1995 300ZX Twin Turbo
37,000 Mile Unmolested Original - Rare Find!!
When I was a kid I had an exact replica model of this very car sitting on the shelf in my room hoping that some day
it would turn into a real car. The day recently came when my dream became reality and this car showed up for
sale in my own town! I rushed out to buy it and when I brought it home I found out that my wife and 2 girls
didn't share my same dream. "Where are we all going to sit?" I guess my dream wasn't meant to be but I am
pretty sure that some of you might have the same dream so here's your car!
The Story - It was owned by a 75 year old man who recently passed away and the car was sold by his daughter. It
was his pride and joy and sat in his climate controlled garage under a cover only to be brought out on sunny days.
He used a seat cover for the driver's seat so there is no wear on it and no one sat in the passengers seat. You
couldn't ask for a better life than that for one of these rare cars since most of these beauties have been wrecked
or modified by kids.
This car is an Automatic but after doing the research it sounds like more people like the automatic Twin Turbo's
because they shift quicker and hold the boost levels and are quicker than a 5 speed.
The 1995's are the last of the best years of the 300zx as most don't like the 96's. Lots of great updates in the
94-95 years. Gone is the ugly tweed interior which has been replaced by a nice suede material. It also has
factory keyless entry with Power Windows and Locks for a more modern upgrade. Also gone is the short rubber
spoiler that would rot off and replaced by a new taller and much better looking spoiler.
Only 707 Turbo Coupes were made in 1995 compared to 6,896 in 1990 and 6,150 in 1991 making this one of the rarest
of the rare!
Finished in the most iconic color scheme in Bright Red with Black Leather - you couldn't get a better optioned
300zx unless you ordered it from the factory.
Tires were new last week as well as battery and tune up.
Condition - I never like to over-detail cars because it looks like you are hiding something. I have done no
reconditioning to this car. It's exactly how it came out of the garage (except I put on new factory OEM decals on
the rear hatch as the old ones were peeling).
It has 3 small door dings on the drivers rear quarter that would be easily removed by PDR.
The front spoiler has the signature crack in it.
There are 3 small areas where the previous owner touched up some chips and peels.
Various small flecks in the front bumper from road debris.
Please keep in mind that this is a 21 year old car so it's not new but you would never guess it by looking at it.
I don't know what else to say about it.
My Dream Loss is Your Gain. I hope it goes to a good home.
The Z32 chassis 300zx Twin Turbo was on Car and Drivers Top 10 Best Car list for all 7 years it was in production.
The Z32 was also awarded the Motor Trend "Car of the Year" award. The 300zx easily rose to defeat its competitors
of the time including the Chevrolet Corvette Z51, FD Mazda Rx-7, Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4, Acura NSX, Dodge Viper,
993/968 Porsche Carrera 911 and even fought against the MKIV Toyota Supra Turbo with success. This 300 still stands
out over most sports car of today. You do not have to take my word for it, in 2014 AutoWeek wrote an article titled
"25 years later, the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo is still dreamworthy." In 2010 GQ Magazine labeled the 300ZX in the
"Top 20 Stylish Cars Over the Past 50 Years." In 2006 Automobile Magazine listed the 300ZX z32 in the "20 Greatest
Cars in the Past 20 Years."

Carlos Ghosn projects Renault-Nissan for #3 position by 2018
Tue, Mar 3 2015As the chief executive of both Renault and Nissan, Carlos Ghosn is one of the most powerful executives in the automotive industry. But at 60, he'll have to retire sooner than later: he's got three and a half years left on his contract at Renault, which mandates retirement by 65. But before his time is up, he intends to leave the Renault-Nissan Alliance among the top three automakers in the world. Currently the combined sales of Nissan, Renault and its various brands (including Dacia, Datsun and Infiniti) make the alliance the fourth largest carmaker globally, trailing behind Toyota, Volkswagen and General Motors, but ahead of Hyundai, Ford, Fiat Chrysler and Honda. But Ghosn sees the alliance's sales (and global market share) increasing in the next three years. Speaking with Automotive News Europe, Ghosn projected confidently that the alliance will hit the number three spot by 2018 – just three years from now. To get there, Ghosn knows that Nissan and Infiniti will need to increase their combined market share to 10 percent in the United States, growing around 2 to 3 percent each year between now and 2018. The challenge is that much more evident in North America where only half of the alliance participates. But it's not all about America. Ghosn also the Chinese market as equally vital to the alliance's success and that of its constituent automakers, projecting continued growth in China for the foreseeable future. He's also banked heavily on the Russian market, which may have dipped now, but in Ghosn's view is bound to recover. Nissan working on something radical for Le Mans
Tue, 17 Dec 2013With Porsche joining Audi and Toyota at the front of the LMP1 grid at Le Mans next year, Nissan is the next to be throwing its hat (and considerable R&D budget) into the proverbial ring. But only if it's allowed to do something radically different, according to the latest report in Car magazine.
Just what that means remains to be seen, but Nissan is reportedly in active discussions with the ACO (the body that governs the race) to see how far it can stretch the regulations. The ACO has taken an intriguingly different approach to equalizing performance, mandating the maximum amount of energy that can be used per lap instead of telling teams what kind of engines they can use. That's how Porsche is entering with a four-cylinder engine, Toyota with a V8 and Audi with a diesel six. But when it comes to the shape of the car itself, the rules are considerably more restrictive.
Unfortunately the rules would prohibit Nissan fielding the ZEOD RC (with its narrow front track) in the LMP1 class, relegating it instead to the Garage 56 slot for experimental racers (which the DeltaWing filled before). And the realities of endurance racing would effectively prohibit anyone from fielding an all-electric racer. Within those confines, though, Nissan is eager to find enough wiggle room to make something both visually and technically different from other LMPs. And if the ACO won't let it do so at Le Mans, it could turn to another race or series (like the Nürburgring 24) that would.
Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet being phased out, no replacement planned
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Over the years, I've been given many nicknames - a few of them have even been repeatable around small children. One such moniker is "Mr. Other Makes," a title given to me because of my predilection for sifting through eBay Motors seeking out automotive misfits and orphans. I've got a soft spot for the dreamers and automakers who take big chances on beancounter-enraging flights of fancy.
I count Nissan among that bunch, because for every safe-as-houses Altima or Sentra that rolls out of its factory gates, the Japanese automaker has often secreted away a little funding for white-space niche vehicles that any sane person wouldn't expect to pencil out. Some, like the Juke, have proven to be massive hits. Others, like the GT-R, have become icons. And then there are models like the Murano CrossCabriolet, a segment-bending mashup the likes of which we haven't seen since the AMC Eagle Sundancer.
Yesterday, upon revealing the new third-generation Murano ahead of its New York Auto Show debut, we reported "the writing appears to be on the wall" for the midsize crossover's novel convertible cousin. It appears we were right. Autoblog can now confirm that the CrossCabriolet will die at the end of this model year, and our source at Nissan tells us unequivocally, "there is no plan for a next-generation Murano CC."
