2003 Nissan 350z Performance Trim 6 Speed Daytona Blue Southern Car on 2040-cars
Cleveland, Ohio, United States
2003 Nissan 350 Z for sale. Clean and clear title in hand. I am the 2nd owner of this car. It has
only been in Ohio for about a year and a half & is not driven in
the winter. The car is originally from North Carolina, so it's very clean underneath, unlike many of our cars in Ohio where the car is located now. This car turns heads everywhere I go. "Performance" model includes cruise control, Vehicle Dynamic Contrl (Vdc
- traction control), tire pressure monitor, 18" wheels, xenon HID headlights. On a long highway drive I have got as high as 27mpg in this car, which is great for what it is.
The car is stock with the exception of a megan racing test pipe that was installed about 1 year ago. I do have the stock pipe/catalytic converter that will go with the sale of the vehicle in case it would ever be needed again. Also there was a short throw shifter on the car when I purchased it.The side & rear window has been tinted to about 30%. No bubbles or issues with the tint, looks great. 6 speed manual, clutch feels great. 77,800 miles currently, may go up if we have any decent weather and I have the opportunity to drive it. Always full synthetic oil changes (as did the previous owner, verified by receipts), just changed oil before winter weather hit us. I've only ran 93 octane in the gas tank though only 91 is required. I have some copy of maintenance records from the previous owner as he took it to the dealer for everything. I only put about 15,000 miles or less on it myself, so the only thing I have needed to do was an alignment and a few oil changes. The orignal owner of the car was an older guy with a family, seemed to take good care of it, didn't get the impression that he beat on it, and I certainly did not. Interior: In good shape. Many used 350z you see will have pretty worn out seats. The driver side on mine is SLIGHTLY warn but nowhere near as bad as many that I see. I give the interior a 8/10, only because of the seat showing a little bit of wear (from 5 ft away you would not ever notice but I try to be as honest as possible when selling a car/motorcycle/etc) Exterior: A couple of small dents/dings which I assume are from rocks or anything else from the freeway. The 350z are known for the bumpers being pretty chipped up from rocks, some are pretty bad, mine I consider to be nice! There is nothing on the car that is dent/ding/chipped anymore than you would expect from a vehicle of this age / mileage. Nothing is significant enough that I can even capture it in a photo. I do still prefer that the buyer look at the vehicle in person prior to purchasing! On the car you will notice several things blacked out, including the bottom of the front bumper, the wheels, side markers on the front bumper, nissan emblems. This was done using plastidip. If you are unfamiliar with the product, look into it. It is 100% reversible. It will actually peel right off as a rubbery coating. IF you do not prefer the current look with things being blacked out, you can remove it very easily, or I could do it for you when you pick it up. It is as quick and easy as I'm making it sound and does no harm to material underneath of it. The front right rim has a little curb rash that was on there when I purchased it. It's not horrible but again I prefer to make note of everything possible. With the plastidip over the wheel it is almost not noticeable at all. The front driver side tire will need replaced soon. It was wearing poorly prior to getting an alignment. The outside of the tire is worn but the rest is good. Being that this car only gets driven in nice weather I was never concerned with it. I would personally put many more miles on it before replacing it, but again I prefer to be honest and point things out. The rest of the tires are very good. I give it a 8/10 with the exception of the tire! It just recently passed emissions inspection in November. I can possibly help with delivery if needed and weather conditions are not cooperating. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Clean and clear title in hand. Sad to see this go. Very enjoyable car to own. I've owned a few Nissans in the last few years and mechanically they have been the best few cars that I have had yet. |

Nissan sees its EV sales surging to 1 million annually by 2022
Fri, Mar 23 2018YOKOHAMA, Japan — Nissan announced plans to sell 1 million electric vehicles (EVs) annually by 2022, a six-fold jump from what it sold last year, and said it had no plans to stop testing its self-driving cars on public roads, calling them safe. Japan's No. 2 automaker and its rivals are planning to crank up development and production of electric cars in response to tightening emissions regulations around the world, even as demand for such vehicles remains limited due to their high cost and limited charging infrastructure. Launched as the world's first mass-market all-battery EV in 2010, Nissan's Leaf compact hatchback is the world's best-selling EV, though sales have been just around 300,000 units in its lifetime. The company now plans to focus its lower-emissions lineup on all-battery and gasoline-hybrid EVs rather than costlier technologies including plug-in hybrids. Nissan said on Friday it would develop eight new all-battery EVs over the next five years, including four models for China. Its luxury Infiniti brand would begin carrying new electric models from 2021, it added. Through 2022, vehicles powered by its "e-Power" gasoline-hybrid technology would likely comprise the majority of Nissan's electric line-up, it said. Such vehicles use gasoline to power the car's motor, requiring a much smaller battery than EVs and therefore are less expensive to produce. "The heart of our strategy in terms of electrification is battery EVs and e-Power technology," Nissan Chief Planning Officer Philippe Klein told reporters at a briefing. Concerns about EV battery costs and components have prompted many automakers to develop a variety of lower emissions technologies, but Klein said that Nissan would largely forego plug-in hybrids and hydrogen fuel cell technologies, given their low cost-performance at the moment. In 2017, Nissan sold 163,000 electric vehicles globally. Nissan and its automaking partners, Renault and Mitsubishi, together plan to launch 17 electric models as part of their strategy to achieve annual vehicle sales totaling 14 million units by 2022, compared with 10.6 million units in 2017. Self-driving tests to continue Automakers and technology companies are facing mounting pressure to prove that their automated driving functions under development are safe to use on public roads following a fatal accident involving a self-driving car operated by Uber Technologies [UBER.UL] in the United States earlier this week.
Question of the Day: Most heinous act of badge engineering?
Wed, Dec 30 2015Badge engineering, in which one company slaps its emblems on another company's product and sells it, has a long history in the automotive industry. When Sears wanted to sell cars, a deal was made with Kaiser-Frazer and the Sears Allstate was born. Iranians wanted new cars in the 1960s, and the Rootes Group was happy to offer Hillman Hunters for sale as Iran Khodro Paykans. Sometimes, though, certain badge-engineered vehicles made sense only in the 26th hour of negotiations between companies. The Suzuki Equator, say, which was a puzzling rebadge job of the Nissan Frontier. How did that happen? My personal favorite what-the-heck-were-they-thinking example of badge engineering is the 1971-1973 Plymouth Cricket. Chrysler Europe, through its ownership of the Rootes Group, was able to ship over Hillman Avanger subcompacts for sale in the US market. This would have made sense... if Chrysler hadn't already been selling rebadged Mitsubishi Colt Galants (as Dodge Colts) and Simca 1100s as (Simca 1204s) in its American showrooms. Few bought the Cricket, despite its cheery ad campaign. So, what's the badge-engineered car you find most confounding? Nissan Juke Nismo RS reveal confirmed by LA Auto Show
Thu, 10 Oct 2013With the LA Auto Show a little more than a month away, we're getting a good idea of which cars we'll be seeing there. Show organizers have issued a press release that names numerous debuts we've heard about already, and one that caught our eye as brand new: the Nissan Juke Nismo RS.
We first heard about the Juke Nismo RS last year, and reported news of track-focused handling upgrades as well as a boost in power to the tune of 270 horsepower - an increase of 73 hp over a standard Juke. There is still no definitive word as to what else the will come with the Nismo RS package.
In addition to the Juke, we hear that the Nismo brand will also help unveil a new concept vehicle for Nissan on the LA stage.
