2013 Nissan Altima 2 Door S Coupe Only 8,742 Miles Black, Factory Warranty on 2040-cars
Lebanon, Missouri, United States
You are looking at a 2013 Nissan Altima S 2 door coupe WITH FACTORY WARRANTY, which is 36,000 miles or 5 years and a 60,000 powertrain warranty. If you look at the car fax on this car it does show it has been in an accident but it wasn't bad enough to salvage the car. The car was repaired before I bought it so I'm not sure of the damage but the car does have a CLEAR TITLE and it's not salvage so the car does still have factory warranty. I'm selling this car for two reasons. #1. I decided I don't want the payment (yes I have a loan on this car). #2. My wife is in a wheel chair and the car has a smaller trunk. Her chair actually fits in the trunk but I have to break down her chair to get it in the trunk so that means when it rains, I stand there breaking down her chair... I bought the car because it's a sporty car, not for the trunk space... Now I'm re-thinking that....
Flaws - The car has the normal rock chips from being driven, it also has a couple of scratches on one of the wheels which I assume was from the wreck it was in (I took Pictures of it). It also has a small chip on the drivers side door a little smaller than a pencil eraser but it has been touched up (I took a picture of that also). The driver side Mirror has a small crack in the plastic (I took a picture of that too). I have the original window sticker and last year the window sticker says the car was $29,570.00. The car runs and drives like a brand new car (it practically is). This will make someone a very nice car that should last a LONG time. Please don't hesitate to call me with any questions at 417-664-3213. OPTIONS The car is equipped with 8 way power driver seat with lumbar support, automatic on/off headlights, Sun Visors w/illumanated Vanity Mirrors & extension, Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel, Steering Wheel-Mounted Audio Controls, Passenger Auto Up/Down Window, Power Windows, Power Moon Roof, Manual Folding Outside Mirrors w/Turn Indicators, SiriusXM Satellite Radio (currently no subscription), BOSE Premium Audio System w/9 Speakers in 7 locations, USB Connection Port w/Ipod Connectivity, 4.3 Display & Rearview Monitor Back Up Camera, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System, Dual Zone Auto Temperature Control (ATC), Fog Lights. IIHS gives good ratings to 4 of 8 midsize pickups in crash test
Wed, Sep 6 2017Versions of the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon Crew Cab earned top ratings in a new crash test of midsize pickup trucks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, while two versions of the Nissan Frontier earned marginal ratings. But the organization gave poor marks to all eight pickups tested for their dim headlights. Overall, four of the eight pickups evaluated earned good ratings for protecting occupants in all five crash test categories — the Tacoma double cab along with crew cab versions of the Colorado, Canyon and Tacoma. But the poor headlights and lack of an automatic emergency braking system blocked any of the pickups from qualifying for the IIHS's Top Safety Pick awards. The study looked at two pickup body styles using 2017 models: crew cabs, which have four full doors and two full rows of seating, and extended cabs, which have two full front doors, two smaller rear doors and compact second-row seats. It subjected each to five tests, and it evaluated the performance of front crash prevention systems and headlights. The Toyota Tacoma crew cab was the only pickup in that class that earned a good rating for structure in the small overlap test, which replicates what happens when a vehicle clips a tree, pole or another vehicle that has crossed the center line. The model's Access Cab extended-cab version was rated similarly, though its structure was rated acceptable. "This group of small pickups performed better in the small overlap front test than many of their larger pickup cousins," says David Zuby, the Institute's executive vice president and chief research officer. "The exception was the Nissan Frontier, which hasn't had a structural redesign since the 2005 model year." The extended-cab versions of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon earned acceptable ratings, while both the Nissan Frontier king-cab and crew-cab models were rated marginal. Toyota says its 2018 Tacoma will feature upgraded headlights and a standard autobraking system that can detect pedestrians. "Headlights are basic but vital safety equipment. Drivers shouldn't have to give up the ability to see the road at night when they choose a small pickup," Zuby said. Bhutan asks Nissan, Mitsubishi for help with massive EV-only plan
Mon, Jul 7 2014Originally, the somewhat modest plan was to introduce 2,000 electric vehicles to the capital of Bhutan. Then things got bigger when Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn paid the country a visit and the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, said his country, "will commit to a program to achieve zero emissions as a nation by a certain target date." Now we're approaching "holy huge" territory. Last week, Tobgay visited Japan to ask Nissan and Mitsubishi for help in possibly replacing every combustion vehicle with an all-electric option. "Gasoline is expensive and unfriendly to the environment." – Bhutan's Prime Minister At the very least, Bhutan wants to make more eco-friendly vehicles available. Tobgay told AsiaNews that, "Gasoline is expensive and unfriendly to the environment. Sustainable transportation will bring citizens happiness," which is something that a country that measures its Gross National Happiness is eager to track. Switching to electric vehicles makes complete sense in Bhutan, since the mountainous Asian nation produces more renewable hydro-electricity than it can use. Ninety-five percent of the zero-emission energy is exported to India, and Bhutan uses the profits to buy fuel from India to then power its vehicles. You can probably figure out for yourself how there's a simpler way to do this. News Source: AsiaNews.it Green Mitsubishi Nissan Green Culture Electric
Nissan settles with FTC over misleading dune buggy ad [w/videos]
Fri, 24 Jan 2014A couple years ago, Nissan created a series of commercials for its compact Frontier pickup showing the truck performing outlandish stunts such as snowboarding, saving a passenger airplane from a crash landing and climbing a steep sand dune to help a stranded dune buggy. As crazy as the first two commercials were, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took issue with the latter, titled Hill Climb, with the agency considering it to be a misleading commercial since both vehicles required a cable to reach the top of the steep dune.
As such, Ad Age is reporting that Nissan - and its ad agency TBWA Worldwide - has settled with the FTC over the ad despite the fact that it features a disclaimer stating: "Fictionalization. Do not attempt." Nissan did not have to pay out any money in the settlement, but it is prohibited "from using potentially misleading demonstrations in future advertisements for pickups." In addition to the offending commercial, posted below, we've included some of the other related videos from the same Frontier campaign.
