Ok this is the story........

This was my sister's truck.

My sister leased this truck in December of 2005 out of Los Angeles, California.....title actually says Hollywood California.....

When her lease was up, she bought the truck.....she loves this truck....she actually is sick about selling it and doesn't even want me to talk about it...

I had the same truck except it was a 2001.....she loved that truck so much that she went and got the same truck except is was a 2005.

She and her friends would go snowboarding in the mountains...Bear Mountain I believe it is called. It is for that reason she added the hard cover, lockabletonneau cover....they could lock their snowboards in there....

My sister is 100 lbs.....the front seat is like it has never been sat in.....

The reason the truck has 150,000 miles on it is because she lived in California. To drive a hundred miles a day in that city is nothing.....anyone who has experience in California knows that everything is 40 miles away...

She also worked for Universal Studios and in the movie business they take off the last two weeks of the year....

She and her boyfriend.....now husband would get in the car every Christmas break and drive cross country to Columbus, Ohio for the holidays and then drive back to LA to go back to work.

In 2011 she was accepted to Ohio State for graduate school so she moved back to Columbus to live with my parents while she finished school. I drove the truck from LA to Columbus while her and her husband drove the moving truck......it drove 80 miles an hour across the country driving with my pinky finger......it is as smooth as they get....

While the car was in Columbus it was parked in my parents garage when it was not in use.....

My point here is that this truck lived in California all of its life until 2011 when it went to Ohio and was garaged.....when you look at the pictures you will see.....it is MINT......no salt....no damages from the harsh Ohio weather.....no rust whatsoever.......it is a California car...

You will not find a car in this shape in Ohio unless you are buying it Brand New......

The truck is immaculate and in Perfect Running Condition....

Ok....so that is the back story......here is the story of the service that has been done...

It has been kept in perfect running condition its whole life....here is the service that has been done...

The 2003,2004,2005 Nissan Fronteirs, Xterras, and Pathfinders all had the same automatic transmissions and that being said.....all the same transmission problem...

The automatic transmission in this truck is cooled by the radiator.....there was a flaw in the system where basically a seal would give way and the transmission fluid and the anti-freeze would mix and slowly kill the transmission....

My understanding was that Nissan tried to sweep this under the rug as much as possible because it was usually only happening well after 100,000 miles......they fixed the design flaw in the 2006 and newer models.....

Well at 140,000 my sister's transmission went and that is how we found out about this situation.....

My sister being a student right now didn't have the money to fix it and decided to lease a cheap car..

I knew what kind of shape this truck was in and that it was worth fixing.....so I bought it from her....I decided to put the money into to make it perfect again simply because it was in such pristine condition.

This is what I did.....

I had the truck towed by flatbed to Ben at Enhanced Transmissions in Cleveland.....Ben is the best in the city.....he is a race car mechanic that specializes in transmissions.....he was well aware of the problem Nissan had with these model years and had rebuilt many of these transmissions....

He completely rebuilt the transmission and installed the updates that Nissan made to correct the problem....so the transmission is completely rebuilt and works flawlessly......he also said he would transfer the warranty as long as he is the only one who works on the truck if there are ever any problems for 25,000 miles or two years...

So, it has a brand new transmission.....

Then, the gas gauge was not working.....the sensor was on the fuel pump....I could have just fixed that and called it a day, but while we were in there I figured the fuel pump is original...we might as well replace it...so we did

So...it has a brand new fuel pump....

Next, the engine light was on......can't pass the AIM test in Cleveland with that right?......So, the diagnostic tests showed it had bad catalytic converters.....so I replaced them....they are brand new....no engine light now....

So, it has brand new catalytic converters.....

Next, the CD player was broken......so I pulled the whole stereo......replaced it with a brand new Pioneer from Best Buy.....Geek Squad installed........it has blue-tooth so that you can answer your phone through the stereo and play songs from your phone......it also has a remote control for tailgating...and a 3.5 mm jack so that you can plug it directly into your phone....it is brand new.....about a week old....

So, it has a brand new stereo, with blue-tooth....it is mint...

Tires? They are brand new as you will see in the pictures.....my sister bought them less than 6 months ago...

Ok....what about the timing chain? It was replaced at 95,000 miles......she was paranoid and decided to have it done even though she was having no problems.......her mechanic replaced it, but said that once he got in there, there was nothing wrong with it....but it has been done so you can cross that one off your list...

So, timing chain was done recently.....

How is the interior? Like no one has really ever sat in it.....look at the pictures....it is beautiful....

Ok so how is the motor? Well it is the 270 horse power V-6, has had regular oil changes and quite frankly runs like a bat out of hell......

I drove it home the other day from the car wash and I looked down and had no idea that I was going 90 miles an hour....it is as smooth as my Cadillac.....

It is also tough not to peel out from stop lights because it simply has so much power......270 horses is a lot of motor for that truck.....it is FAST...

Brakes? Work perfectly.....

4 wheel drive? Works perfectly.....

