I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime. Priced fairly. Watch lists are cool for those who are not buyers. The real person will dial my number. This is the pinnacle of the Turbo Z31 cars. This is one of those cars that you do not see to much anymore, let alone in this shape. Everyone mistakes it for far newer. It is one of the most original and unmodified Z's around ( with the exception of the tires, battery, belts, and wires ). The 45000 miles have been so softly driven you would mistake it for much newer. Great for cars shows, Z events, cruise nights, or for leisure. Do not hesitate to reach me via phone - 305-302-4617. If the car does no see auction end that is because it has been sold locally, so putting it on a "watch" list will result in a lost purchase perhaps.

Pictures shown with varying degrees of light, but nothing is faded, worn, or discolored. Also, the mat over the driver floor mat is the pics is to protect it. THERE IS NO WEAR / DAMAGE UNDERNEATH.

I have a family friend who only does door to door, insured shipping, and will do so at a very discounted rate. Let me know if you need a quote. It belongs on a car hauler.

1984 Nissan 300ZX TURBO - EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS ORIGINAL / UNMOLESTED / RUST FREE CONDITION - NO ACCIDENTS / PAINTWORK.  This is awesome 2 OWNER ( Orig. owner - Pilot for Am. Airlines ) 300 with the 5 speed, T-tops, that is 100% unmodified. It comes from a non-smoking home, always.  Have all book / records from Dealer service ( see pic ). It has been meticulously cared for, never left outside in the rain, or driven in inclement weather. For a Nissan purist, it is definitely a great piece of history. Be the envy of other 300 owners when you pull up at Nissan shows.

The Original Cherry Red paint shines like it was still 1984. It was Ziebarted when new, so no corrosion. All of the moldings, handles, window glass, striping, lettering, roof panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in super condition. The wheels have no abuse and the tires are a solid 75%. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Never run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed are a great part as to why it still looks so fabulous. The exterior is a solid 9.5+ / 10.

On the inside, the Beige cloth interior still looks, feels, and smells like new. As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered and the flooring is crisp / damage free. The door panels, t-top bags, sun shields, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are original and not marked. All of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch release, fuel door, and even the clock keeps perfect time. It still has the orig. stereo / orig. speakers that sound good. The spare tire compartment still has the orig. spare - never on the ground, inflator cannister, jack, bolts are still in place. The interior is a 9.75 / 10.

Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as you would expect a "well-oiled" machine would. The engine compartment has never even been cleaned, except for a wipe down. All of the servicing is up to date - fuel injector recall, a/c, belts, hoses, fluids all changed ( synthetic ) / maintained at the proper intervals, Timing belt and tune up were done. The Turbo engine spools out without issue, the 5 speed engages softly, and it performs on all levels. It has never been driven hard. Of course, The a/c is blistering cold and the brakes have plenty of pad left. All of the other mechanical functions are point on.

If you have been searching, most of these cars are beat up, modded, or have a ton of miles. What you pay for is what you get. One would spend twice as much restoring one, and it would not be original. A car can only be that one time. :)

Mitsubishi, Nissan will build mini EV together

Tue, Oct 20 2015

That minicar project that erstwhile competitors Nissan and Mitsubishi launched about four years ago is about to go a little more maxi. NMKV Co., the joint venture established in June 2011 by the two Japanese automakers to make minicars, is going to get more resources specifically to ease a move into the electric-vehicle sector. Specifically, Nissan, which makes the all-electric Leaf, is going to have a bigger role in the testing, design, and development of the partnership's mini EVs. A memorandum of understand between Nissan and Mitsubishi, maker of the i-MiEV, is in the works. So far, the joint-venture has sold about 500,000 gas-powered three-cylinder compact vehicles under the two automotive brands, so it must be doing something right. The first Nissan Dayz and the Mitsubishi eK Wagon models started production in 2013. Sales of the Nissan Dayz Roox and Mitsubishi eK Space, which went the higher-roof route, began early last year. Nissan and Mitsubishi started making noise about this last summer, when word came out that the little EV may be priced at less than $15,000 in Japan, quite a bit cheaper than either the Leaf or the i-MiEV over there. As with the current models, the future minicar variants will be produced at Mitsubishi's Mizushima factory in Japan. So far, the partnership would only say that details about NMKV's next-generation mini EV will be released "at a later time," so specifics like range and other performance measures will have to wait. Until then, you can take a look at NMKV's press release below. Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors and NMKV reach agreement on planning and development of next-generation minicars Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, and their joint venture NMKV Co., Ltd. today reached an agreement to continue their joint project regarding development of the next generation of current minicar models. The three companies will soon sign a memorandum of understanding. The companies aim to develop more competitive products by optimizing resource allocation and their respective roles and responsibilities. Nissan will be more deeply involved in development operations, such as design development and testing. In addition to its product planning and project development roles, NMKV will strengthen its management capabilities by adding a new department to enhance collaboration with engineering and manufacturing functions. Vehicle production is planned to continue at Mitsubishi's Mizushima Plant.

