1991 Nissan 300zx 2+2 Coupe 2-door 3.0l No Reserve on 2040-cars

First i want to start by apologizing for the sideways pictures, i tried everything and couldnt get them the right way. also, the cars kind of dirty in the pictures but its the only chance i had for pictures in between rain. 1991 Nissan 300zx 2+2 5 speed manual transmission, white in color,, 150,100 miles. Mechanically, this car runs great. It's fast, no problems with the engine or transmission. It's a lot of fun to drive. Cosmetically, it needs some work. Everything is as seen in pictures, and if you need more pictures I can text them to you, 304-224-5237. Front driver side fender, when I purchased the vehicle, the guy I bought it from had hit a deer, so it has some creasing to it, and the door rubs on it a little when you open it from the creasing. The t-tops have a very slow leak on each side when it is raining. There is a small amount of rust on the passenger side tire well. That's the only rust on the car. The speakers on the inside are the original Bose speakers, and they don't sound great, I have a set of 12's and a new head unit that will come with the car. The head unit is installed and working, all of the wires are run except for the main power wire to go to the subs from the battery, you will just need an amp. The rear rotors have some rust on the from it sitting all winter, but they work fine, it comes off as you press the brakes, I was going to have them cleaned up, and I haven't had the time, they are drilled and slotted. One of the lifters is a little bit loud, nothing major, and from what I hear quite common with these cars. It will also need new tires, I priced them and they come to about $300.00 for all 4. There is no blower motor so there is no heat or air, I wasn't concerned because I never drove it in the winter, and in the summer I had the tops off. Now for the interior, it's pretty nice. The white detailing has a bit of yellow stain to it, not a lot.....it was smoked in when I bought it which caused that. The front seats are 350z seats, not 300zx seats. Automatic windows, but not automatic locks. I'm only getting rid of this car, because I have a truck now, and I don't find myself driving the car too much anymore. My plan was to fix It all up, and since I bought my truck, I lost interest. If you're looking for a 300zx that doesn't require a lot of attention, and is ready to be driven right now, without a problem, this will be it. I want to see it go to someone who will appreciate it, I hate seeing it just sitting there. Also, I put a brand new battery in it. Also, after market steering wheel was in it when I got it, and he never hooked the horn up to it. And it could probably use an oil change and an alignment after you get the new tires. Now...I believe it touched base on everything. Thanks for looking!! |

2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility of the Year entries announced
Wed, Jul 6 2016Over 40 vehicles will compete for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility of the Year awards. If that name looks a little strange, it's because the competition added a third category. In years past, pickup trucks, crossovers, SUVs, commercial vans, and minivans competed for the same award. That's why there were occasionally weird comparisons, like last year's competition between the Volvo XC90 and Nissan Titan XD. The new format separates pickups and commercial vans into the truck contest and CUVs, SUVs, and minivans into the utility competition. A complete list of eligible vehicles is below, but here are a few highlights. For one, the entire list of entries has a luxurious lean. Of the 43 vehicles, nearly half of them are from premium brands. There are two eligible Bentleys – the Bentayga and Mulsanne – the Rolls-Royce Dawn, Jaguar F-Pace, Audi Q7, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-, E-, and S-Class Maybach. The performance ranks are lofty, too, with the Audi R8, Acura NSX, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Mercedes SL- and SLC-Class, Porsche 718, and F-150 Raptor. The mainstream entries are just as comprehensive. From the Chrysler Pacifica to the Chevrolet Cruze to the Fiat 124 Spider to the Mitsubishi Mirage, NACTOY has covered an enormous price range with this year's contestants. Of course, these are only the eligible vehicles. They'll need to run through three rounds of judging, starting in September at NACTOY's traditional Hell, MI, test drive. The Canadian and American journalists involved in the judging will announce this year's nine finalists – three in each category – on December 6. Renault's planned luxury sub-brand gets reconsidered
Fri, 29 Mar 2013Renault believes there's enough Alpine love to restart that brand with its own model almost immediately. The launch of the Initiale Paris luxury brand it's been mulling, on the other hand, will be more restrained: a report in Autocar says that instead of launching with a first model based on the Mercedes E-Class architecture, Renault is going to introduce an Initiale Paris trim line on the new Clio and Espace. More accurately, that should be 're-introduce and aggressively market,' since Renault has used an Initiale Paris trim over the years since it introduced the concept car (pictured) in 1995, even as recently as the current-generation Laguna Coupe.
Other models will be added after the Clio and Espace, and when Renault can assess what kind of future the trim has, it will decide on the launch of a subsidiary brand. Company CEO Carlos Tavares said we shouldn't hang around waiting for a decision, though, declaring that establishing such a brand - if it even comes to that - "will be a job for at least my successor to worry about, not me."
Junkyard Gem: 1996 Nissan Quest XE with 338,549 miles
Sun, Jul 9 2023When I hit the junkyard, I always look for vehicles with impressive final figures showing on their odometers. I find so many Hondas and Toyotas with better than 300,000 miles that I don't consider them especially noteworthy (the exception being super-low-spec cheap models, such as a Tercel or Civic VX), and it goes without saying that the bar is quite high for Mercedes-Benzes as well. It has been surprisingly difficult to find discarded Nissans that made it past the 300k mark; today's Junkyard Gem is just the fourth I've documented. The highest-mile junked Nissan I'd found prior to today's minivan is a 1994 Maxima with 364,238 miles, followed by a 1987 Maxima with 341,176 miles and a 1986 200SX with 309,222 miles. Keep in mind that Nissan didn't go to six-digit odometers on most of its US-market cars until the early 1980s, and then went to tough-to-read-in-the-junkyard electronic odometers in the early 2000s; this means the pool of potential high-mile Nissans is limited to about the 1983-2000 range of model years. Ford has just as much right to claim credit to this van's impressive mile total as does Nissan, since the Quest was a collaboration between Ford and Nissan that also produced the Mercury Villager; this van was built by Ford at the Ohio Assembly plant. The Quest/Villager platform was derived from the Maxima's, and the engine is pure Nissan: a 3.0-liter VG30 V6 rated at 151 horsepower. The only transmission available in the first-generation (1993-1999) Quest/Villager was a four-speed automatic. This one appears to have been sold new at Landrum Nissan in Pueblo. The rear glass has been painted flat black, possibly to keep prying eyes from seeing valuable cargo. The rear seats are long gone, so this van probably hauled cargo for much of its long life. The front interior seems to be in good shape. Why is this van here? There's body damage on the left rear and right front, suggesting a crash that may have bent the suspension past the worth-fixing threshold. Perhaps the crinkled metal just made this van too unsightly, or maybe some powertrain problem was the culprit. This content is hosted by a third party.
