84 Nissan 300 Zx Anniversary on 2040-cars
Omaha, Nebraska, United States
for sale my 84 300ZX anniversary. I owned it for 13 years and most of the 13 years car has been stored in a garage waiting for the day to restore it completely but that day really never came. I started doing some work when I first bought the car but few months later I came across an 86 Turbo that became my main project so the Anniversary went into storage. so now 13 plus years later she is out of storage and up for sale due to a divorce. when I got car out of storage a flat bed tow truck took it to my mechanic, there he changed all fluids and did a complete timing belt job all seals and gaskets, belts, water pump, ets...all Nissan parts NOT aftermarket parts. once he was done he fired up the car took it for a test drive and when he got back he looked the car over front to back he discovered the heater core was leaking, I didn't want to pay for that job since I had to fork out a hefty amount for all the work mentioned above so I asked him to bi pass the heater core. to tell you more about the car step by step I will start with the ENGINE, solid, runs great. after so many years stored once the mechanic finished the T-belt job and all the other stuff the car fired like a new car, idles great and sounds great. TRANNY, 5 speed shifts very smooth. no problem with tranny or clutch. SUSPENSION, bone stock, no aftermarket parts. car rides great in city and on highway. INTERIOR, as you can see in pictures interior is great condition for being 30 years old! the seats are great. I actually pulled the seats out and wrapped them in plastic and stored them in my basement so they weren't in the car during the time it was in storage, that's why they have no tares or any type of splitting in the leather (or vinyl actually Nissan never used actual leather) BODY, solid, no rust. paint is great for the age of the car, in fact it looks like a new car once its washed and polished, it really is that nice. A/C, cold as Ice works great STEREO, works well, cassette player even works! Antenna doesn't go up and down anymore it just makes a sound like its working. the Ex owner installed a 6 disk CD changer in the back and that works also. MILES, the miles on the car 97373 and that is ACTUAL up to the second it was stored, as I mentioned after taken out of storage nothing on the cluster is working, mechanic took it for 3-5 miles drive, I drove it home after that (about 7 to 8 miles) and its been parked since since at that time I didn't have up to date plates on it! and since I never renewed the plates for almost 6 years I couldn't drive it around, so the miles are accurate plus 15-20 miles over the 97373 on odometer. TIRES, tires are good. the entire time it was stored I had a jack in the front and another under the back side keeping weight off the tires, the tires were not completely off the ground but there was not much weight on them. tires have a plenty of tread left. now the PROBLEMS... 1- as I mentioned before the major issue right now is the heater core, needs to be replaced. 2- the digital dash dose not work! when I put the car away everything was working, 11 years in storage and nothing is working! nothing! so its either the actual cluster or the power supply unit. 3- the seat shakers are not working anymore, again before car was stored they were working perfect! not sure if its a fuse or what exactly. other than that the car needs a good cleaning job, little TLC and you'll have yourself a super nice Anniversary. this is a great project car for someone who loves Z31's. original. this is a car that you can drive right away. I really wish I wasn't selling it especially after all these years but if you've been through a nasty divorce you understand why I'm selling it! sadly it has to go. im sure I am forgetting something, but if you think of something I missed please feel free to ask. if you are around the Omaha area and you want to take a look at the car please feel free to email me we will set something up. if you've seen this car listed before you're not seeing things, I listed it last Sunday, I left town on Wed and at that time auction was still up but then apparently I listed it in the wrong section so ebay deleted my auction, I was out of town til yesterday and I had no clue it was deleted! so that's why its being relisted. I had it listed by mistake under Auto>PARTS not ebay Auto section! they didn't like that too much! as for shipping, I WILL NOT SHIP this car anywhere, buyer WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICK UP and payment is due in full then. thank you for looking and please send me any questions you have, thanks |

2013 Nissan Pathfinder: January 2013
Wed, 23 Jan 2013We've now had our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder for about a month, and some impressions are starting to solidify, while others remain contentious among the team. Most notable among those contentious items is our Pathfinder's paint color, which was chosen by vote among the Autoblog team.
Dubbed Mocha Stone, it beat out Cayenne Red by a single vote. I was a Mocha Stone supporter and like it even more in person than on Nissan's configurator. It's a mature choice that can be comfortably placed in the grouping of silver, white and gray tones buyers routinely choose most often over all the colors of the rainbow offered on cars these days for the sake of attention. Staunch opponents of Mocha Stone on the team remain unswayed. Democracy is a difficult process, people.
Nissan expands US EV test market for e-NV200 to Portland
Sat, Jun 14 2014Of course, it's going to be Portland. Oregon's largest city, known for its green-friendly vibe and policies, will be where Nissan will next test of its all-electric e-NV200 cargo van. And we hope those vans have cup holders for the inevitable java. The Japanese automaker is working with local utility company Portland General Electric (PGE) on a six-week trial program. Nissan and PGE will record data to better measure how the concept of battery-powered driving works within the local services network. The location makes sense, as Portland is one of the five best-selling US cities when it comes to sales of the Nissan Leaf, which shares its powertrain with the e-NV200. Nissan kicked off its "No Charge to Charge" free-charging program for new Leaf owners in April. Nissan, which had already been testing the e-NV200 with FedEx in Germany, Japan and Singapore as of late last year, said at the Washington Auto Show in January that it would start testing the electric van in the Washington, DC, area. Nissan said at the time that it helped install about 570 fast-charging CHAdeMO chargers throughout the US since last year, including 200 in December alone. Check out Nissan's press release about the Portland project below. LEADING EV MARKET PORTLAND BECOMES TEST BED FOR NISSAN E-NV200 ELECTRIC COMMERCIAL VEHICLE PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland, already a top breeding ground for electric vehicle (EV) sales, is now the proving ground for Nissan's prototype electric commercial vehicle – the Nissan e-NV200. Nissan is working in collaboration with Portland General Electric (PGE) on a six-week trial to help determine the viability of an electric commercial vehicle in the U.S market. PGE has assigned the e-NV200 into its fleet of vehicles with an underground crew, replacing a larger, diesel-powered van. "Oregon has been a top five market for Nissan LEAF sales in the U.S. due to proactive policies at the state level to encourage EV adoption, as well as robust charging infrastructure championed by the state and others like PGE," said Toby Perry, Nissan's director of EV Marketing in the U.S. "If we determine that e-NV200 fits into the U.S. commercial vehicle market, we expect that Portland would be a leading driver for sales as well." This year, Nissan is deploying two e-NV200 prototypes with companies such as PGE and FedEx in top U.S EV markets including California, Georgia, Oregon and Washington, D.C.
Infiniti replaces Americas chief
Wed, Feb 18 2015The Nissan-Renault alliance has been something of a revolving door for high-level executives of late, and the latest shakeup comes at its luxury unit, Infiniti, where Michael Bartsch (shown above) has been replaced as vice president of its Americas division by Randy Parker. Bartsch had a short tenure – he only took the helm in September 2013. In a press release, Infiniti said he was leaving to "pursue other interests." Bartsch, a veteran of more than 30 years in the auto industry, came to Infiniti from Porsche. Parker comes from within the Nissan empire, formerly heading up the company's sprawling west region, including its marketing, distribution and dealer network. Before that, he served stints at GMAC and General Motors. Bartsch isn't alone in leaving Renault-Nissan recently. Ex-Renault COO Carlos Tavares took the top spot at Peugeot, Infiniti boss Johan de Nysschen left for Cadillac and Nissan executive vice president Andy Palmer took over at Aston Martin. Scroll down for the full press release from Infiniti.
