2007 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Le 4x4 6.1' Bed Loaded on 2040-cars
San Antonio, Texas, United States
The truck was driven by my father-in-law who sells real estate, so a lot of freeway time. He bought a new vehicle and I'm selling this one for him. I have all the paperwork needed. It is a clean title, single owner vehicle. He bought it brand new in March of 2007 when it had 323 miles on it. He shopped all over the state and country to find the vehicle that he wanted with all of the features he wanted.Seats have been covered until now (he always puts seat covers on his vehicles - keeps the seats brand new). Here are specs on the vehicle: Fuel Economy: City 14/Hwy 19/Comb 16 MPG Max Seating: 5 Doors: 4 Engine: V6, 4.0 Liter Drivetrain: 4WD Transmission: Automatic (w the Nissan Overdrive button) EPA Class: Small Pickup Trucks Body Style: Pickup Country of Origin: Japan Country of Assembly: United States ABS (4-Wheel disc) breaking system Air Conditioning Power Windows Power Door Locks Cruise Control Power Steering Tilt Wheel Controls on Steering Wheel AM/FM Stereo MP3 (Multi Disc) Premium Sound (Rockford Fosgate system - amp and sub too, factory installed) Dual Air Bags Sun Roof (Sliding) Utility track system in truck bed (with latch/tie down anchors and bed extender) Roof Rack Bed Liner Towing Pkg Premium Wheels Bridgestone Dueler tires w good tread This is a very nice vehicle that has been well maintained and you can feel the solid integrity as you drive it down the road. It was not used to tow things other than a small trailer a couple of times and was not driven my a lead foot (the owner is nearly 65 - the brakes were used more than the gas sometimes - :() Email with questions and to set up a time to view or test drive the vehicle. You will need to show proof of insurance to test drive. The vehicle books out between $15,200 - $15,600 in its condition (good to very good) and with all of the options it has in it; it is priced to sell quickly at $12,900. This would make a great oil field truck because it is a little more narrow and compact for getting through property and has four wheel drive with a full length bed. A very nice truck! |

NHTSA opens investigation into Nissan's handling of airbag recall
Mon, Mar 23 2015In March of 2014, Nissan recalled eight models among its Nissan and Infiniti brands, totaling more than one million vehicles, over faulty occupant classification system software controlling the passenger airbag. The company discovered a variety of factors that would interfere with the system's ability to detect an adult passenger in the shotgun seat, resulting in an illuminated warning on on the dashboard and the passenger airbag not deploying in an accident. Yet 124 complaints submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration since the recall allege that the dealer-installed fix hasn't actually fixed the problem; some consumers say the problem persists after multiple trips to the dealer. The Detroit News reports that NHTSA is opening an investigation into the matter to determine whether a new recall is needed. The occupant sensor has been a bugbear for Nissan over the past couple of years; a much smaller recall for the issue in 2013 covered five of the eight vehicles that were recalled in 2014, and that earlier recall also continued to generate complaints after the issue had supposedly been fixed. At the same time, the company learned that in two instances there was another twist, where the dashboard warning wasn't illuminated but the passenger airbag still didn't go off in an accident. Nissan isn't alone, though, with airbag recalls on a steep upswing across the industry even before the Takata debacle.
NHTSA urges owners of recalled Takata airbag vehicles to take immediate action
Mon, 20 Oct 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Department of Transportation are taking the unusual step of issuing a followup press release urging owners of certain recalled vehicles "to act immediately" to fix their cars and trucks. The problem in question concerns the repair campaigns for rupturing Takata airbag inflators issued in June and covers a long list of models from Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Infiniti, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
While NHSTA doesn't specifically say why the recall is vital in the new release, Toyota's own explanation in its newly announced renotification campaign earlier today sheds some new light on the topic. According to the Japanese automaker, in testing, Takata found a possible link between the rupturing airbag inflators and high humidity. NHTSA is advocating that all owners pursue repairs immediately if they haven't already done so already. This is especially crucial for those drivers especially in Florida, Puerto Rico, Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, Virgin Islands and Hawaii because of the humid conditions there.
We don't need to tell you how dangerous an inadvertent airbag deployment could be - even in a stationary vehicle - but adding to the Takata issue is fears that the deployment could lead to shrapnel being sprayed into the cabin.
Jay Leno checks out Nissan IDx Nismo, spiritual successor to classic Datsun 510
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Jay Leno may not be spending his night behind the Tonight Show desk anymore, but he's clearly not done rolling precious metal into his garage, intent on putting it through its paces after a thorough investigation. The latest machine to meet Jay on his home turf is the Nissan IDx Nismo Concept that we first saw at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year.
Leno already has love for the classic Datsun 510, which plays a cameo in the video that you'll see below, and he refers to the IDx as the spiritual successor to that car's ethos - driving fun in an affordable package. Fortunately for us, while the IDx is a showcar first and foremost, it is indeed driveable, and Leno, naturally, takes his turn behind the wheel.
