For Sale is a 1991 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo.  It's CLEAN inside/outside.  5 speed manual with power windows, leather seats, T-tops, cruise control and Ice cold A/c that has already been converted and charged.  Heat works good too.  The T-Tops have removable sun shades with them and the stock bags to store them in.  This particular model year also has hydraulic rear-wheel turning assist or HICAS which works perfectly. Also has two suspension modes: touring and sport.  Modes are adjusted by a switch on the center console.  Car has been babied and looked after by previous owner and myself.  I have not used the car as a daily driver.  I drive it maybe once a week and never raced/abused it.   Only thing that is not perfect with the car is a few minor stone flecks here and there from normal driving and a small chip in the rear right tail light (see picture).  No big dents or major scrapes of any sort.  This car has a bit of the usual paint cracking/bubbling problems that happen with the stock Styrofoam wing.  I have included pictures so you can see how minimal it is.  I would say paint is a 8 out of 10.  Also, the cigarette lighter doesn't work (I have a wire hooked up to charge IPhones that take a lightning cable).  The car has a mint set of 17'' Rota-Grid rims with brand new tires that have less than 1000 miles on them.  Oil change about 250 miles ago.  Car has been maintained and looked after regularly.  Only front bumper has been resprayed, all else is stock paint.  Stock bumper was starting to chip and crack so I had it replaced with a stock urethane version.  It was fitted and painted by a professional so it will look better and last longer without problems.  Everything works as it should with this car.  Car is basically bone stock with only a few minor upgrades.  Everything has been properly maintained.  Upgrades are as follows : Pop Charger air intake, vented nose and fog lights for reduced turbo lag and speedier turbo response, oversized radiator with giant electric fan, touchscreen tv/dvd/cd player with bose sound system and bass tube and Rear-View Camera.  Has an Aux wire to connect to your phone.  Payed a lot to have the touch screen t.v. installed so it looks clean and stock.  Car starts and runs beautifully.  It drives great.  Original owner blew up the motor around 50,000 miles while car was under warranty and Nissan replaced with a brand new 0 mile stock motor.  That motor has been in the car without any issues for 58,000 miles.  So the car has about 108,xxx and the motor is at 58,xxx.  This wasn't some conversion job or backyard mechanic thing, everything was done by the factory to stock specifications.  I never planned to sell this car and had always wanted one, but with a baby on the way it doesn't make much sense to have a two-seater anymore.  Take a look at the pictures and you can see how clean the car is for yourself.  Its as nice on the outside as it is on the inside.  No check engine lights.  It has a clean MA title and is currently registered and on the road.  This car will have no problems passing any inspections.

Buyer will be responsible for shipping.  Or you can come pick it up and drive it anywhere you would like worry-free.  I will be available to help load the car for transport if necessary.  Please serious bidders only.  Full payment due within 3 days of auctions end.  Car will not be released until funds are cleared.  I can accept payment via wire transfer, cash or paypal.  Please don't ask me to trade.  Thanks for viewing!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!

Recharge Wrap-up: BMW Next 100 video, how Nissan "tops off" battery

Mon, Mar 14 2016

BMW explains the ideas behind its Vision Next 100 concept car that debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. As BMW celebrates its 100th birthday, it wants to look into the future rather than dwell on its past. This involves the digital and analog worlds working together "to create a seamless experience." Hence the "live geometry," wherein physical parts of the car move to translate digital information to the driver. The video also gets into the future of driving modes, like "Ease," for more autonomous driving, and "Boost," for when the driver wants to take control to enjoy some motoring the good, old-fashioned way. Check out the video above, and read more from Hybrid Cars. Nissan has managed to find a way to boost the range of EV batteries inspired by pouring a glass of beer. The automaker has found that after a full charge, one can wait a few minutes for subsequent "minicharges" to "top off" the battery. The voltage dips slightly, much as the foam does on a pint of beer, allowing the battery to accept some more juice. The result is an extra 0.7 percent of energy, which could mean just enough extra range to reach the next charging station. Read more from Automotive News. Hyundai has delivered its first Tucson Fuel Cell in Ontario, Canada. The lucky recipient is Joseph Cargnelli, Chief Technology Officer of Hydrogenics Corporation, a company based on hydrogen technology. The expansion into Ontario follows Hyundai's trial of six Tucson Fuel Cell vehicles in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Read more at Green Car Congress. Toyota has entered a public-private partnership to test an end-to-end hydrogen supply chain in Japan. The collaboration with the Kanagawa Prefectural Government, the municipal governments of the cities of Yokohama and Kawasaki and three private companies to create renewable hydrogen to power forklifts. It will use wind energy to electrolyze hydrogen, which will then be shipped to a factory, a vegetable and fruit market and two warehouses to be used in the fuel cell-powered vehicles. This supply chain is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 80 percent compared to traditionally fueled forklifts. Read more from Toyota. Porsche 911 GT3 dukes it out with MP4-12C on track and GT-R on spectacular roads

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been a favorite among auto journalists and car enthusiasts alike, but with the introduction of the new 991-generation GT3, which is the first GT3 with electric power steering and no manual gearbox option, how does it stack up to the competition from McLaren and Nissan?
Evo's Jethro Bovingdon attempts to answer that question by pitting the rear-engine Porsche against the mid-engine McLaren MP4-12C on a racetrack and the front-engine, all-wheel-drive Nissan GT-R on some amazing, twisty European back roads. We won't give away the victor of either comparison, but we will say that, in Evo's test, the McLaren's 141-horsepower advantage doesn't give it as much of an edge over the Porsche on a racetrack as one might think, and the lack of a manual gearbox and the inclusion of electric power steering on the GT3 isn't detrimental to enjoying the car on a back road.
Watch the video below to find out which car Bovingdon prefers on road and track - we think you'll be happy to see him drift around turns every chance he gets.

Nissan Friend-Me Concept is cooler than its name

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

Here is the Nissan Friend-Me, a swoopy - and let us emphasize that word "swoopy" - sedan-with-a-hatchback developed specifically for Chinese youth in their mid-twenties, the ones born in the '80s mainly bereft of siblings due to China's one-child policy. The exterior is meant to be most imposing at night, when Nissan figures these single children will be getting together with their friends. The sheetmetal looks like it was shaped by waves, and the details like lighting and vent openings could have been penned on Krypton.
The real show is inside, where peers are made equal and can interact with one another via the "oracle stone." The concept is that instead of a driver and three passengers, everyone gets access to the same information and the ability to alter the ambiance of the car - dash readouts are provided for all of the occupants, and anyone can move content from their phones to the in-car screens to be shared throughout. As Nissan says, it's the end of anyone being a "music dictator."
Designed by Nissan Design China for a specific market-within-a-market estimated to contain 240 million potential buyers, Nissan says the wishes of these customers and the ideas in this car could shape automotive offerings for decades to come. So read all about it in the press release below and take some long virtual looks in the galleries of high-res photos.
