The following are mechanical or aesthetic defects at the time of my purchase 2 years ago: 1) The seams of the convertible top show the normal amount of wear and tear and has leaked on occasion when taken through a carwash. The leakage is hardly noticeable. 2) The front cupholder is missing in the passenger side. 3) The vanity mirror plastic piece is broken. This is an easy fix with superglue I just never used it. 4) The front driver side window moves 1 inch downwards every time the door is shut. This is a common issue but I never bothered to fix it since I simply put the window all the way up and turn the car off before closing the door. 5) Strut mount on front suspension needs to be re-tightened. Occasionally (this has only happened 5-10 times since I've owned it), when braking harder or turning in reverse a pop noise occurs. It happens so infrequently I never bothered to fix it."

This a 2004 nissan 350z "enthusiast" convertible I have owned for two years. It was never driven in the winter under my ownership and was kept in a garage when parked.  It has been a fantastic car and I am sad to sell it. I maintained the interior/exterior meticulously and have handwashed it with the exception of running it through the soft-cloth carwash on a few occasions.

Includes a Bose surround sound system and navigation, heated seats, and is fully loaded for the 2004 convertible. AC blows cold and all electronics aside from driver side window work fine. I installed new front tires last fall and windshield due to a stone hitting my windshield on the highway. The windows were tinted before I purchased the vehicle and are at 25%. I've never had any issues with the police and the % tint on the windows. Only 10,000 miles have been put on this car during my 2 years of ownership.

2 months ago I replaced the 5th bar motor because the top was having trouble opening/closing. The top powers up/down quickly without any issues since this fix. This repair is common amongst 2004-2006 models and costs $1400 to repair at the dealership. The part alone is $500 and thankfully my cousin is a mechanic.  Aside from that, the only other major mechanical issue is the driver side window which has never bothered me the two years I've owned it. There are instructions on how to fix it if you choose to do so yourself on 350z forums, or you may take it to the dealer and they'd charge you a couple hundred.

Please send me a message for any other questions/picture requests and I'll be as responsive as possible. If you live near the Philadelphia area please feel free to come inspect before bidding or official purchase.

I fully disclosed all mechanical and aesthetic issues in the condition section. None of the issues were major enough to ever bother me.

Delivery is PICK UP ONLY and a non-refundable deposit of $500 must be made through paypal within 48 hours of purchase. The remaining payment can be made via paypal or at time of pick-up by certified check. Feel free to message me a reasonable offer.

Also, the registration is expiring at the end of this month and inspection is required in the state of Pennsylvania by end of August.

Kelly Blue book values this car between $13,100 and $14,000. ***No Reserve price set.

Renault delays decision on merger with Fiat Chrysler

Wed, Jun 5 2019

PARIS — Renault has delayed a decision on whether to merge with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, a deal that could reshape the global auto industry as carmakers race to make electric and autonomous vehicles for the masses. The deal still looks likely, but faced new criticism Tuesday from Renault's leading union and questions from its Japanese alliance partner Nissan. The French government is also putting conditions on the deal, including job guarantees and an operational headquarters based in France. The French carmaker's board will meet again at the end of the day Wednesday to "continue to study with interest" last week's merger proposal from FCA, Renault said in a statement. A Renault board meeting Tuesday to study the deal was inconclusive. The company didn't explain why, but a French government official said board members don't want to rush into a deal and are seeking agreement on all parts of the potential merger. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with government policy, told The Associated Press the conditions outlined by France's finance minister still "need to be met." France and Italy are both painting themselves as winners in the deal, which could save both companies 5 billion euros ($5.6 billion) a year. But workers worry a merger could lead to job losses, and analysts warn it could bog down in the challenges of managing such a hulking company across multiple countries. And a possible loser is Japan's Nissan, whose once-mighty alliance with Renault and Mitsubishi is on the rocks since star CEO Carlos Ghosn's arrest in November. Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa cast doubt Tuesday on whether his company will be involved in a Renault-Fiat Chrysler merger — and suggested adding Fiat Chrysler to the looser Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance instead. Saikawa said in a statement that the Renault-Fiat Chrysler deal would "significantly alter" the structure of Nissan's longtime partnership with Renault, and Nissan would analyze its contractual relationships to protect the company's interests. If Renault's board says "yes" to Fiat Chrysler, that would open the way for a non-binding memorandum of understanding to start exclusive merger negotiations. The ensuing process — including consultations with unions, the French government, antitrust authorities and other regulators — would take about a year. A merger would create the world's third-biggest automaker, worth almost $40 billion and producing some 8.7 million vehicles a year.

