Rare Nice Rust Free Az 1988 Nissan 300zx T Tops Ac 5 Spd Vg30 Non Turbo Drift on 2040-cars
Tucson, Arizona, United States
1988 Nissan 300ZX Coupe Up for auction a well kept 88 Nissan 300zx I nice adult owned UN MOLESTED Nissan Muscle car from the 80s era. Check out our feedback - feel comfortable buying from someone like us with GREAT large pics in our ads and GREAT FEEDBACK. Non turbo models still had plenty of power and for the most part, more reliable too. the car has always been in Az or Ca and has 0 rust Same last owner for about the last 15 yrs was an engineer for Raytheon who kept the car cleaner then most this age. Paint best I can tell is all original - the worst part is the hood and headlight bonnets, where clear coat is coming off. Maybe it was repainted at one time from age, not sure. Previous owners claim never any accidents and its all original sheetmetal. If you repainted the hood area to match you could easily drive the car as a survivor with little investment. DRIVETRAIN: Original VG30 V6 runs well and with no wierd sounds or smoke issues. Tbelt was done about 40k ago. Car just passed Az emissions too. Car comes with receipts from the last 13+ yrs of any work thats been done to it ie: alternator, water pumps etc. Oil changes done every 3k miles or less. Tires are getting old (215-65-15) so those youll want to change soon, but car still retains the stock 15" Turbo style alloy rims. Trans and clutch feel good too. INTERIOR: Super clean and well kept is in better shape then you may expect. Even for a 26 yr old car, its in nice shape. Dash has no cracks up top, and stock radio still working and intact. Carpet in the back has a few dirty spots, but again this would be a simple low cost fix if you where restoring the car. All the power options work, windows, seats etc. Dont expect NEW, but check out the pics, the wear and tear on this car is moderate for its age. Owner is a Non smoker too. We just redid the window tint too last yr. A/C has been converted to R134 and works great. SUSPENSION: All stock original down to the OE alloy rims Feels good, and some shocks where replaced but thats about all. So Im sure it will need some suspension bushings replaced soon. Once in a while you can hear a little noise coming from the front end. Tire wear is actually good and normal which is a good sign. Nothing majorily wrong to report at all. Im sure just a good set of new quality tires on the car would make a world of difference. (We also are a tire dealer, so if you want a new set of tires installed on the car before taking delivery, let us know what you want and we can price it out for you, installed.) BODY: Really nice shape for its age. A few small dents and dings here and there, but some are so small they are hard to see in the pics. Air damn is in good shape, where most are torn or ripped off. Hood and trunk struts work well. T Tops do not leak and overall, this is a great Driver as is or would be an easy car to restore back to original. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE A REAL BUYER IF YOU HAVE LOW FEEDBACK AND ARE BIDDING PLEASE EMAIL US TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE LEGIT. NO EMAIL AND WE CAN CANCEL YOUR BID EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE THE PICS BELOW SPEAK VOLUMES but Im sure I may of overlooked some stuff. Check out over 120+ pics below, be patient it may take a minute for them to all load depending on your connection. Reasonable Reserve / which can be lowered too if we want to at anytime during the auction. Bid Early and bid smart so you dont lose out !! Recharge Wrap-up: Toyota battery breakthrough, PSA's millionth BlueHDi diesel
Fri, May 6 2016Scientists at Toyota have developed battery technology that allows for higher energy density. Using material from hydrogen storage, researchers at the Toyota Research Institute of North America (TRINA) in beautiful Ann Arbor, Michigan have created an electrolyte that works well with a magnesium metal anode. Besides improving energy density for smaller, more powerful batteries, magnesium is also more stable than lithium, making it a safer alternative. Rather than guarding their secret, Toyota is sharing details of this breakthrough in order to advance the technology in hopes of an earlier mass deployment of magnesium batteries. See the video above, and read more in the press release below. Farmdrop – a sort of online farmer's market in the UK – is looking for help naming its electric delivery "vanimals." The Nissan e-NV200 vans are painted and decorated to look like cows, pigs, and chickens. While three of the vans have already been named, fans can suggest their own clever ideas for the rest of the fleet on social media. Those whose names are selected will win a month's worth of shopping on Farmdrop. Cary McCarface, anyone? Read more at the company's website. PSA has built its millionth Euro 6 BlueHDi diesel engine. The automaker builds two diesel engines – a 1.6-liter and a 2.0-liter – at its plant in Tremery, France at a rate of 7,000 engines a day. BlueHDi technology uses three different emissions control mechanisms to filter pollutants out of diesel exhaust, including an oxygen catalyst, an additive filter to remove particulate matter, and a Selective Catalytic Reduction system to reduce NOx. BlueHDi is used in all new Peugeot, Citroen, and DS Euro 6 diesel vehicles. Read more at Green Car Congress. Charging Ahead Toyota Scientists Make Breakthrough on Safer, Smarter Batteries May 04, 2016 ANN ARBOR, Mich. (May 4, 2016) -- For anyone (i.e. everyone) who's ever panicked when their mobile device chirped, "low battery," the future could be far less stressful, thanks to the advanced battery research of scientists at the Toyota Research Institute of North America (TRINA). A new breakthrough involving magnesium batteries may soon open the doors for smaller, longer-lasting batteries for everything from cars to cell phones. What's the Big Deal with Magnesium? Magnesium metal has long been theorized as a much safer and more energy-dense alternative to current lithium battery technology.
Nissan Rogue, Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 recalled for loose lug nuts
Wed, 04 Jun 2014Nissan has announced a small recall affecting 334 vehicles built just a few months back. 2014 Nissan Rogue and Pathfinder and 2014 Infiniti QX60 CUVs built between March 7 and March 10, 2014 could be susceptible to a loose lug nut on the passenger side wheels.
We shouldn't have to explain why a loose lug is a bit of an issue. Thankfully, it's also a ridiculously easy fix. Nissan obviously recommends reporting to your local dealer - and it will begin notifying owners of affected vehicles - but this is one of those rare recalls that has an easy DIY element to it.
Take a look below for a brief bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Nissan Zeod RC crash test looks like crushing the tip on a pencil
Fri, 16 May 2014Nissan has already showed us the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine 400 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, augmented by an electric motor, that sits in back of the ZEOD RC headed for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. At the ZEOD RC's other end is a carbon fiber crash structure that has to be tested against an immovable object, and Nissan has seen fit to show us that, too.
You know what to expect if you've seen a crash test before, but the really pointy nose on this car reminds us of a Faber Castell HB pencil being sent to its death. Better yet, it's in slow motion, and you can watch it below.
