Background Information:
For sale is my 2003 SE-R Spec V with 86,417 miles. I bought the car back in 2006 with 20,xxx miles and have been the owner since then. I threw some loctite on the butterfly screws and put an XS Power header on right after purchasing it (well known potential problems that need to be remedied on Sentras). After that the modifications slowly added on, largely for reliability. Typically 3-5k OCIs. FYI, part of the driver side front bumper cover cracked off after hitting a construction cone a semi shot out at me at freeway speeds. No impact on drive ability but it is a cosmetic defect aside from the normal wear and tear that an 85k mile car would have.
Modification List:
AEM CAI (currently SRI)
AEBS Header
Custom mid-section with magnaflow catalytic converter
Stromung 2.25” Cat-Back Exhaust w/ resonator
Apex’i S-AFCII
Innovate Motorsports LC-1 & SSI-4 & DB Gauge (custom gauge pod)
Tein SS Coilovers
JWT Balance Shaft Removal Kit
Other small things like brakes, fluids, etc.
Side notes:
- The car does pass emissions.
- The car will not be sold with a tune. It is hooked up and functional should you choose to do your research and learn how to tune a car for yourself. With a tune, I regularly get 26-30 mpg. Never dynoed, not really interested in numbers.
- I have summer tires mounted on the stock wheels. I have winter tires mounted on steelies. Both will be included in the sale. Also have two sets of floor mats for winter/summer and a genuine Nissan car cover.
- I also have most of the stock parts as well as the old XS header. I will not provide the stock header as you should have no use for it.
- Car also has an FM Modulator (not transmitter, modulator… basically an AUX plug for phones, iPods, etc)

Nissan presents NV200 is the brave new face of London taxis [w/video]
Mon, 06 Jan 2014In most cities, just about any vehicle can serve as a taxi - so long as it meets the owner/operator's requirements for reliability, comfort and utility. But certain cities have their own unique taxis, and Nissan has been working hard to corner those markets. It has already designed specific taxis for such locations as New York, Barcelona and Tokyo, but its latest effort will bring a new Hackney Carriage to the streets of London.
A year and a half ago, Nissan displayed its NV200 on the streets of London in traditional black livery. But this new design takes the customization for the British capital one step further. Working closely with the mayor's office and with cab drivers across the city, Nissan's European design center in the Paddington district has reskinned the NV200 specifically to serve as the new black cab in London. The new face features round headlights, a new grille, LED lighting and a restyled front bumper. The steering has also been reconfigured to meet the 25-foot turning circle requirements for Hackney Carriages, as the black cabs are known on the streets of London.
The result is a distinctly British take on the NV200 taxi - one that we're guessing won't go without its fair share of controversy. Nissan will begin offering the black cab at the end of the year with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine mated to an automatic transmission, a powertrain said to be cleaner than the diesels used in existing taxis. And Nissan should know, having supplied many of those 2.7-liter turbodiesels in the '80s and '90s. But if that's not clean enough, the Japanese automaker will also begin selling an electric version, the e-NV200, starting next year. Watch the video clip and read the full details in the press release below.
Nissan to unveil next-gen Qashqai on Nov. 7
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Never heard of the Nissan Qashqai? That's alright, because Nissan has a big crossover lineup, and this one is only sold overseas. But in the markets where it's available, it's been an unbridled success and the cash-cow its name suggests. It was introduced in 2007, and by the end of that year, Nissan had already sold 100,000 of them in Europe alone. By 2011 it had made a million of them, and to date has sold over two million worldwide. And now it's preparing to launch an all-new model to replace it.
Spied while undergoing development a few months ago, Nissan has now announced that it will reveal the new Qashqai on November 7th. But to keep us on our toes, the Japanese automaker has released this teaser image.
Cloaked and looking like something out of Tron, the new Qashqai promises to borrow heavily from the Resonance concept shown earlier this year in Detroit (a bit ironic since the Qashqai isn't sold here) and follow the lead of the new Rogue (or X-Trail as its known in markets where it shares showroom floorspace with the Qashqai).
Nissan bringing 2014 Versa Note to Detroit
Sat, 12 Jan 2013Nissan today confirmed that it will be showing the 2014 Versa Note - not Versa, not Note, but Versa Note - at next week's 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And while we can't see a whole lot from this one teaser image, we're willing to bet that the car looks a lot like this.
All Nissan will tell us at this time is that the Versa Note will have "segment-exclusive technology, outstanding fuel economy, smart packaging and class-leading cargo space." Sounds... class-competitive.
Given how turned-off we are by the second-generation Versa sedan, it'll be interesting to see just what's in store for this Notably more functional version of the affordable compact. Stay tuned for the full details live from Cobo Hall in just a few days, and scroll down to read Nissan's brief press blast.
