This is a 2006 Nissan Frontier LE Extended Cab V6 Automatic 2WD. This was purchased from an insurance company and has a salvage title. This is a local, one-owner truck that was in excellent condition before the minor accident. The interior of the vehicle is excellent and shows no wear. Mechanically, the vehicle is excellent. It runs and drives very well. Everything works, and there are no warning lights. The vehicle will get 25 MPG at 68 MPH. The damage is basically to the right side of the truck. There is a dent on the right front fender in front of the door. The right front hood corner is damaged. The right half-door is dented, and there is a dent in the right bedside behind the right rear wheel. There is a small dent below the left rear taillight. There is a hand-sized dent above the right rear window glass, and the right panel of glass is broken. I am having a single piece of glass put in the truck in the next few days. The vehicle has just completed a 2,000 mile trip to Colorado and back and is road ready. The alloy wheels are good and the tires have 20% tread. I have never driven one of these trucks for any distance before, but this is truly a good vehicle that will handle anything you can throw at it. It also has an aluminum frame bed cover and a bed liner. Fly in and drive home! Please call (314) 378-3109 with any questions.

Nissan recalling 841k vehicles overseas for steering wheel trouble
Sat, 25 May 2013A possible issue with a steering wheel bolt in the Nissan Micra (shown) and Cube from the 2002 to 2006 model years has Nissan recalling roughly 841,000 units on four continents, as well as Oceania and the Middle East. On the affected cars, the bolt may not have been tightened properly, which could lead to a loss of steering in a worst-case scenario. According to Reuters, there haven't been any reports of accidents or injuries due to the fault, however.
The Micras affected were built in the UK and Japan, the Cubes in Japan. Nissan has yet to say when the recall will begin, but when it does, owners can take their cars to dealers for repairs; the bolt with either be tightened or, if necessary, a new steering wheel installed.
Nissan alters all CVTs to act less like a stretched rubberband
Tue, 15 Jul 2014Among automotive enthusiasts, no one seems to hold a neutral opinion when it comes to continuously variable transmissions. CVTs are either praised for their ability to boost fuel economy or chided for their occasionally poor driving dynamics. Nissan is among the masters of these un-shifting gearboxes in the US, and it uses them in many vehicles in its lineup. However, for the 2015 model year, several models are getting a software update to make their CVTs a bit more like a conventional automatic.
To give drivers the option of feeling gearshifts while on the road, Nissan is adding its D-Step Shift Logic feature to the CVTs in multiple vehicles. Steve Powers, Nissan's senior manager of powertrain performance, told Autoblog the system forces the transmission to "hold a ratio and then shift" to simulate the way that a traditional automatic would. It's simply a change in software, but the company "can't do it to older CVTs," he said, because it would require changes to transmission logic, as well. According to Automotive News, the upgrade is coming to the 2015 Versa, Versa Note (pictured above), Sentra, V6-equipped Altima, Pathfinder and Quest. "We're rolling it out to all programs," said Powers.
Interestingly, buyer perception appears to be pushing the upgrade. John Curl, a Nissan North America regional product manager, told Automotive News that the decision to add the tech partially comes because some owners are bothered that the CVTs aren't changing gears. According to Powers, D-Step "avoids the rubber band feel," that many drivers didn't like. The different sensation of these transmissions seems like something consumers would notice during the test drive, or that the salesperson would inform them about. The same issue cropped up last year when the company was facing customer satisfaction problems among new buyers customers' unfamiliarity with the gearboxes.
2013 Nissan Pathfinder: July-September 2013

This Nissan is the most in-demand long-term vehicle we've ever had.
They may not readily fall into the sweet spot of driving enthusiasts, but our year-long test of this Nissan is proving to be an object lesson in why crossovers are so popular - especially large ones like our three-row Pathfinder. In fact, it's been so busy that it's hardly been at a standstill long enough to pen an update, which is why this one is late. Simply put, this Nissan is the most in-demand long-term vehicle we've ever had, racking up more miles and more long-distance trips than any LT vehicle in the Autoblog stable.
