Low Miles - 2010 Nissan Gtr Premium With 13.6k Miles on 2040-cars
Frederick, Maryland, United States
I purchased this Gun Metal gray GTR used in August 2013 with 9,900 miles. Now has just 13,665 miles on it so you can see the car is not driven that much. Used solely as a fun car for weekend driving. Garaged day and night. Car is totally stock save for an HKS Legamax exhaust. No holes in front bumper; Stillen front plate holder installed in tow hook. All service has been done in accordance with schedule; Nissan powertrain warranty (including transmission) still in place until 11/14 I have never tracked the car nor have I ever had it dyno'd. It has been garage kept. Factory options include IPOD connection, GTR logo floor mats and car cover. Clear bra covers the entire front end of the car (hood, bumper, fenders and mirrors). Exterior and interior are in phenomenal shape. No scratches, dents, dings, etc. Only blemish on the car is scraped lower front lip (see attached picture) The car will need new tires come Spring time ( currently 4/32) and is priced accordingly. Brand new brake pads; rotors are in excellent shape. Pre purchase inspection at buyers expense is welcomed. Carfax/History report shows four owners. Two of those were actually dealers that took title to the car. I am actually the third real owner of the car.
The only reason for selling the car is to free up cash to make a real estate investment.

Watch Formula Drift Championship leader Chris Forsberg drift a 1975 Datsun 280Z
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Chris Forsberg won the Formula Drift Championship in 2009, was in the catbird seat to win it last year until the final race of the season and started this year's season with a win at Long Beach. That is how he can be provide the example for Clarion USA's tagline, "Dream like a champion."
In this three-minute video for the audio components manufacturer, Forsberg gives up the race suit for a corporate suit, then takes time out of his commute to think about what he'd rather be doing. In a 1975 Nissan 280Z with a turbocharged 2.0-liter Skyline RBDET20 engine. We're sure this has never happened to any of you before.
You can watch how dream begins - and suddenly ends - in the video below.
Renault COO Tavares dreams of running GM or Ford
Fri, 16 Aug 2013What do you do if you're in a job with no upward mobility? Admittedly, most of us just stick it out while secretly hoping our boss is sacked for all those paperclips he's been swiping, netting us a nice, shiny promotion. Then again, most of us aren't the number two at Renault, like Carlos Tavares.
Tavares is the right-hand man to Renault CEO, Carlos Ghosn, and like a lot of us, he's ready for another challenge. As Ghosn is only 59 years old and doesn't have a boss to fire him for paperclip theft, though, it's pretty unlikely that he'll be going anywhere anytime soon. Tavares doesn't seem too concerned, based on an interview he gave to Automotive News. "We have a big leader and he is here to stay," Tavares told AN.
What's surprising is where Tavares wants to go, "Why not GM? I would be honored to lead a company like GM." The Renault exec also mentioned Ford, and as AN points out, both organizations make a lot of sense. Both are led by CEOs that are approaching or are already past retirement age, and should be looking for dedicated replacements in the not-so-distant future. That doesn't mean Tavares is a shoe-in, though.
Nissan's big price cuts threatening others' profits
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Bloomberg reports Nissan may be keeping the competition up at night even more than normal. The Japanese automaker recently cut prices on seven of its models and bolstered incentive offerings in an attempt to gain market share in the US, and the strategy is working. Last month saw the company's sales leap by 25 percent, which is nearly triple the industry average. Nissan is currently taking advantage of the weak yen - Japanese currency has fallen by 15 percent against the dollar, which has given the automaker around $1,500 per car to use to either add features or cut prices. Some analysts are calling the policy "scorched earth."
Meanwhile, American automakers like Ford, General Motors and Chrysler are doing their best to keep from sliding back into old bad habits. The Detroit Three have steadily moved away from a discount and incentive strategy to bring in new buyers since the 2009 recession. Those short-sighted tactics helped paved the way for bankruptcy at both GM and Chrysler. As Bloomberg reports, the resolve to stay away from big discounts may falter if Toyota begins using similar tactics.
