This has been my car for the past few years. Before me, my mother owned it from ~2002 till 2010 when I bought it off her. It has 112,642 miles on body and drive train, and still has a lot of miles left in it due to Nissans legendary 3.0L V6 and nearly bullet proof transmissions. Everything works great on this car. I have had no serious issues with it besides the normal wear parts that I recently replaced (Brake pads, Tie rods, Ball joints, etc) The only rust is on rear driver fender, and its only minor surface rust (see picture) Runs and starts up great with no issues. Oil has been changed at every 3000 mile increment and always premium fuel (93 octane) at every fill up. 22 city, 28 highway MPG from what I have calculated. Transmission flush at 98,730 Miles with B&M automatic Trick Shift fluid and shifts like butter gear to gear, that you cant even feel. It comes with 2 sets of wheels, The white stock Nissan 17" wheels and 2 brand new Fuzion UHP tires, and a set of 16" RX-7 wheels with Pirelli tires for winter. I am only selling because I plan on getting a Subaru Impreza in the near future and have had some financial issues with my growing family. This would be a great car for daily commuting or a first car. I do have a few mods on it which include:
Spectre 3" Air intake with P7 filter
Custom exhaust with Flowmaster 40 Series muffler (Deep tone, Not obnoxiously loud)
NGK Iridium spark plugs
C-West Voltage stabilizer
DLZ Performance tie rod ends, sway bar links, and ball joints
Megan Racing front sway bar
K Sport 2" Lowering springs with Moog camber kit
Nokya Oil cap
8000k HIDs in headlight and fog lights
Autolite vacuum and volt A pillar gauges
Audio/ Visual Mods:
02/03 Maxima aftermarket front grill
Debadged trunk lid
5% Rear window tint
Most bulbs on car converted to LED (Tag light, courtesy lamps, map light, etc)
Pioneer head unit (MP3/CD/AUX/USB/AM/FM/XM)
Boss Audio 250W tweeters
MTX 10" 500W Thunder series woofer in ported box
Visonik 300W 2 channel amp
The sub/ amp, GPS, and Radar will not be included in the sale unless buyer wants to agree on additional price. I'm sure I'm missing a few minor upgrades. If there is anything you would like to be converted back to stock, let me know (Even if its the whole car) I kept all OEM parts and will be included in the sale. Asking $3800 OBO. Sold as is. If there is any questions call, txt, or email me @ 269-635-2765 (cell) 269-687-6235 (home) thouck@swmich.edu Thanks!

RC car drift video brings Fast and Furious style in 1:10 scale
Mon, Apr 13 2015Taking a cue from Lexus' 2015 Super Bowl ad Let's Play, Falken Tire is proving that RC cars can drift just as well, if not better, than their full-size counterparts. However, to make things four times as exciting, this clip eschews a single hopped-up model hanging its tail out in favor of a quartet of them sliding around together. Starring 1:10 RC versions of popular drift machines like the Nissan S15 Silvia, Mazda FD-chassis RX-7 and Initial D star Toyota Corolla AE86, these cars also get a suite of blinking LEDs to lend some extra color to all of the tire spinning. Plus, the use of well-positioned cameras and a scale model environment almost makes this group look like they're at work in the real world. Cadillac tops Tesla in Consumer Reports semi-automated driving test
Thu, Oct 4 2018General Motors' Cadillac outscored Tesla in a new ranking of partially automated driving systems tested by Consumer Reports and released on Thursday. The highly influential nonprofit organization, which tests and rates a variety of consumer products from appliances to vehicles, said it compared Cadillac's Super Cruise and Tesla's Autopilot with similar systems from Nissan and Volvo. Nissan's ProPilot Assist was ranked third and Volvo's Pilot Assist fourth. Consumer Reports said it has been testing partially automated driving systems for several years but elected to conduct a formal study intended for publication, because "we are at a tipping point where they are now going mainstream," according to Jake Fisher, director of auto testing. The organization said its tests, conducted on a private track and on public roads in Connecticut, were designed to measure the systems' ability to automatically control steering and speed in certain situations, while helping drivers pay attention and regain manual control of the vehicle when required. CR noted that any of these systems can increase driving risk if used in inappropriate situations, or if drivers become inattentive or over-reliant on them. While they can help relieve driver stress and fatigue, Consumer Reports said, the partially automated systems are "not intended to be self-driving features." The systems typically use cameras, radar and other sensors, as well as mapping data, to monitor location and traffic conditions and help keep a vehicle centered in the lane at a safe distance behind other cars. Each system has limitations. Cadillac's Super Cruise, for instance, only functions on divided highways that have been mapped by GM. In contrast, Tesla's Autopilot can be used even on small, curvy roads with poor lane markings, but "operates erratically in those situations," Consumer Reports said. The organization tested Super Cruise on the Cadillac CT6; Autopilot on the Tesla Model 3, Model X and Model S; ProPilot Assist on the Nissan Leaf and Infiniti QX50; and Pilot Assist on the Volvo XC40 and XC60. Consumer Reports said Cadillac's Super Cruise did "the best job of balancing high-tech capabilities with ensuring the car is operated safely and the driver is paying attention." Tesla's Autopilot was cited for its capability and ease of use, while Nissan's ProPilot Assist did a better job than Autopilot or Volvo's Pilot Assist in keeping drivers engaged.
2014 Nissan Rogue
Fri, 01 Nov 2013When I first started in this whole automotive journalism biz, I held a sort of hodgepodge receptionist/gopher/production assistant role, and each morning as the staff filed in, I'd ask them how they liked whatever car they were assigned to drive the previous night. Most of my colleagues would regale me with anecdotes about how good or bad a vehicle was, but one co-worker, every single morning, would answer my query with the exact same phrase: "It was fine."
I always assumed this was just a brush-off, an "ask me again after I've had a cup of coffee" sort of response. But then I found myself in a similar moment of brevity following the launch of the 2014 Nissan Rogue earlier this week. After returning home, a friend asked me what I thought of the new Rogue, and I replied, word for word, "It was fine."
And, well, it was. Nothing worth wasting exclamation points over, good or bad. Aside from something like the interesting-to-drive Mazda CX-5 or funky-looking Jeep Cherokee, nothing in this class really tries to set the world on fire. And that, right there, is fine. Nissan doesn't need to do anything crazy with its second-generation Rogue. It just needs to offer a well-equipped crossover that's handsome, functional, efficient and priced right - sticking to the same formula that made the first-generation model so successful while offering the latest crop of creature comforts in a more modern package.