2015 Nissan Juke

Wed, Dec 10 2014

I didn't always like the Nissan Juke. When it launched in 2010, I just couldn't get over the way it looked – it came across as super weird, and kind of hideous at first blush. But I slowly warmed up to the funky little crossover/hatchback/thing, and after spending some time behind the wheel, I really learned to love Nissan's small wonder. It's a genuine hoot to drive, offering hot hatch-like thrills in a package that doesn't look like anything else on the road. The Nismo and RS models that followed only increased my ardor for the turbocharged Juke, and now, I find myself smiling whenever I see one of these little guys bombing down the road. Going into 2015, Nissan hasn't really made major changes, but there are a host of smaller improvements on hand to make it a more well-rounded vehicle than ever before. And to up the funk factor for the new year, there are a slew of customization options now available to customers through the Juke Color Studio – for better or worse. Following my first drive of the third-generation Nissan Murano in Napa Valley, I took the refreshed Juke for a spin to see if the 2015 model year improvements still make for a car that's good to drive and easy to use, while bursting with the same personality that slowly won me over in the first place. Drive Notes Powering the Juke is the same turbocharged, 1.6-liter inline-four as last year, with 188 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque on tap. I've always liked this engine – it's punchy and feels good when being worked via the 2014 model's six-speed manual transmission. There's lots of power down low, with a nice bit of boost mid-range through each gear. Altering the drive modes between Normal and Sport heighten this, and honestly, the turbo/manual setup in this front-wheel-drive Juke was kind of hilarious – a real treat. Sadly, Nissan will no longer offer the manual transmission on non-Nismo Juke models for 2015, so you're stuck with the continuously variable transmission. Bummer. In sport mode, the usually good Xtronic CVT tends to rev high and hold itself there – a tendency of older such transmissions that's seriously off-putting, especially for enthusiasts. Still, the Juke is available with a choice of either front- or all-wheel drive. The FWD Juke is fun, offering decent amounts of grip with a hint of predictable understeer. But I've always liked the four-season factor of the AWD Juke.

FCA-Renault merger faces tall odds delivering on cost-cutting promises

Thu, May 30 2019

FRANKFURT/DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Renault promise huge savings from a mega-merger, but such combinations face tall odds because of the industry's long product cycles and problems translating deal blueprints into real world success, industry veterans told Reuters. BMW's 1994 purchase of Rover, and Daimler's 1998 merger with Chrysler both made sense on paper. The companies promised to hike profits by combining vehicle platforms and engine families. Both combinations proved unworkable in reality, and were unwound. Renault and Nissan, which have been in an alliance since 1999 designed to share vehicle components, have only managed to use common vehicle platforms in 35% of Nissan's products despite an original target of 70%, according to Morgan Stanley. FCA and Renault have raised the stakes for themselves by ruling out plant closures. That increases the pressure to achieve more than $5 billion in promised annual savings from pooling procurement and research investments. The two companies have yet to fill in many of the blanks in the merger plan put forward by Fiat Chrysler. Renault's board is expected to act soon to accept the proposal, but that would lead only to a memorandum of understanding to pursue detailed operational and financial plans. A final deal and the legal combination of the two companies could take months to complete if all goes well. Pressure to cut automotive pollution is driving the latest round of consolidation. Automakers are looking at multibillion-dollar bills to develop electric and hybrid cars and cleaner internal combustion engines. Fiat Chrysler and Renault are betting they can design common electric vehicle systems, then sell more of them through their respective brands and dealer networks, cutting the cost per car. Developing all-new electric vehicles can bring more opportunities to share costs from the outset, industry experts said. "With the emergence of connected, autonomous, electric and shared vehicles, carmakers face immediate investments, so new opportunities for sharing costs have emerged," said Elmar Kades, managing director at Alix Partners. However, most electric vehicles lose money. This is a challenge for city car brands in Europe in particular. Both Renault and Fiat rely heavily on this segment for sales.
