Thanks for viewing this very rare 40th Anniversary Edition Nissan 370z. Only 1,000 of the 40th Anniversary were
built, so this is a very unique sports car that you probably won't see another of in your city.

Exclusives for 40th Anniversary Edition (you won't see these on other Z's):

*Graphite Metal exterior paint color.
*Graphite Metal sport edition wheels to match the body.
*Red seats and red door panel inserts; seatback embroidered w/ "40th Anniversary."
*Red brake calipers
*Engine Strut Tower/Brace 40th Anniversary plaque.
*Interior and exterior 40th Anniversary badging.
*40th Anniversary Car Cover (included, not pictured).
*40th Anniversary floormats

This Z includes the Sport Package. Highlights are:

*19" Rays super lightweight forged alloy wheels.

*Front chin spoiler, rear spoiler.

Other important features:

*Bose premium audio, 8 speakers including subwoofers (all stock).
*Bluetooth hands free calling and voice control.
*Rear view mirror - auto dimming, home link garage door control.
*4-way power seats.
*Heated bucket seats
*Steering wheel controls: Cruise, radio source and volume, phone/voice controls.
*Seats: Leather & Suede in 40th Anniversary Red.
*6-disc CD changer, XM satellite radio.

This Z has always had premium gasoline and synthetic oil, as recommended by Nissan. The front brakes are only 1
month old and tires are in good condition. The inside, outside and engine compartment were all professionally
detailed July 20th, including a wax. The entire vehicle is stock; no engine or exhaust modifications have been done
and all paint is factory.

As seen in one of the pictures, a Passport radar detector is mounted from the mirror. While the detector itself is
not included with the sale, the mount will be left attached to the mirror for in possible interest for the next
owner. Also, the power is also provided at the mirror mount area and a control wire is ran through the trim of the
vehicle (unseen) and discreetly placed between the seat heaters buttons (as seen in another picture). This mount,
power wire and control wiring/buttons will all be left as-is. The install is very clean and a great benefit to an
Escort Passport owner.

Also included in the sale is a window mounted dash cam, which is behind the rear view camera. Again, the install is
very clean and cannot be seen from either the driver or passenger. No power wires can be seen either. If you choose
to watch any video recorded, just remove the SD card. Video recorded is also tracked by GPS and displays location
on a map while watching video.

Mitsubishi cheated on Japanese fuel economy test since 1991

Tue, Apr 26 2016

Mitsubishi now says that its cheating on Japanese fuel economy tests stretches as far back as 1991. The automaker has hired an independent panel of investigators to get to the bottom of what happened, and the company will give them three months to prepare a report about the deception. Mitsubishi's cheat involves how the company calculated driving resistance to determine fuel economy. In 1991, Japan's Road Transport Vehicle Act established a coasting test to establish the driving resistance, but Mitsubishi's engineers used their own "high-speed coasting test," according to its statement. In 2007, the company decided to only use the country's mandated evaluation, but the employees kept utilizing the high-speed test in the field. In the most recent scandal, workers selected low values for driving resistance from the results, which made the fuel economy look better. Mitsubishi's presented these details in a report to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism. "We are currently investigating the reasoning behind each of the decisions," the company said in a statement. It also hired three former prosecutors to figure out why this happened for so long. At this time, Mitsubishi only confirms the incorrect figures for some of the company's minicars, but this investigation could discover more transgressions. This fiasco started when Nissan discovered fuel economy discrepancies in some of its Mitsubishi-made tiny kei-class cars in Japan. Mitsubishi came clean and admitted the problem affected about 625,000 vehicles in the country. Japanese media have alleged more vehicles have incorrect mileage, including the Outlander. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the US has also requested data from the Japanese automaker to confirm similar deceptions didn't happen for vehicles here. Nissan's Taxi of Tomorrow shut down by NYC courts [UPDATE]

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

Justice Schlomo Hagler may have just put a big dent in Nissan's plans to rule New York City's taxi fleets and outgoing Mayor Mike Bloomberg's vision of a unified fleet of yellow cabs.
As an October 28 deadline approached that would see all current, non-hybrid taxis replaced over by the Nissan NV200 over a three-to-five-year span, the legal battle that's enveloped the Taxi of Tomorrow program from the start has intensified. In a lawsuit, the Greater New York Taxi Association claims New York's Taxi and Limousine Commission overstepped its powers in mandating that taxi fleets are refitted with the NV200, according to the New York Daily News. This isn't the first time the courts have sided with the cabbies in the ToT debate.
Justice Hagler agreed with the cabbies, striking down the Taxi of Tomorrow purchasing requirements, and saying, "Simply stated, the power to contract and compel medallion owners to purchase the Nissan NV200 from Nissan for ten years does not exist in the City Charter," according to The Wall Street Journal.

Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings

Mon, May 26 2014

The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year.
