I think I did a poor job of adding pictures showing how nice the car really is, maybe my photo's were not that good, so I am trying one more time here I have had the car for over 2 years, and put some money into her to make a daily driver out of her, but I had another great deal come along and bought a truck and use it as my daily driver, I cant keep everything. I bought her from an older lady, who with her husband bought it new, I have the original bill of sale, the original AZ title of theirs, and the original newspaper add they cut out and retained with their records I have the original window sticker (in pictures) , several promotional books from the day. I have their written records (written in small spiral notebook, in pictures)
last June I had her gone through front to back, new timing belt, water
pump, new timing belt tensioner, front crankshaft seal, new hoses, new
thermostat, full tune up (new plugs, wires, everything), new steering gear box,
front tie rod/lower control arm bushings, suspension strut/shock. The transmission and radiator were flushed. they were
amazed at the shop with how clean she was
in addition, I had the front hood repainted, it was a bad previous fix to
the stone dent they got back in the 80’s (I found it in their records), I also
had a new headliner put in, the old was coming apart. I bought Coco mats for her including the hatchback area (I have the original mats, but the coco look so good)
I just had the oil changed and front end aligned (they put 2 new tires on
her) and she is ready to roll. there are a few negatives: it is an automatic, the gas cap has a small outward dent (almost like the it was closed with the cap not fully installed). winning bidder pays shipping |

Nissan Leaf becomes least expensive 5-seat EV with massive price drop
Mon, 14 Jan 2013In a roundtable interview today at the North American International Auto Show, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn announced a $6,400 price drop for the base-model 2013 Nissan Leaf. Last year's base model was $35,200, while the new base-level 2013 Leaf S starts at $28,800. Ghosn says the new prices make the Leaf the least expensive five-seater electric for sale in the US.
Some of the lower cost is due to a difference in content from last year's low-end model to this year's. But a sizable portion can be chalked up to the Leaf's production moving from Japan to Tennessee. The 2013 Leaf is not only assembled in the US now, but its lithium-ion batteries and the car's electric motors are manufactured in the same southern state.
The Leaf SV will be priced from $31,820 for 2013 compared to $35,200 last year. The high-end Leaf SL now starts at $34,840, down from the 2012 model's $37,250. These models also have differences in content. One big one is a new 6.6-kWh charger that reduces charging times pretty dramatically.
Nissan will restore Craigslist Maxima, display at headquarters [w/video]
Sat, 08 Feb 2014Nissan showed that it had a great sense of humor when it bought Luke Aker's beat-up 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE for $1,400 back in December based solely on the quality of his tongue-in-cheek sales video.
Aker's Maxima had been thoroughly driven. It needed a strap to keep its hood closed, had front end damage, a missing turn signal and shredded leather seats. Of course, like Aker said in his ad, the car was still "fully loaded with an engine, wheels, tires and an automatic transmission." How could Nissan resist?
After buying the car, Nissan teamed up with MotorAuthority to decide what to do with it. The winning idea was to restore the car to its proper condition and display it at Nissan North America headquarters in Franklin, TN, with Aker's video playing nearby. According to MotorAuthority, the car has finally made it there, and its rebirth will begin soon. Nissan is not sure when the car will go on display.
Nissan rowed the Note ashore [w/video]
Thu, 24 Oct 2013Normally we wouldn't suggest trying to float your car on water, but Nissan has made some modifications to turn its new Versa Note hatchback into a makeshift rowing shell.
Nissan replaced the car's rear seats with a sliding rear rowing seat, modified the doors to open wider at 90 degrees and fitted a pair of oars. Most importantly, they put the whole thing on a floating platform to keep it from sinking into Eton Dorney Lake, the site of the 2012 Olympic rowing competitions in England (where the car is simply known as the Nissan Note).
Then they invited medal-winning competitive rowers Helen Glover, Sophie Hosking and Polly Swann to come along and row the thing, making use of the around-view monitor system to see where they were going. All in all it may not be quite as cool as the boats which Fiat made out of the 500 or Mini made out of its convertible, but it's still enough to float our boat. Check it out in the video clip and press release below and the image gallery above.
