2001 Nissan Pathfinder SE. VERY RARE, You will not find another one with the low low mileage this one has. I bought it with every intention of keeping it but I just started a new job and got a company truck and don't have a need for it anymore.  I bought it a couple of months ago with 51,000 miles, searched for 6 months to find a stick pathfinder with low mileage that was clean.  This was the exact truck I wanted, It was intended to be my personal truck and I was goint to drive it for a long time.  After I got it I changed all the fluids, front, rear, trans, transfer case, over to mobil 1 full synthetic gear oil, (that way they never have to be changed again) replaced the air filter, There was a tiny hole in the muffler, I replaced the exhaust from the cat back, and changed the oil with mobil 1 synthetic oil every 3000 miles, and just gave it a fresh oil change yesterday. This truck needs nothing but a new owner, It runs smooth and quiet, clutch grabs nice, stops on a dime, brake pedal is firm, tires in rear have 25% tread left fronts have 50% tread.  all the power windows work great, as well as the electronics, 4 wheel drive works perfect and this truck can handle the snow with ease. It is super clean in side, and still smells and looks new, the outside is very nice as well, only has one mark on the rear bumper as pictured, The paint is perfect and glossy, it looks more like a 1 or 2 year old truck.  I am sad to see it go but I don't have the room to keep it.  whoever buys this truck is pretty much getting a new truck, at only 59000 miles, this is a truck that will run 300,000 miles easy.  Its low maintenance. its the 255 horsepower 3.5 which has a timing chain , not a belt so it never has to be replaced, the spark plugs are good til 100,000 miles, all you have to really do is change the oil and put gas in it., please feel free to email me with any questions or to set up a time to come see it and drive it before you bid, I am starting the bid very low with no reserve, if you want to buy it now, the price is $9500.Thanks for looking.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder: January 2013

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

We've now had our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder for about a month, and some impressions are starting to solidify, while others remain contentious among the team. Most notable among those contentious items is our Pathfinder's paint color, which was chosen by vote among the Autoblog team.
Dubbed Mocha Stone, it beat out Cayenne Red by a single vote. I was a Mocha Stone supporter and like it even more in person than on Nissan's configurator. It's a mature choice that can be comfortably placed in the grouping of silver, white and gray tones buyers routinely choose most often over all the colors of the rainbow offered on cars these days for the sake of attention. Staunch opponents of Mocha Stone on the team remain unswayed. Democracy is a difficult process, people.

Why this could be the perfect time for Apple to make a car play

Fri, Aug 31 2018

While the automotive and technology worlds have been pouring billions into autonomous vehicles (AVs) and preparing to bring them to market soon as shared robo-taxis, Apple has mostly sat on the sidelines. Of course, Apple is the last company to ever make its intentions known, and the super-secret tech cult giant hasn't been totally out of the AV game based on the clues that have slipped out of its Cupertino, Calif., citadel over the past few years. Related: Apple self-driving cars are real — one was just in an accident News first broke in 2015 that it had assembled an automotive development team, in part by poaching high-profile talent from car companies, to work on a top-secret self-driving vehicle project code-named Titan. (Thank you very much, Nissan.) Apple also subsequently broke cover by making inquiries into using a Northern California AV testing facility and receiving a permit to test AVs on public roads in California. But then as the AV race started to heat up in the last few years, Apple reportedly began scaling back its car activities by downsizing team Titan. More recently, Apple's car project has shown signs of life with the hiring a high-level engineer away from Waymo and luring one Tesla's top engineers and a former employee back to Apple. It also inked a deal with Volkswagen to provide a technology platform and software to convert the automaker's new T6 Transporter vans into autonomous shuttles for employees at tech company's new campus. That is a far cry from giving rides to Wal-Mart shoppers, like Waymo is doing as part of its AV testing in Phoenix. But this could be the perfect time for Apple to enter the AV market now that ride-sharing is reaching critical mass and automakers and others are planning to deploy fleets of robo-taxis. Apple could easily establish a niche as a high-end ride-sharing service – and charge a premium – given its cult-like brand loyalty and design savvy. The growth of car subscription models could also play in Apple's favor since is already has many people hooked on paying for phones in monthly installments – and eager to upgrade when a new and better model becomes available. To achieve this, some believe Apple will fulfill co-founder and CEO Steve Job's dream of building a car. And as the world's first and only $1 trillion company it's sitting on a mountain of cash that certainly gives it the means. But other tech darlings like Tesla and Google have discovered how difficult it can be to build cars at scale.

Watch a Nissan GT-R make up 17 spots on the first lap

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

By now, enthusiasts should be plenty used to seeing the Nissan GT-R passing "lesser" vehicles on the road - and let's face it, that accounts for a good 99-percent of other cars out there. But what about on the racetrack, where GT racers are all homologated to the same general specifications and tuned with an eye toward fairer competition?
Turns out Godzilla is just as formidable an adversary on the track, as demonstrated by this latest video. Shot from inside the cabin of British driver Alex Buncombe's GT3 racer during the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Monza, the video shows what happens (or at least happened this time) when a well-driven GT-R is relegated to the back of the grid - even when that grid is populated by the likes of Porsche, Aston Martin, Lamborghini and McLaren.
Buncombe and his teammates in the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN ultimately finished the race in 13th place, but what's remarkable is that they started way back in 32nd, making up 17 places on the first lap alone. Scope out the frenetic action in the video below.
