Dresden, Tennessee, United States
I am being honest about this car and I am not the wheeler dealer type, ask me anything you want about this and I will tell the truth okay. For sale 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 automatic with 189,789 highway miles, Cars has been family owned since we bought it from Nissan plant a (FLEET) car in Tennessee. I eventually put the car in my sons name only when he became old enough, has a clean Car-fax, I am a hot rod car and motorcycle builder since 1977, so what happen the car is, my son hit a deer on his way to work, and then he just bought a new car and gave this car back me, that I had bought him for a high school graduation present 5 years ago, to do what every I wanted with it, but I have always did that maintenance on the car on schedule myself on time since we got it. So all this work I've done lately, is all after he hit the deer, so before I put the $1,800 dollars into fixing car, I check everything out 100% first, so I did cylinder compression check all within factory specs 5% 158 psi all 4 cylinders then replace the old spark plugs with new platinum ones as shown in pictures, always use mobile one full synthetic motor oil, no engine lights on and it runs like a scalded dog. This motor is solid as a rock. I did a routine trans service, I just change oil and filter Mobil 1 full synthetic as always along with air filter, air blows ice cold, everything works right, tires are good, no shake,it is sheet metal damage only, so you buy whats called a front clip. thats bumper, lights. fenders, hood, passenger, door. the frame was not hurt at all, car drives down the road straight as an arrow, no air bags deployed ever, does have rock clip in wind shield but has been repaired, trunk lid from bike rack mounted on car, good brakes, stereos sounds right CD player works trip gage gas mileage computer all good, gas mileage gauge says 27 MPG everything works correct I don't have the time to fix it right now, because I am training for full IRONMAN CHATTANOOGA on Sept 28 2014, I can text videos and more pictures by cell phone 731-819-9424 ps Facebook David Hatler i'm the David dancing on the podium at the triathlon in Nashville. so I can give you the name and phone number of a good local body man that would do the job complete for $1800 out the door. Kelly bluebook says $4500 to $6500 good luck and happy bidding thanks Coach David Hatler for Track & Field / Cross Country at Dresden School in North west Tennessee |

These are 2014's best-selling cars and trucks
Tue, Jan 6 2015Now that 2014 is no more than a set of numbers on spreadsheets, at last, the grist mill gets its first real load to chew on. The number one selling vehicle in America last year was the Ford F-Series, a fact that should surprise you only if your family name is Van Winkle and your naps tend to last 38 years, which is how long the Ford pickup has ruled our buying landscape. Even though series sales were down 1.3 percent, it still racked up 753,851 units. That's 2,065.3 sales per day, every day, all year. The Chevrolet Silverado, up 10.3 percent for the year, was still a daylight second at 529,755 units. The cab-and-bed love continued into third place with the Ram 1500-3500 trucks, gaining 23.6-percent year-on-year to clock 439,789 units. The robust turnout at The Bighorn and Jeep helped Fiat-Chrysler increase its sales by 16 percent, past the two-million mark. Our number one car? The Toyota Camry, staying in first place with a 4.9-percent sales boost to 428,606 sales, trailed again by the Honda Accord at number five with 388,374 sales. Accord sales rose six percent, and if it's any consolation to Honda for coming in second - not that it needs one - it is the only manufacturer to have three vehicles in the top ten. The rest of the list: the Nissan Altima with 335,644 sales (+4.7%), the Honda CR-V with 355,019 (+10.2%), the Toyota Corolla/Matrix combo with 339,498 (+5.9%), the Honda Civic with 325,981 (-3.1%), and the Ford Fusion with 306,860 sales (+2.9%). Total sales for the year were up six percent to 16.5 million vehicles, a volume not seen since 2006, aided by a strong December that was up by 11 percent year-on-year. Ford was the top selling brand overall but sales didn't really budge from 2013, while Subaru rocketed up 21 percent to finish with 513,693 sales. At the precious end, BMW, Audi, Porsche and Land Rover all had record years, and Kelley Blue Book thinks we could be looking at 17 million sales for the next two or three years. Looks like it's time to start making hay again... Nissan Leaf battery cells put through torture test, live to charge again
Sun, Mar 2 2014One minor chink in the armor of the Tesla Model S is that a small number have caught fire, once their battery packs were penetrated. Nissan Leaf drivers, however, might just be able to weather such an event without an ensuing CarBQ. Our evidence for such a claim? A video that has surfaced of cells from a Leaf pack undergoing a battery of torture tests (pun somewhat-ashamedly intended). Shared by folks at the Hybrid Auto Center in Las Vegas – who offer for sale, among other things, used Leaf lithium battery modules – the footage shows salvaged cells being brutally assaulted with a screwdriver, and later, a propane torch. Granted, these tests are not the same thing as flinging a piece of metal into a working pack at 70 miles per hour, but they do claim to show that a puncture does not always equal a fire. Oh, and don't try this at home. When pierced through by the flat head tool, there is no explosion or eruption of flame. Instead, a rather modest wisp of smoke shyly emerges as the electrolyte next to the shorted area of the fully-charged foil pouch reacts with the influx of oxygen. Again and again, the blade descends, until the cell is riddled with holes. No fire. Amazingly, when connected with a voltmeter afterward there are still plenty of signs of life, and when it is charged and discharged (off-camera), it reportedly suffers only a slight loss of charge capacity. The video goes on to show another cell attacked with open flame with similar results. While the demonstration is, perhaps, somewhat crude, the message it sends is loud and clear: lithium batteries can be safe and rather robust, despite some freak accidents. 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo to pack 595 hp, lap N"urburgring in 7:08
Mon, 18 Nov 2013With two major auto shows taking place this week on different sides of the globe, the amount of news being posted across the internet is reaching a fever pitch. Naturally, things happen, trigger fingers get itchy and stories get leaked, which is apparently how we came across this spate of premature pictures and information on the eagerly anticipated Nissan GT-R Nismo.
Packing 595 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque from its twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter V6, the Nismo-fied GT-R should be a serious kick in the pants when run hard. The new power is thanks to a number of donor parts from the GT-R Nismo GT3 racecar, bits that include larger turbochargers, revised intake and exhaust systems and new ignition timing.
Thanks to the engine enhancements, and, we imagine, a few other tweaks to the chassis, brakes and aerodynamics that have yet to be published, the GT-R Nismo is said to blitz the Nürburgring in just 7:08, a mere 11 seconds slower than the $845,000 Porsche 918 Spyder. For a car that is rumored to cost well under a quarter of the price, that performance is just immense.
