This car will sell with the first reasonable offer.  Don't hold off on making an offer.

Relisted due to improper wording in the prior listing.  Please read the below very carefully.

Selling a 1991 Nissan Skyline GTS-T R32 Type M.  This is arguably one of the most sought after exotic Japanese supercars to be offered for sale in North America.  EBay does not have a category for this car, so I placed it in the closest one available.  It is not a GTR but a GTS-T and basically a stock version with the following mods:

Aftermarket parts that came with it from Japan:
  • Blow-off valve HKS SQV(Sequential Valve) Note, this is not the 'modern' SSQV which is a very high pitched and loud sound, this has a much quieter, natural, but still noticeable blow-off sound.
  • JVC Amp and Subwoofer combo under driver's seat.
  • Datasystem ATS234 Turbo timer.
  • In-dash TV with analog tuner
  • Sony cd-player and radio with removable front cover.
Aftermarket parts installed by previous owner:
  • AEM UEGO Wideband Air Fuel ratio gauge
  • Apexi SAFC (original SAFC, not SAFC 2 or Neo, currently hooked up for read-only, doesn't affect fuel maps)
Aftermarket parts installed by current owner:
  • 3A Racing Air Intake Filter
  • Glowshift PSI Boost gauge

Mechanically, absolutely everything works on the car. 2 warning lights seen in the pics indicate a parking brake and a door open. Car has excellent compression, does not leak any fluids, no strange or unusual noises, and does not smoke.  Primary tach is in-op, however the RPM's are correctly regsitered on the Apexi airflow converter. Oil changes are done using the best and most advanced synthetic oil on the market, Royal Purple. Odometer reads in KM, but the conversion to miles is X .62 .

Cosmetic there are just a couple items to point out.  Along the left side it appears the car brushed up against a white object (see pics below).  This blemish is found just above the front wheel, just ahead of the rear wheel and a bit by the back bumper.  It's hard to see from the pics taken 10ft out, but closeups will indicate this.  Also, there is some light fading around the fuel cap that is also seen in the pics.  The paint is original and for some buyers add value, so I'll leave it up to the new owner on fixing or just re painting with the buyer's choice of color. Car was originally in southern Japan (salt free) and once delivered to North America, garaged during winters.  I believe these high resolution pictures to be quite accurate in representing the car and are consistent with the age and mileage of this car.

Car is offered for sale in Ontario, Canada just across the river from Buffalo, NY.   If you are thinking of having the car delivered, please contact me prior to bidding to discuss the details.  Can provide airport transportation in Buffalo, NY or Toronto, ON.

Car was purchased on Canadian soil therefore there is no import paperwork.  It is legal in Canada under the 15 year law below:

Importing vehicles from countries other than the United States

You cannot import a vehicle that was manufactured to meet the safety standards of a country other than the United States or Canada unless the vehicle is the following:

  • 15 years old or older (excluding buses)

VIN # is HCR32258012

It is rather unlikely the car will be financed through traditional lending sources.  If seeking a car loan, or any loan for that matter, please ensure you are approved prior to bidding.  I will not accept finance problems as a way to back out of the winning bid.

Payment terms: 1/2 of purchase price due within 3 days of the close of auction with the balance due within 14 days or at time of pick up.  Will accept bank to bank wire or cash (in person of course) only.  Paypal is required in order to bid but not accepted as a form of payment.

Nissan's Dacia Duster-based Terrano revealed

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The new Nissan Terrano has appeared in production form after an apparent August 20 launch in India, but the small sport utility vehicle remains sadly aloof from the US market. We've had our eyes on the Terrano ever since we learned it would be produced as an upscale alternative to the Dacia Duster on which it's based, but currently Nissan has no plans to import it here. Blame safety and perhaps emissions laws - the Duster was never designed for our market.
Even with these less-than-high resolution images, it's clear that the beyond the obvious badges, Nissan's signature trapezoidal grille and a slightly altered rear end with new taillights are the biggest visual clues that this is the Terrano, but those with astute eyes will also notice a slightly redesigned hood and blacked-out door pillars instead of the Duster's body-colored items. Either way, it looks to be a handsome, low-cost little brute - the sort of simple and rugged SUV that's hard to come by in today's marketplace.

Infiniti puts EV plans on hold again

Thu, Jan 22 2015

Think of it as the green-automotive industry's version of Groundhog Day. Nissan's Infiniti division is putting plans for its first mass-production electric vehicle on hold. Again. The Infiniti LE, whose concept version was unveiled 2012's New York Auto Show, is again being put up on the proverbial blocks, USA Today says, citing a presentation by Infiniti executive Michael Bartsch at a recent company event in Detroit. Essentially, the Nissan division has bigger fish to fry, in the form of boosting overall Infiniti sales, and doesn't yet want to put the effort into introducing the Infiniti LE. The Infiniti EV plans were first postponed by then-Infiniti President Johan de Nysschen during the summer of 2013, as de Nysschen wasn't quite buying into Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn's ambitious electric vehicle sales projections. De Nysschen resigned last summer to join General Motors' Cadillac division. One issue may be the fact that the Infiniti wouldn't be all that different from the Nissan Leaf. Despite the fact that US sales of that EV surged 34 percent last year compared to 2013, to 30,200 vehicles, an Infiniti version was apparently not enough of a selling point within the company. While the Infiniti is sportier looking than the Leaf and would boast inductive, wireless charging, it would have a similar power output and single-charge range as the Leaf.

A look inside Infiniti's variable-compression engine

Thu, Sep 29 2016

We're sympathetic to anyone who had trouble understanding what's going on with Infiniti's new variable-compression engine. While we got a full tech briefing on the novel VC-Turbo back in August, the visual aids were lacking. The cutaway engine Infiniti brought to the Paris show fixes all of that. You can thank the little green and pink lines on the cutaway for making the whole idea a little more clear. Click through the gallery to see two lines – one green and one pink – that represent the different strokes allowing for different compression ratios. Remember, the compression ratio is the amount of volume in the cylinder on intake compared to the amount at the end of the compression stroke. Leave more room at the end and you lower that ratio. The length of the stroke doesn't change with this system, but where it sits along the cylinder does. Hence those two lines. The variable compression ratio allows this new turbocharged engine to maximize fuel economy when the turbo isn't needed by raising the compression ratio. It will see its first use in the next Infiniti QX50 crossover, previewed by the QX Sport Inspiration concept that's also on display in Paris, and has performance targets of 268 horsepower and 288 pound-feet of torque. After, it will migrate to other Infiniti and Nissan vehicles, with transverse front-drive-based applications first in line. Eventually, it's likely to completely replace Nissan's corporate 3.5-liter V6. We'll be poking around the engine a little more in Paris today to try and get some more info. For now, enjoy those cutaway images and those friendly little lines.
