Low Miles Stock Original Beautiful 5 Speed T-tops Runs/drives Like New Time Warp on 2040-cars
Hurricane, Utah, United States
One-of-a-kind, female school teacher owned (1985-2001), collector owned (2001-2013), completely stock, original, meticulously maintained, highly-optioned, great driving 1985 Nissan 300ZX with only 91,000 original miles, a perfect Carfax, and the very desirable 5 speed manual transmission. I'm a Z fan from way back who cut his teeth on 240Z's from the early 1970's. I cannot get over what a tight, smooth, civilized driver this Z is. It makes my old stuff (as cool as they were) feel like a Model T. I'm the Ebay go-to guy among my circle of friends and my buddy Brett has asked me to sell it for him.
When the collector bought it in 2001, it had less than 69,000 miles on the odometer. To bring it up to his very high standard, he immediately had the following work done whether it needed it or not: * Keyless remotes installed in doors * Four wheel alignment * Replaced right rear control arm * Replaced both front ball joints * Replaced left front tie-rod end * Flushed and changed radiator coolant * Installed new spark plug wire set * Replaced fan belts * Replaced timing belt * Replaced timing belt tensioner and spring * Installed Alpine stereo (stock stereo is included) * Replaced oil pressure sending unit * Replaced emergency brake cable * Replaced rack and pinion * Completed injector recall * Replaced air flow meter * Installed MagnaFlow exhaust system (sounds wonderful) He only drove it 14,000 miles in 12 years. At 83,000 miles he had the differential and transmission serviced with Red Line fluids. All oil changes have been done with Castrol GTX 10-40 and K&N oil filters (extra filters included). And the alternator and battery have been replaced in the last 6 months. Right now, all it needs are hood struts. I may have them by auction end. In my opinion (and I'm a hard-core car guy), this beautiful 300ZX is virtually mechanically perfect and runs and drives like a new car. It really has to be driven to be believed. And there are zero leaks underneath (see pics). The interior is excellent. Everything works properly (even the cruise control and electric mirrors). AC was converted to R134a in 2006 and works great. Doors open and close with a solid thud and no rattling. Dash is perfect with no cutting or butchery of any kind. All gauges work. And again, the original stereo (not installed) is included in the sale. Only visible flaws are two small cracks; one on the driver side door pull and one on the passenger side rear panel (see pics). And it looks like a liquid spilled long ago on the removable panel in the driver side rear corner below the tool container. I can see pretty obvious evidence of touch-up (see pics). Exterior looks equally great. It had a very high-quality respray in the original color sometime around the turn of the century. It was done shortly before the collector bought it. He kept it in a garage under a cover so the paint quality has remained excellent other than a few small road nicks on the front. T-Tops are in great shape and look like they were rarely removed. They come with removable sun shades and factory protective covers (see pics). Goodyear American Eagle tires are also in great condition and wearing evenly. Underneath, I was able to find one rust spot just in front of the driver side inner fender (see pics), which is impressive for a 29 year old Nissan. This is really a sweet Z. So many were modified and beat on that to find one in this condition (especially with the manual transmission and low miles) is a real treat. I hope she finds a home with someone who prizes her originality. Just my two cents. My name is Chris and I am happy to answer your questions. Please call me at 435-669-1470. I also have tons of pictures that show every nook and cranny in great detail. Send me your email address and I'll get them to you. And you may want to consider flying in and driving it home. That would be a blast and I'd be happy to help facilitate it. This sweet 1985 Nissan 300ZX is located in the dry, desert community of Hurricane, Utah (a little over 100 miles north of Las Vegas). Good luck and good bidding. On Feb-08-14 at 16:46:08 PST, seller added the following information: I found the original window sticker today. How cool is that? Details below... Standard equipment on this model: * Regatta Red Paint - 013 * 5 - Speed Manual Transmission * 3.0 Liter OHC Fuel Injected V-6 Engine * Air Conditioning * T - Bar Roof W/Security Locking * Power Windows and Power Door Locks * Power Assist 4 - Wheel Disc Brakes * Power Rack and Pinion Steering * Tilt Steering Column W/Memory * Alloy Wheels W/215/60R15 Tires * Digital AM/FM Cassette Stereo W/Automatic Electric Antenna * Electronic Security System * Cruise Control W/Resume Feature * Dual Electric Door Mirrors * Multi Function Vocal Warning System * Rear Window Wiper/Washer & Defroster * Independent Semi - Trailing Arm Rear Suspension * Illuminated Entry System * Bodyside Moldings * 8 - Way Adjustable Sport Seats * Leather Wrapped Sport Steering Wheel And MSRP brand new in 1985 was $17,199.00. Hope you find this info valuable. |

Nismo smartwatch concept tracks both car and driver [w/videos]
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Whether you agree or not, this writer believes that every supercar needs a wristwatch to go with it. Though the Nissan GT-R has been lacking in this one regard, Nissan is keen to correct that wrong. But while most of these automotive-inspired timepieces are decidedly mechanical, Nissan has gone a suitably different direction in creating its new Nismo watch concept.
The electronic smartwatch connects driver, car, watch and phone in a sleek design. The device allows drivers to monitor such parameters as the car's average speed and fuel consumption, access performance telematics on the track, monitor their own heart rate and interface with their smartphone via Bluetooth and a dedicated app. The watch can even tell the driver when it's time to bring his car in for scheduled maintenance, post lap times and such to popular social media platforms, and of course, you know - literally give you the time of day.
Though still in the concept phase, Nissan seems keen to bring this to market, has even gone so far as to design the packaging - made of tire rubber scraped off the track - and done it up in three colors: red, white or black. In the meantime Nismo will be showcasing the smartwatch concept at the Frankfurt show this week, where we hope to get a glimpse up close, but you can delve into the press release and the pair of videos below.
Infiniti ESQ is a Chinese Nissan Juke Nismo
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Take a Nissan Juke Nismo, replace all of its suede and Alcantara interior with leather and cross-stitching, replace all of its badging with the words "Infiniti ESQ," and boom! You've got a made-for-China crossover aimed at "the new millennials." Infiniti teased the coming of the ESQ last month, and today, we're treated to pictures taking it in from various toothsome angles.
Whippersnappers with anywhere from 200,000 yuan ($33,507 USD) to 300,000 yuan to spend will get the same 197 horsepower, 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, sport-tuned CVT and all-wheel drive that we know in the Juke Nismo. We haven't tracked down any other official information about it yet, but potential buyers will get their first look at it during the Chengdu Motor Show that opens later this month, where it will share market-specific notes with Infiniti Q50 L.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
