2003 Nissan 350z Performance 6spd Manual 2-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Auburn, New York, United States
This is one of the cleanest Z sports car you'll find for sale anywhere. This 2003 Nissan 350Z is bone stock and unmolested. It was always adult owned and garaged. It's never seen winter and doesn't have a lick of rust. Your friends and family will be jealous to see you in this ride :) Everything is a 9/10 if not 10/10.....with one exception. The transmission has worn out syncros in third gear. I brought it to a Nissan dealer and had this diagnosed recently. This makes the transmission grind when going into third gear if you shift fast. Shift slow in that gear and it works fine. The body, interior, engine, suspension, etc are in excellent condition. I have lowered the price because of this. I'm flexible to work with you to make sure you get a good deal and a good working car. This car has almost 300 HP stock and can easily be built up to 400 to 500HP. OR keep it purely original as a show car or Sunday driver. It drives and handles like a true super-sports car. Nissan made the suspension and steering stiff and ultra responsive. There is no body roll or delay when making quick maneuvers. I've been a Nissan sports car owner for 15 years. I've owned and driven almost all the Zs in the Nissan Z line up. And this 350Z is by far the best Nissan has made. Factory OEM Options: HID Headlights, Alarm System Remote Entry, 6 Speaker Stereo W/ CD Player Power windows, locks & mirrors Traction control (can be turned off to spin tires) Airbags, anti-lock brakes, garage door opener Cruise control, tilt wheel, MPG gauge 3.5 liter V6, 6 speed manual, rear wheel drive Aluminum Alloy Rims Aluminum Hood & suspension components, rear window wiper and washer fluid squirter And much more! It has a recent inspection & oil change from April. The tires are new BF Goodrich G Force Sports with about 2kmi driven on them. I have a lot of records for it and paperwork that came from the dealer when originally purchased. It has the original floor mats and cargo area net. the driver's side floor mat has a small hole work through where the gas pedal foot heel goes. Besides that, they look great. I think it's the performance trim, but I'm not sure. I know it has a LSD. I hate to sell this Z, but I need the money! Test drives are available for serious buyers in Auburn NY, 13021. Offers made without seeing the car in person may not be taken seriously. Trades: I want to sell this for cash, but I might consider partial trade for a cheaper Nissan car or sport bike. A couple quick notes on buying any car. 1. Drive the car before making an offer; it shows you're serious and lets you know what you're buying. 2. Apply for a loan (if you need it) before making an offer. 3. Have a mechanic of your choice look it over; it's cheep insurance. 4. Ask lots of questions. 5. Buy something super fast and enjoy the summer weather! Message, call or text Josh at (Nine-Four-Nine) 280-6373. Thanks for looking :-) Please contact me before bidding/buying. Lesser cars include the following :-) 300zx, 280zx, 280z, 260z, 240z, 240sx, 200sx, rx7, rx8, 370z, (overpriced and performs the same, some say less well) datsun |

Nissan recalling 2012-14 Frontier pickups over fire risk
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Nissan is recalling its Frontier pickup over fire concerns, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration bulletin. A total of 13,535 vehicles are being recalled, all from the 2012 to 2014 model years, built between November 28, 2012 and December 27, 2013.
The NHTSA report states that "in the affected vehicles, a circuit breaker may have been installed incorrectly causing the main wire harness connected to the circuit breaker to face outward, potentially contacting a metal bolt located on the A-pillar." If this happens, it's possible that "the bolt may wear though the wire harness covering, resulting in an electrical short," NHTSA states. In the event of an electric short, a fire may occur.
The official recall will begin in March, where Nissan dealers will inspect the circuit breaker for the correct orientation, and if necessary, repair the vehicles, free of charge. Scroll down for the full NHTSA bulletin.
Asian automakers still reluctant to use more aluminum
Tue, Jun 24 2014There's a logical progression of technology in the auto industry. We've seen it with things like carbon-ceramic brakes, which use to be the sole domain of six-figure sports cars, where they often cost as much as an entry level Toyota Corolla. Now, you can get them on a BMW M3 (they're still pricey, at $8,150). Who knows, maybe in the next four a five years, they'll be available on something like a muscle car or hot hatchback. Aluminum has had a similar progression, although it's further along, moving from the realm of Audi and Jaguar luxury sedans to Ford's most important product, the F-150. With the stuff set to arrive in such a big way on the market, we should logically expect an all-aluminum Toyota Camry or Honda Accord soon, right? Um, wrong. Reuters has a great report on what's keeping Asian manufacturers away from aluminum, and it demonstrates yet another stark philosophical difference between automakers in the east and those in the west. Of course, there's a pricing argument at play. But it's more than just the cost of aluminum sheet (shown above) versus steel. Manufacturing an aluminum car requires extensive retooling of existing factories, not to mention new relationships with suppliers and other logistical and financial nightmares. Factor that in with what Reuters calls Asian automaker's preference towards "evolutionary upgrades," and the case for an all-aluminum Accord is a difficult one. Instead, manufacturers in the east are focusing on developing even stronger steel as a means of trimming fat, although analysts question how long that practice can continue. Jeff Wang, the automotive sales director for aluminum supplier Novelis, predicts that we'll see a bump in aluminum usage from Japanese and Korean brands in the next two to three years, and that it will be driven by an influx of aluminum-based vehicles from western automakers into China. Only time will tell if he's proven right. News Source: ReutersImage Credit: Sean Gallup / Getty Images Plants/Manufacturing Honda Hyundai Mazda Nissan Toyota Technology aluminum
Nissan EV design is diverging in three directions
Tue, Jan 21 2014As the movie awards season kicks into high gear, Nissan design chief Shiro Nakamura appears to be implying that his company's electric-vehicle design prospects are about to go from Philomena into The Wolf of Wall Street territory. Nakamura, speaking with Motor Authority at the Detroit Auto Show last week, allowed that the design of the five-seat Nissan Leaf is fairly conservative and will remain so given that the model continues to be the most practically-minded EV from the company. In the near future, though, Nissan is planning to head in different directions. Specifically, an all-electric sports car and a two-seat commuter vehicle that could come with in-wheel electric motors that will allow the designs to get more radical. How radical? Well, we've heard Nissan may bring the BladeGlider concept (pictured) it unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year to production. It has a narrow front and wider rear and a 1+2 seating arrangement. Beyond that, Nissan has the two-seat Esflow concept vehicle it showed off in 2011 that could provide some hints, since it's expected that some of the design components from that car will be worked into the upcoming production models.
