I have a very good condition 91 (B13) Sentra SE-R up for sale. The car
has about 116,000 miles on it and has some great and very hard to find
upgrades. The interior is in excellent condition. The majority of these
generation sentras have rust and/or rot. This car is way above average
in that regard and is basically rust free. The car looks stock, but would make a great autocross or road course car. The intake and
exhaust are very mild in sound and are not annoyingly loud. The handling is really what sets the car apart though. It is not set up as a 1/4 mile car or street racer.
In the last week, these were replaced: oil, spark plugs, fuel filter, and high pressure power steering line. Upgrades to the car: 3" air intake, header, borla s/s catback exhaust, fidanza aluminum flywheel, active tuning ftsb and lower control arm brace, b15 alternator, front and rear Progress sway bars, ES Bushings/MM's, Raxles, ss brake lines, shigspeed/koni coilovers-330F/300R, GC adjustable camber plates, unorthodox pulleys, GTI-r radiator, nx front brakes, U13 Brake MC. nice cd player with tweeter in the front doors, B14 15" wheels with close to new 205/50/15 tires, gti-r steering wheel. Cons: the car has plenty of parking dings, needs new antenna (should have replaced this weekend), front passenger fender does not have the gray bottom, gti-r steering wheel leather is in bad shape (still way better than crappy stock wheel), AC is all there but needs a charge. The shigspeed coilovers are long discontinued and cost $2500 when new. You would be hard pressed to find a better handling setup with anywhere close to this ride quality- adjustable rebound as well. Here is a quote about the coilovers: "They are Koni 8611's in custom housings using GC collars. His rear mounts for B13's do kick serious ass. Really nicely machined rear pillowball mounts that eliminate all play. I didn't have too many questions, since I got to drive a car with them and go for a track ride. Sold me on the spot! The SHigSpeed Suspension consists of shortened externally adjustable Koni Sport Struts (Yellows) front and rear with adjustable rebound and dampening. The rebound can be doubled and the compression can be tripled to go from street cruiser to crack your dental work track ready status. The strut shaft on these Koni's is a stout 22mm vs 18 and 20 mm on our previous setup. For springs Eibach ERS are used with spring rates at 380 front and 300 rear. Most aggressive street SE-Rs run 300 front and 200 rear but we're willing to compromise a little comfort to ensure our suspension is more at home on the track." |

As of today, Nissan has sold 50,000 Leafs in the US, 115,000 globally
Fri, May 23 2014Watch out, America, there are 50,000 Nissan Leaf electric vehicles prowling your streets. That's the official word from Nissan, which says it has just delivered the 50,000th Leaf – a black SL model – to Todd and Lisa Bolt in Dallas, Texas. Todd is a pastor at the Gateway Church in Southlake, where there almost two dozen Leaf drivers who call themselves the "Blessed LEAFs Club." We're not making that up. Divinely inspired or not, Todd said in a statement that the EV completely meets the family's needs and that, "I don't know why we'd buy another gas car." Last September, Nissan announced it had sold 35,000 Leaf EVs in the US so far, and the 25,000 mark came in May last year. Globally, "nearly 115,000" Leafs have been sold, which makes Nissan's workhorse the most popular EV by a long shot. To celebrate the occasion, Nissan has put together an infographic (click to enlarge) showing the cumulative effects of all those electric vehicles on the roads. While they're only estimates based on taking the actual data from the CarWings connected vehicles (which make up 55 percent of the total fleet) and extrapolating, the numbers are still impressive. Around 906,000,000 miles driven, which means 241,000 metric tons of CO2 saved from going into the air. 50,000 Leaf sales is a big deal, sure, but we're much more keen on those cleaner air figures. NISSAN DELIVERS 50,000TH ALL-ELECTRIC LEAF IN U.S. TO TEXAS FAMILY DALLAS (May 23, 2014) -- Nissan, the global leader in electric vehicle (EV) sales, achieved another milestone this month as Dallas residents Todd and Lisa Bolt made Nissan LEAF the first all-electric model to hit 50,000 sales in the U.S. The Bolt family took delivery of their black LEAF SL earlier this month at AutoNation Nissan of Lewisville. Thanks to enthusiastic owner advocates, robust public charging infrastructure and the launch of a successful free charging promotion, Dallas – and the state of Texas – have become hot growth markets for LEAF. So far in 2014, LEAF sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex have grown by about 50 percent over the previous year, with that growth set to accelerate faster thanks in part to the introduction of a new state tax rebate of up to $2,500 on the purchase or lease of a new Nissan LEAF.
Panoz and DeltaWing suing Nissan over BladeGlider concept
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Similarity is bound to occur in an industry where most of the products follow the same basic formula. But once in a while a new design comes along that doesn't quite reinvent the wheel, but comes pretty damn close. The DeltaWing project was one such design - and Nissan, the car's designers allege, stole that design.
After the DeltaWing proposal was rejected by the IndyCar series, its creators took it to Le Mans and brought Nissan on board to supply the power. Nissan subsequently pulled out of the program and came out with the ZEOD RC hybrid racer (right), bearing a suspiciously similar design with an unusually narrow front track at the end of a long nose cone, and a wider track at the back. The Japanese automaker then displayed the BladeGlider concept (below, right) at the Tokyo Motor Show, envisioning a translation of the same formula into road-going form.
The similarity did not escape Don Panoz, who - after making sports and racing cars under his own name and founding the now-defunct American Le Mans Series - was a central figure in bringing the original DeltaWing to life. Now Panoz has filed a lawsuit against Nissan, soliciting the courts to issue a cease-and-desist order on both the ZEOD RC and BladeGlider projects, naming Nissan motorsport chief Darren Cox and Ben Bowlby (who defected to Nissan from the DeltaWing program) as part of the suit.
2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper
Fri, Nov 10 2017With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave.
