The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Exterior is in average shape with some scratches, dings, dents and rust. Passenger front quarter panel has a large dent in it and the turn signal light has been dislodged from its housing but still functions. There is a fair amount of rust above the rear drivers side wheel well as well as underneath the vehicle. The car needs to be jump started to run but once its going the engine runs fine. There is a problem with the steering that I never had looked at by a mechanic but it happened when I hit a curb while sliding on ice. Its currently not safe to drive on public roads but can be driven from point A to B on a private street, yard, on to a tow truck, a work lift, etc. The interior is in excellent shape for the age of the car. Carpets are in good shape as the floor mats have always been in place. Leather is in excellent shape as well. No major tears or stains throughout the interior. Still has the original spare tire and jack which is located in the trunk of the car. Spare is a donut."

Used 1999 Nissan Altima GLE for sale. I am the second owner of this car as I bought it from my mother in 2008. She bought it brand new from the local dealership. Car had 162,903 miles on it when I bought it in 2008 and now has 181,661 so it wasn't driven much in the past 6 years. The majority of the first 162,903 miles were highway miles and the remaining miles are mostly city miles.

Exterior is in average shape for a car of this age. There are some dings, dents, scratches and rust. There is a large dent in the passenger side quarter panel and the turn signal light on the same side has been slightly dislodged from its housing but still functions. There is also some rust over the rear drivers side wheel well, both front doors as well as underneath the vehicle.

I hit a curb this winter after spinning out on the ice and there is now some sort of a problem with the steering. Not the steering wheel but the actual front axel of the vehicle. I have not had it looked at by a mechanic since so I don't know the seriousness of the problem. It's safe to say that this vehicle is not safe to drive on public roads in its current condition because of the steering issue. It could be something minor like a blown tire rod or ball joint but it could also be something more serious.

The interior of the vehicle is in excellent shape. Some minor smudges and stains but I'm sure they could be easily cleaned if you took the time to do so. The leather is in great shape and there is only one minor tear in the arm rest located between the back seats. The fan for the heat/AC/vents has 4 speeds and currently only the level 4 speed works.

Engine is in great shape and I have kept all of the service records from the time I've owned the vehicle. Oil changed every 3,000 miles for the life of the car. It currently needs a jump start in order to get it running but the battery is only 3 years old. It could be easily charged if you could drive the vehicle for any amount of time.

Front tires are only a year old and the rear tires are only 3 years old. Very low mileage on the tires. You will not need to replace them for some time.

You would need to tow the vehicle from its current location which is Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

Car is currently not inspected.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions at all or if you'd like me to email you pictures of the interior.

YouTuber TJ Smith is your singing Lyft driver in Nissan Sentra ad

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

Perhaps you've seen Nissan's latest commercial, promoting the Sentra. It's a fairly simple little spot, showing the compact's driver blaring Billy Idol's Mony Mony, singing along and encouraging other motorists to join in.
We'd have been fine had it been left at that. It's a simple commercial that shows the car with a catchy tune and smiling people. Nissan couldn't leave well enough alone, though, and has come back with this. Starring TJ Smith - the driver from the original ad and an apparent YouTube celebrity famous for the kind of thing shown in the original commercial - the new ad expands on the old, with more people, and more Mony Mony. This time round, Smith is serving as a driver for the Lyft service, who just happens to break into song with his fares in the car.
Scroll down for the full video. If you've no idea what we're talking about, we've also included the original commercial.

Nissan New Micra being considered for Canadian market

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

A new story from AutoGuide is triggering new speculation that Nissan may be about to bring its New Micra to North America. According to a dealer-based source, Nissan is showing off the overseas hatchback at Canadian dealer meetings along with the redesigned 2014 Rogue. The report indicates that the car is expected to go on sale sometime mid next year. Autoblog has learned that, while the New Micra is indeed under study for the Canadian market, it is not being considered for US sales. Our well-placed source tells us that bringing the New Micra to US dealers "just wouldn't make sense."
Bringing the New Micra to US dealers "just wouldn't make sense."
Reading between the lines a bit, that's because Nissan already has a robust small car lineup spearheaded by the Versa sedan and new Versa Note hatchback, along with the compact Sentra. And while both Versa models are generously sized for the subcompact classes they compete in, their low entry price (the sedan starts under $12k) means that pricing the smaller Micra underneath it would be difficult. Given its historically significantly higher fuel prices (not to mention higher vehicle prices and a penchant for small cars), Canada seems like a much more hospitable market for the Micra.

Nismo mashes it up with Sentra 370Z and Altima GT-R

Mon, 11 Aug 2014

Nismo was a tuning division once content (or required) to restrict itself to just one or two models at a time, but these days Nissan is taking the gloves off and allowing its motorsport department to tune just about everything's it's got.
Now in its thirtieth year, Nismo tunes versions of the GT-R, 370Z, Juke and Versa Note, and will soon be working its magic on the Sentra and European-market Qashqai and Pulsar. And that's not even taking into account its considerable racing programs. At this rate, Nismo is going to run out of vehicles to tune pretty quickly, so what has it done? Invent new ones!
No, we're afraid that Nissan is not letting its Nismo division produce its own stand-alone product, but it has released two sets of amusing renderings combining two vehicles into one. One depicts a GT-R crossed with a Teana sedan (better known in these parts at the Altima), while the other crosses a Sentra with a 370Z.