Tow hitch......Has it....you will see it in the pictures.....

Ok, so I did all the updates and work on this very, very clean truck.....and I am thinking about keeping it to be honest.....but if I am going to part with it....

I want $14,500....I am pretty firm on this price with all I have listed above.....low ballers, don't waste your time....I will keep it...

You simply will not find this truck in Cleveland unless you buy it brand new.....and that will cost you around $35,000 out the door....

It has never towed anything......never hauled a load of dirt or rocks......never plowed snow......it has had a pretty easy life...

Whoever gets this truck is going to be very happy and need to do absolutely nothing to this truck.....it is in Perfect Running Condition....leaks Nothing......No Dash Lights Are On....ITS IS MINT!

Also e-mail me with any questions and I will get back to you promptly......

Thank you for your time.

Nissan didn't have much say in merger talks, but it had what FCA wanted

Fri, Jun 7 2019

TOKYO — Nissan wasn't consulted on the proposed merger between its alliance partner Renault and Fiat Chrysler, but the Japanese automaker's reluctance to go along may have helped bring about the surprise collapse of the talks. While Nissan Motor Co. had a weaker bargaining position from the start, with its financial performance crumbling after the arrest last year of its star executive Carlos Ghosn, it still had as its crown jewel the technology of electric vehicles and hybrids that Fiat Chrysler wanted. The board of Renault, meeting Thursday, didn't get as far as voting on the proposal, announced last week, which would have created the world's third biggest automaker, trailing only Volkswagen AG of Germany and Japan's Toyota Motor Corp. When the French government, Renault's top shareholder with a 15% stake, asked for more time to convince Nissan, Fiat Chrysler Chairman John Elkann abruptly withdrew the offer. Although analysts say reviving the talks isn't out of the question, they say trust among the players appears to have been broken. "The other companies made the mistake of underestimating Nissan's determination to say, 'No,' " said Katsuya Takeuchi, senior analyst at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities in Tokyo. The Note, an electric car with a small gas engine to charge its battery, was Japan's No. 1 selling car, the first time in 50 years that a Nissan beat Toyota and Honda. Renault and Fiat Chrysler highlighted possible synergies that come from sharing parts and research costs as the benefits of the merger. But what Fiat Chrysler lacks and really wanted was what's called in the industry "electrification technology," Takeuchi said. With emissions regulations getting stricter around the world, having such technology is crucial. Yokohama-based Nissan makes the world's best-selling electric car Leaf. Its Note, an electric car equipped with a small gas engine to charge its battery, was Japan's No. 1 selling car for the fiscal year through March, the first time in 50 years that a Nissan model beat Toyota and Honda Motor Co. for that title. Nissan is also a leader in autonomous-driving technology, another area all the automakers are trying to innovate. "Although Nissan had no say, its cautionary stance on the merger ended up being very meaningful," Takeuchi said.

This is what happens when you drive your Nissan Leaf beyond empty

Thu, Jul 24 2014

If you see an AAA truck bringing someone a can of extra gas, it's rarely a big deal, but when an EV driver runs out of charge, people pay attention. Whether its a writer for The New York Times or hardcore Tesla fans, people are curious about this newfangled technology and the things that could go wrong. "I don't know what the opposite of range anxiety is. Range annoyance?" – Robert Llewellyn Well, few people have more fun with their EV than Robert Llewellyn, the actor (best known for Red Dwarf) and star of his own pro-EV show Fully Charged. And he's good at educating people on the EVs as well. In the latest episode, he tries something in his first-gen Leaf that he's never done before: drive until the battery is completely empty. When the car just keeps on going well beyond the official range estimate, Llewellyn gets frustrated. "I don't know what the opposite of range anxiety is," he says. "Range annoyance?" After 91 miles, he finally comes to a stop. Watch the video below. In the end, all Llewellyn needed to do to get up and running again was to get towed home and plug in. A few hours later, he was ready to go, this time with his range estimate at 93 miles. Compare that with the dangers to your gas engine if you run out of gas and you might wonder why so many people worry about an EVs range. This content is hosted by a third party. Nissan testing experimental dealer with no desks or offices

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

Nissan thinks it has found a better way to sell cars, and it involves stripping showrooms of everything but the cars and sales team. The brand calls the experiment the Nissan New Retail Concept, and it might get tested in the US in a few years.
The concept is relatively simple. Showrooms ditch offices, reception counters, cubicles and desks. Instead salespeople walk around inside and outside the dealer with mobile devices to assist customers and even complete sales. Associates are trained to take immediate responsibility for each visitor they encounter. For example, if owners comes inside with a problem with their vehicle, the employee escorts them to the service department and introduces them.
A dealer in London has been testing the new layout for the last nine months, and so far it reports better customer satisfaction, loyalty and most importantly higher sales. Nissan next plans to launch test stores in Moscow and Stuttgart. Then it will broaden out to more of Western Europe and finally will be tested in the Japan, the US and the Middle East, according to Automotive News.
