YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1995 NISSAN 300 ZX NON TURBO WITH 143K MILES WITH 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANS. THE CAR IS FIRE ENGINE RED WITH BLACK CLOTH INT WITH POWER DRIVERS SEAT, PWR WINDOWS AND LOCKS AND REMOVABLE T-TOPS. THIS CAR IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE CONSIDERING IT IS 17 YEARS OLD IT WAS A ONE OWNER CAR BEFORE I PURCHASED IT ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. THE CAR CAME FROM FLORIDA AND HAS BEEN A SOUTHERN CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW NO RUST ISSUES AT ALL. I WAS TOLD THAT THE ORINGINAL OWNER WAS AN OLDER GENTLEMAN FROM FLORIDA AND HE TRADED THE CAR IN AT THE CAR DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM IN TAMPA. THE CAR WAS VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF OVER THE YEARS AND IT SHOWS, IT HAS NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN AND THERE ARE NO RIPS, TEARS, BURNS OR STAINS ON THE SEATS OR CARPET. THE CAR STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL RED FACTORY PAINT THAT IS IN GREAT CONDITION THE CLEAR COAT IS STILL VERY SHINYAND IS NOT NOT PEELING ANYWHERE, THERE IS ONE SCRATCH ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR ABOUT 6" LONG AND THAT IS THE ONLY FLAW IN THE PAINT BESIDES THE ROCKERS HAVING A FEW ROCK CHIPS IN THEM FROM NORMAL USE. IT ALSO HAS A NEW SET OF MASTERCRAFT MC-440 225/50R/16 TIRES WITH ABOUT 1000 MILES ON THEM. I BOUGHT THE CAR TO DRIVE BACK AND FORTH TO MY PREVIOUS JOB A 65 MILE ROUND TRIP DAILY, I RECENTLY STARTED A NEW JOB LOCALLY IN MANNING AND NO LONGER NEED THE CAR SINCE MY NEW JOB IS ONLY 8 MILES FROM MY HOUSE AND IT SITS IN THE DRIVEWAY NOT BEING DRIVEN.

AS MOST PEOPLE KNOW NISSAN STOPPED MAKING THIS MODEL 300Z IN 1996 AND THEY ARE GETTING EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN GOOD CONDITION AND IF YOU CAN FIND THEM THE PRICE IS USUALLY VERY HIGH I AM NOT ASKING AN ARM AND LEG FOR THIS CAR BUT WHAT I AM ASKING IT IS WELL WORTH IT. IT WOULD MAKE SOMEONE A GREAT FIRST VEHICLE OR A GREAT 2ND VEHICLE. THE CAR IS IN GREAT CONDITION AND EVERYTHING WORKS JUST AS IT SHOULD. THE ONLY THINGS THAT I HAVE HAD DONE TO THE CAR IS THE TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP WAS REPLACED AT 140K MILES AND A NEW SET OF TIRES WERE PUT ON AT 142K MILES. I HAVE THE CLEAR SC TITLE IN HAND.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL OR EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR. BRIAN 803-460-4228. THE CAR IS LOCATED IN MANNING, SC 29012. I DO KNOW SOMEONE LOCALLY THAT IS IN THE TRANSPORT BUSINESS AND HER PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE SO IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE WITH TRANSPORT OF THE CAR I WILL TRY AND HELP AS MUCH AS I CAN.

2013 Nissan e-NV200 taxi will carry Catalunians quietly beginning next year

Thu, 12 Sep 2013

The Nissan e-NV200, currently in the final phases of testing with FedEx fleets in various countries, will be getting more demanding cargo next year in Barcelona when it goes into service as a taxi. Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show by Carlos Ghosn and with the mayor of Barcelona, Xavier Trias, in attendance, the e-NV200 is the van slightly reworked into a unique design and resting on a Leaf electric powertrain.
The NV200 van is built in Barcelona, and when the electric version goes into production there next year it will begin its public beta will as part of a set of initiatives the Spanish city has for zero-emissions transportation. Nissan will be helping with the build-out of infrastructure such as charging stations, while the city elders get to work on allocating privileges and special spaces for the e-NV200 taxi drivers.
After the Catalonian debut Nissan says the electric hauler will make its way to other parts of the world. Nothing's been said yet about whether it will join our combustion-engined NV200 taxis in New York. You can take a look at the fare-driven future in the high-res gallery above, and read more about it in the press release below.

Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.
