1985 Nissan 300zx Turbo on 2040-cars
Eugene, Oregon, United States
Very nice original with low miles. Two owners, never abused - the lady second owner has been very particular about maintenance and upkeep; all service is current. Never abused, and all receipts and original documents still with the car. Timing belt changed not many miles ago. Has automatic transmission with selectable overdrive.
Nice glass T-top [with shades] having no leaks, paint and body still quite good, with one tiny ding in the hood and a few spots where the black is flaking off the stainless trim - this is easy to touch up if desired. No rust ever. Tires fairly new; I would not hesitate to drive the car across country. And the first time you pass a vehicle with this car, you will get a big smile, courtesy of the turbo.
The original window sticker shows that it came with the two big options: electronic display and leather. The list of standard features on this model is impressive, even today: including heated side mirrors. Interior [non-smoker] is excellent, with only a small spot on the driver seat where wear shows. A/C working fine, as well as just about everything else - the radio has been replaced with a unit containing CD player, so the steering wheel buttons no longer control it. [but a remote came with the new unit]. The equalizer adjusts the player acoustics to suit the driver. This model has power seats with many adjustments, including lumbar and bolsters.
Clear title. Lost storage, so must sell. Ask any questions early enough that I can get you an answer quickly. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all arrangements and costs associated with shipping but I will do what I can to meet the shipper and see the car off safely. You are welcome to pick it up in person. There are several nice transport services that list with this car - check the transport button next to "description."

Nissan reviving Pulsar name for Euro market
Mon, 19 May 2014The Nissan Pulsar doesn't have what we'd consider a rich history in the US, other than on some models decades ago. However, the nameplate has been part of the Nissan lineup globally since 1978 and has proven popular in Asia and Australia. Now, the brand is teasing a five-door hatch to revive the name and hit European showrooms this fall.
The new Pulsar will be built at the company's recently renovated factory in Barcelona, Spain. It's not clear from the teaser whether this is the same model that is already sold in other parts of the world or a brand new vehicle. Although, Nissan says in the announcement that the car "has been designed to meet the specific demands of European car buyers."
With competitors like the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus, the European five-door hatch market is seriously competitive. It will be interesting to see if Nissan will have something special to bring to the table. Scroll down to read Nissan's full teaser about its latest hatchback in Europe.
Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet being phased out, no replacement planned
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Over the years, I've been given many nicknames - a few of them have even been repeatable around small children. One such moniker is "Mr. Other Makes," a title given to me because of my predilection for sifting through eBay Motors seeking out automotive misfits and orphans. I've got a soft spot for the dreamers and automakers who take big chances on beancounter-enraging flights of fancy.
I count Nissan among that bunch, because for every safe-as-houses Altima or Sentra that rolls out of its factory gates, the Japanese automaker has often secreted away a little funding for white-space niche vehicles that any sane person wouldn't expect to pencil out. Some, like the Juke, have proven to be massive hits. Others, like the GT-R, have become icons. And then there are models like the Murano CrossCabriolet, a segment-bending mashup the likes of which we haven't seen since the AMC Eagle Sundancer.
Yesterday, upon revealing the new third-generation Murano ahead of its New York Auto Show debut, we reported "the writing appears to be on the wall" for the midsize crossover's novel convertible cousin. It appears we were right. Autoblog can now confirm that the CrossCabriolet will die at the end of this model year, and our source at Nissan tells us unequivocally, "there is no plan for a next-generation Murano CC."