Why it's difficult to accurately test the efficiency of a plug-in car

Thu, Feb 5 2015

When it comes to electric vehicles and plug-ins in general, the Environmental Protection Agency-certified range is a hugely important number. While actual range anxiety is largely psychological, the magic number does provide a point of comparison of buyers considering one EV over another. The driving distance is also often touted by automakers when marketing their models. Unfortunately, as Green Car Reports finds in a recent deep dive, the way the EPA calculates the figure is a convoluted mess, and discovering the reasons why is definitely worth the read. The issue isn't about bad science but instead comes down to vague wording. The EPA's accepted range test is sourced from an evaluation called J-1634 from the Society of Automotive Engineers, and it seems to provide balanced results for vehicles that automatically reach a single state of charge when plugged in. However for models with multiple charge settings, the situation gets complicated very quickly. Of course, these modes are often created in the software, meaning that a car's certified driving distance can change with just a few taps of the keyboard without the real world results owners might experience actually changing. By showing the test's effects on the certified range for the Tesla Model S, Nissan Leaf and Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive over the last few years, Green Car Reports makes a compelling argument that it's the evaluation that needs to change. Thankfully, it appears that the solution is a very simple one. Get the details here.

Nissan e-NV200 electric taxi comes to Amsterdam

Fri, Mar 14 2014

Amsterdam's Taxi Electric liked its two-plus years with an all-Nissan Leaf electric vehicle fleet so much that it just got bigger, or at least with its vehicle choice. The company, which says it's the first private-taxi outfit to boast an all-electric fleet, is going to start adding Nissan e-NV200 electric compact vans to its stable of vehicles. The company started out with its Leaf fleet in late 2011 and has since put about a million miles on the 25 EVs. Nissan said in January that the new electric van will start being tested by FedEx here in the state and it has already been put through the wringer by FedEx in Singapore, Japan and Germany. Last September, Nissan said it was in the "final development phase" of the electric compact van and would start selling it to the public this year, though it wasn't real specific with details. That month, it was also announced that the vehicle, which uses the same drivetrain as the Leaf, would go into taxi service in Barcelona sometime this year. Nissan representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for more details on when the model would start public sales, how much it would cost and what it's single charge range is. Until we hear back, you can check out the official press release below. This summer Taxi Electric becomes the first taxi company in Amsterdam to adopt the zero-emission Nissan e-NV200 Taxi Electric first 100% Nissan LEAF fleet since November 2011 Pioneering Amsterdam-based company have covered 1.5 million km demonstrating Nissan EVs' quality and reliability AMSTERDAM, Netherlands – Taxi Electric will be the first private taxi company to add the new 100-percent electric Nissan e-NV200 taxi to its green-energy zero-emission fleet. The combination of Nissan's innovative zero-emission technology, in the form of the 100-percent electric Nissan LEAF, and Taxi Electric's ground-breaking city transportation model have been a recipe for success since the start of operation in 2011. Now the two companies have teamed up again to build on this success and take the next step forward by introducing the game-changing all-electric Nissan e-NV200 taxi this summer. Amsterdam-based Taxi Electric operates a fleet of 25 Nissan LEAF vehicles. It was the first private taxi service to switch to a fleet of 100% electric taxis in 2011. The Dutch company's fleet of Nissan LEAFs has now amassed a trouble-free 1.5 million km in taxi operations – proof of the electric vehicle's high quality and reliability.
