I am selling a 1990 300zx twin turbo. I bought the car a little over a month ago right before my mortgage guy told me how much I needed to put down on the house I'm trying to buy! I bought the car from the original owner, who is an 81year old man. So doing the math, he bought the car brand new when he was 56! It has 57,000 original miles. No accidents. It is all original, no mods have ever been done. He had best buy put an aftermarket CD player and speakers in it. When I bought the car, I put a hks turbo timer in, with hks's factory wiring harness, and I put the vossen 19in wheels on it. I have the stock wheels and tires as well. The car spent most of its live in a garage in Ohio. He had it transported to Florida a couple yrs ago, and sat in a garage down here, and would get used when he came down to visit family. The paint is in great shape for 24yr old Nissan paint. There are 3 spots where the paint has been scratched and posted pictures to show them. One is front pass wheel well, the round spot is on drivers fender down low, and the other scratch is on the drivers rear qtr panel. The interior is in great shape. Everything is perfect except for driver side bolster, which I will give an 81yr old man credit just for being able to get in it! Those are the only issues with the entire car. I can have the bolster fixed before delivery of the vehicle, but wanted to list the car as is, so there isn't a question of covering up defects. Everything is as it is when I bought it. You don't see a car like this with low miles and no mods! I'm being very fair in the price. I just need back what I put into it. Any questions, please contact me. The original owner just relocated to Florida and all his records for the car are in a box somewhere, so if u have questions about its past, I can contact him to get info.

Nissan Xterra's fate hangs in the balance

Sat, 21 Sep 2013

The Nissan Xterra might not be long for this world, according to a report from Edmunds. The rugged SUV, which has always been a bit more of a hardcore, purpose-built vehicle than the rest of the Nissan SUV range. But it has also suffered from slowing sales, low fuel economy relative to the competition and general neglect, as Nissan has focused on other offerings in its range.
"There are plans to replace it, there are always plans, (but) I am not sure it will happen. I would say in the next six months to a year," Pierre Loing, vice president of product planning for Nissan Americas told Edmunds. Part of the problem, he added, was that the Xterra is a US-only vehicle, which makes it a hard sell in a world where automakers are increasingly depending on global cars.
Besides the economic forces working against the Xterra, it's just a vehicle that hasn't been a huge sales success of late. Customers are more conscious of fuel economy and a body-on-frame SUV that only nets 16 miles per gallon just isn't good enough; arguably why Nissan barely sold 17,000 units last year. We can hold out hope, as the Xterra remains a fun off-roader that we'd hate to see go, but unless Nissan finds a business case or some global partners, this is a vehicle that is on its last leg.

Nissan Resonance Concept gives glimpse of next Murano

Tue, 15 Jan 2013

The Nissan Resonance Concept has bowed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, giving the world a glimpse at the company's future design direction for crossovers. Specifically, the concept heralds what the next-generation Murano may look like once it touches down. Nissan has already confirmed the successor to the big crossover's throne will be produced in Mississippi for the first time. With a "floating" roof and dynamic head lamp arrays, the Resonance boasts a far more athletic appearance than the snub-nosed current generation. Inside, designers worked up a cockpit aimed at conveying what "the future of first-class space travel might be."
Nissan isn't saying what the upcoming Murano will have under the hood, but the Resonance boasts an all-wheel-drive hybrid powertrain with a small-displacement internal combustion engine and an electric motor. A lithium-ion battery delivers power while a CVT takes care of putting power to the wheels. Take a look at the full press release below for more information.

Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
