2011 Nissan Gtr Premium / Switzer P800 / 800hp / Clean & Meticulously Serviced on 2040-cars
Dallas, Texas, United States
I am listing my 2011 Nissan GTR Premium for sale. The car has a Switzer P800 package, which boosts the power to 800HP on 93 pump gas. The kit was installed at Automotive Connoisseur Group in San Diego, a very reputable shop that installs many Alpha kits on GTRs and aftermarket performance kits on a handful of other exotics (Lamborghini, Ferrari, Audi, etc). I have receipts for all of the work done there. For those of you not familiar with Switzer, they are the top aftermarket shop for GTRs (switzerperformance.com). I am the second owner, the first owner was my close friend so I have been around the car throughout its lifetime and know the history of the vehicle stone cold. This was never used as a track or drag car and it has never been launched. The car was used for spirited weekend drives with the local GTR / car community. The car has spent 95% of its lifetime in CA and now resides in Dallas, TX (my residence). I've ultimately decided to move onto another platform hence the sale. It has been meticulously maintained. Regularly washed and professionally detailed. Always parked in a closed garage. All required maintenance was performed at the local Nissan dealership and oil was changed every 3,000 miles. I recently did the expensive 18,000 service on the car which includes a fresh oil change, front and rear diff fluid change, and tranny fluid change. The car came out with a clean bill of health. The motor and transmission are both stock - the P800 kit is designed to run on a stock tranny by limiting the torque. No stories here, clean car that is ready for the next owner. MODIFICATIONS IN DETAIL ($30,000+ in modifications alone) Switzer P800 Kit - SWITZER FUEL INJECTOR KIT - ELECTRONIC BOOST CONTROLLER - SWITZER MONSTER INTERCOOLER KIT - SWITZER UPGRADED TURBOCHARGERS - HIGH-PRESSURE WASTEGATE ACTUATORS - SWITZER P700 CALIBRATION FOR COBB AP - SWITZER MAF/INTAKE AND FILTER ASSEMBLY - SWITZER HIGH-FLOW TURBO INTAKES FOR SPI MAF - SWITZER DOWNPIPE/ TEST PIPE

Is your new-car warranty good at the race track?
Mon, Feb 27 2017We've all heard the horror stories. Your buddy knows a girl that was dating a guy whose best friend's brother once broke his brand-new, recently purchased performance car while making runs at a drag strip or laps at a track day, and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. True story? Urban legend? Complete crap? Yes, no, maybe. One thing's for sure: Automotive warranties have always come with caveats. In 1908, an ad in the Trenton Evening Times clearly stated: "All Ford Cars Guaranteed for One Year." Although it changed over time, by 1925 the Ford New Car Guarantee only covered 90 days on material and 30 days on labor, and it clearly stated that that there was "No guarantee whatever on Fan Belts, Glass, Bulbs, Wiring, Transmission, Bands, Hose Connections, Commutator Shells, Rollers, Spark Plugs or Gaskets." Whether or not Ol' Henry would pay to fix your Model T if you broke it shaving a tenth off your lap time at the local board track seems to be lost to history. We're guessing no. But what about today? Do new-car warranties in 2017 cover cars when they are driven on race tracks? We researched the warranties of 14 auto brands to find out, and the answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on the brand, in some cases the model, and whether or not your car is modified from stock. Acura has been out of the high-performance car game for a number of years, but jumps back into the party in 2017 with its hybrid-powered $173,000 NSX supercar. And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover "the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events." View 33 Photos So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. "If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question," he told us. "However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further." Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si. This became a common theme. Chevrolet actually started this practice with the fifth-generation Camaro on the high-performance ZL1 and Z/28 models.
Ghosn: 'We are getting there' on making Nissan Leaf profitable
Thu, Oct 2 2014After 19 months in a row of record sales in the US, the money picture for the Nissan Leaf is steadily improving. To date (well, until the end of September), Nissan has sold 63,944 Leaf EVs in the US and a total of around 140,000 globally. The company produces the electric vehicle in three countries: Japan, the UK and the US and has sold more standard passenger EVs than any other automaker. Add all that up and you get to an EV that is just about to be profitable. "We are getting into positive, which is good for this technology." – Carlos Ghosn At least, it is according to Carlos Ghosn, the CEO of Renault-Nissan, who spoke to reporters at that Paris Motor Show this week. "We are getting there [to Leaf profitability]," Ghosn told Automotive News. "Are we amortizing and depreciating everything we have spent? No. But if you look at margin of profit – the direct cost of the car and the revenue of the car – we are getting into positive, which is good for this technology." Automakers are notoriously closemouthed when it comes to sharing specifics about the higher cost of alternative vehicle technologies compared to standard ICE vehicles. Still, statements like this – as well as a knowledge about how long it took Toyota to make money from the Prius and overall industry amortization – show that Nissan could well be sitting pretty when it comes to keeping EVs around for the long term. Given some of the other news we've heard recently, it's got to be nice to have some stability.
Nissan recalling 2012-14 Frontier pickups over fire risk
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Nissan is recalling its Frontier pickup over fire concerns, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration bulletin. A total of 13,535 vehicles are being recalled, all from the 2012 to 2014 model years, built between November 28, 2012 and December 27, 2013.
The NHTSA report states that "in the affected vehicles, a circuit breaker may have been installed incorrectly causing the main wire harness connected to the circuit breaker to face outward, potentially contacting a metal bolt located on the A-pillar." If this happens, it's possible that "the bolt may wear though the wire harness covering, resulting in an electrical short," NHTSA states. In the event of an electric short, a fire may occur.
The official recall will begin in March, where Nissan dealers will inspect the circuit breaker for the correct orientation, and if necessary, repair the vehicles, free of charge. Scroll down for the full NHTSA bulletin.
