1995 Nissan 300ZX Convertible

Extremely Well Maintained!  NO RESERVE!

You are bidding on a very rare 1995 Nissan 300ZX convertible with MANUAL transmission. The car has been garaged its entire life with only 99k original miles. It drives very impressively - the acceleration is swift and the shifting is seamless. ALL maintenance records dating back to 1995 are all compiled and available - please provide me with your email and I will gladly send images of the documents. You will see just how meticulously maintained this car has been through the years.

Notable services/maintenance:

- MEGAN RACING Coilover Suspension (fully adjustable) at 94k miles
- Timing belt replaced at 66k miles
- Brakes and rotors serviced at 94k miles
- New clutch installed within last 18 months
- RED LINE transmission fluid within last month
- Run with Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil its entire life
- OEM paint on Front and Rear bumpers
- Brand new plastic windows for convertible top
- K&N Air Filter recently cleaned and oiled

Considering its age, this car is a solid 8.5 out of 10. The body is in great shape - there are only very minor scratches and imperfections. The headlights are crystal clear and the lens casings show no oxidation.

The speakers are JBL's wired to an Alpine amp located under the passenger seat. The radio is factory original and works great, but the CD player will not read CD's. This is very common among cars this age and is an easy fix with an alternative head unit.

The convertible top works flawlessly. The fabric is in excellent condition. It shows minimal wear and has absolutely no tears in the threading. Mechanically, it functions perfectly. As stated, the plastic windows were recently replaced so they are also crystal clear.

The car comes with its original set of 2 keys and 2 remotes/key fobs, along with its original owner's manual, jack, and all factory accessories.

The pictures should provide further detail regarding the current cosmetic condition of the vehicle.

Nissan 'Ride of Your Life' campaign turns an Altima into a race car [w/video]

Thu, 08 May 2014

Nissan definitely makes some exciting vehicles. The GT-R has received continuous improvements to keep it at the head of the pack in the performance car world. And the Leaf might not bring driving intensity, but its technology is quite impressive. However, there is nothing especially thrilling about the Altima. Granted, it races in the Australian V8 Supercars series, but that car really only shares its basic shape with the production version. So it may see surprising that the Japanese automaker is hoping to inject some drama into its midsize sedan with its new Ride of Your Life ad campaign.
The project is pretty clever. Nissan invited several people to the Horse Thief Mile circuit at Willow Springs Raceway for a ride in an Altima racecar. After a few laps with a professional driver around the course, they pulled into the pits, and the passengers got a big surprise. We won't spoil what happens for you. You can check it out in the video below.
The concept is somewhat similar to Toyota's thrill ride ads for the Camry last year. Both promotions try to show that that these four-door, family sedans can be more than just boring transportation. Nissan's commercials will begin airing on TV soon. The automaker hopes to excite potential Altima buyers ahead of its upcoming national sales event. Scroll down to watch the video to find out the big secret and read the full release about the campaign.

Panoz mulls suing Nissan for ZEOD RC's Deltawing likeness

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery, but in racing, where something as simple as a car's shape can lead to a competitive advantage, imitation can be a big no-no. That reality is being played out right now, with the DeltaWing prototype and the Nissan ZEOD RC. The two cars, as you can see from the images above, bear a striking resemblance to each other. They're so similar, in fact, that Dr. Don Panoz, one of the big names behind the DeltaWing program, is assigning some legal eagles to investigate any patent infringement.
The similarity shouldn't be a shock, though. Both cars are penned by Ben Bowlby, and the DeltaWing - which will be arriving as a coupe in the very near future - had Nissan branding and power for a not-insignificant amount of time. But for Panoz, the ZEOD RC's resemblance is just a bit too much, as he told Autoweek, "It's been interesting to watch people from Nissan trying to dodge the question, but the fact is that in their own press release they admit that the configuration of the ZEOD is the same as the DeltaWing. And we do have patents, in fact another one was just issued last week. We are in discussions with our legal advisors and we'll see what happens."
Frankly, it's not difficult to see what Panoz means. The general shape of the ZEOD RC, with its wide rear track and narrow front track arrangement - not to mention the headlights mounted over the rear wheel arches and any arrangements not visible under the body - are so reminiscent of the DeltaWing that differences like the shape of its closed cockpit and more upright front end might not prove different enough to avert Panoz's legal action. We'll stay with this one and let you know as more becomes available.

Nissan's autonomous cars could drive in US first, maybe by 2020

Fri, Jan 24 2014

Future shock could be just six short years away, and coming first to the US. Nissan says it might start making autonomous versions of its cars available in the US by 2020, before the tech hits the road in other countries. The Japanese automaker is in extensive discussions with regulators from California, the best-selling state for the Leaf battery-electric vehicle, for allowing self-driving vehicles to be on its roads, Hybrid Cars says, citing a conversation with Nissan executive Andy Christensen at the recent Detroit Auto Show. Many decisions need to be made between now and then, given the hurdles related to issues such as regulations, liability, safety and technology - and Christensen said the first wave of self-driving vehicles would be able to do their thing only on the highway. The vehicle of choice is most likely to be the Leaf because it's completely battery operated, making the conversion to autonomy that much easier. Last summer, Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn first promised production autonomous cars by 2020. The automaker has teamed up with MIT, Stanford, Oxford and others to extensively test its "Autonomous Drive" concepts since then. Late last year, Nissan tested a self-driving Leaf on Japanese public roads. Nissan is not alone promoting autonomous driving as a way to increase safety, fuel economy and traffic flow, just some of the reasons why the idea may be the wave of the nearer-than-we-thought-future. For example, the company says 93 percent of accidents are caused by driver error.
