Nissan 300zx road race car
Engine by Rising Sun Performance Suspension by Dickey Racing Custom roll cage by Curt Janish This car is set up for SCCA road racing. It is not street legal. It has many 1st place wins and track records. Tons of spares. $20k invested. This is a Nissan 300ZX prepared to SCCA IT specs. The intake, and exhaust have been optimized. Internal engine components are stock....balanced and blueprinted, Ports are matched per SCCA rules. Brakes are stock rotors and calipers, Hawk blue pads. Suspension uses Koni shocks and Eibach springs. It has adjustable camber in the front. This is a normally aspirated engine. For the scca it class that is what could be used. You could also race it in other classes if you decided to put a turbo motor in it. Auto cross and other sanctioning bodies are also a possibility. The form required a mileage number but that is really not applicable. It was a street car with 100k+ when it was converted to a race car. The body has approximately 20 races the engine about 11. It has not been raced in 5 years. |

Nissan settles with FTC over misleading dune buggy ad [w/videos]
Fri, 24 Jan 2014A couple years ago, Nissan created a series of commercials for its compact Frontier pickup showing the truck performing outlandish stunts such as snowboarding, saving a passenger airplane from a crash landing and climbing a steep sand dune to help a stranded dune buggy. As crazy as the first two commercials were, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) took issue with the latter, titled Hill Climb, with the agency considering it to be a misleading commercial since both vehicles required a cable to reach the top of the steep dune.
As such, Ad Age is reporting that Nissan - and its ad agency TBWA Worldwide - has settled with the FTC over the ad despite the fact that it features a disclaimer stating: "Fictionalization. Do not attempt." Nissan did not have to pay out any money in the settlement, but it is prohibited "from using potentially misleading demonstrations in future advertisements for pickups." Nissan to present Vision Gran Turismo concept at Goodwood?
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Power up your PlayStation and pop in any edition of Gran Turismo and you'll have hundreds of cars to choose from. But arguably few have managed to bridge the gap between that virtual world and reality than Nissan.
The Japanese automaker is the one responsible for putting the best gamers behind the wheel of actual race cars with its GT Academy, co-sponsored by Nissan and Gran Turismo. Yet while the likes of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen and Mitsubishi have already revealed their Vision Gran Turismo concepts specifically designed for the game, Nissan has been left behind. And as it is apt to point out in its latest infographic, that's not a position to which it's accustomed.
The graphic outlines all 148 Nissan vehicles you can drive in Gran Turismo, but leaves the last one under wraps, identified only by the date June 10, 2014. That's this Tuesday, when Nissan is hotly anticipated (thanks in no small part to the Tweet below from Nissan VP Andy Palmer) to reveal its own Vision Gran Turismo concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
