
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Mitsubishi and Renault-Nissan have just inked an alliance that might, hopefully, reverse the ailing fortunes of the Mitsubishi brand in the US market. The big chunk of news is that Mitsubishi will produce two Renualt-based models for sale in the US market, and that they'll be built at the Renault-Samsung factory in Busan, South Korea.
The plans call for a D-segment sedan to be followed by a C-segment offering. Based on the cars built at the Busan factory, that means Mitsubishi will be getting the SM5 and the SM3, a pair of handsome sedans that are based on Renault-Nissan's D and C platforms, respectively. These same platforms underpin a number of US market Nissans (not to mention a number of cars from Renault), namely the Pathfinder, Maxima, Quest and Murano for the D platform and the last-generation Rogue and Sentra for the C platform.
Besides the sedan production, Nissan and Mitsubishi will be expanding their joint-venture company, NMKV, which produces Kei cars for the Japanese market. A new, all-electric offering will be born from the partnership, likely based on a Kei car platform. The partnership between the three brands will also lead to increased sharing of technology, particularly relating to electric cars.

Thu, 19 Dec 2013When Luke Akers wanted to sell his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE - yes, the one seen above that needs a ratchet strap to keep the front end from bursting with joy - the Florida filmmaker turned on his cameras and yelled "Quiet on set!" The result is a one-minute videographic homage to mankind's monuments, narrated with all the intensity of a BBC documentary to sell a 17-year-old sports sedan that comes "fully loaded with an engine, wheels, tires and an automatic transmission."
Just like the car in question, the ad did its job: Nissan bought the Maxima from Akers and the company donated another $1,000 to his charity of choice. NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.
