I am offering for sale my 1991 300zx Twin Turbo 5sp in Super White. Car has been garaged kept since it rolled off the show room floor in 1991 and meticulously taken care of by the previous owners and myself. The car needs nothing but a true enthusiast who is going to enjoy this clean and rare gem. Clear title, clean Carfax, no accidents, no leaks, no rust, no smoke. Recently had the car professionally detailed by UBER detailing, which included a 2 stage paint correction and full interior detail. The gentleman did an amazing job restoring the paint and bringing it back to life. Some pics of the detail can be seen on his facebook page.
With all my weekend cars, I only drive them on nice weekends and to local car shows & events. A couple minor things that may need to be addressed. The stock radio and cd player have been acting up as of late. Sometimes when the radio is turned on it shuts itself off. I rarely use a radio so I didn't feel the need to fix it. Also the drivers door lock actuator makes a buzzing noise when the doors are locked. It didn't bother me enough to fix. I'm also including a set of set of stock wheels with brand new Kuhmo Escta Tires, wooden ramps, used Z1 hard pipe kit with t-bolt clamps, and a close to complete molding kit. If you have any questions about the car please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking! Watch this 800-hp Nissan Juke-R savage the 'Ring
Fri, 29 Aug 2014The concept of the 545-horsepower Nissan Juke-R that stuffs the drivetrain of a GT-R into a subcompact crossover is already insane, but Russian company Shpilli Villi Engineering has taken things even further with their own crazy riff on the idea. Its version tunes the engine up to a claimed 800 horsepower, plus a shot of nitrous for an extra 200 hp to put it (way) over the top. Naturally, a number of other upgrades have been exacted in an effort to try and keep the custom Juke's shiny side up and the driveline internals from spontaneously rearranging themselves. Those changes include a beefed-up switchable all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive layout and revised suspension.
Last year, you may recall that we saw an earlier version of Shpilli Villi Engineering's insanity testing with a mere 700 hp in a one-mile, standing drag race against a Bugatti Veyron. In that state of tune, the Juke-R lost, but by less than a hundredth of a second. Now, owner and racer Vladimir Ulanov has brought his madness to the Nürburgring Nordschleife to see how it does around a damp lap of the famous track.
It looks like 800 hp and a moist track might be almost too much for this Juke to handle, because Ulanov gets very loose at several points during the lap. Understandably, his passenger seems suitably impressed and possibly a little freaked out at the end. See what you think of this craziness by watching the video.
This is Nissan's 2014 Detroit Auto Show concept
Tue, 20 Aug 2013During a media event in Los Angeles today, Nissan flashed a few images of a new concept car that will be unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January. According to Shiro Nakamura, senior vice president and chief creative officer of design and brand management at Nissan, this unnamed concept has a "very strong design signature" and shows "[Nissan's] future design direction."
It's certainly quite sleek, this concept, yet specific elements like the front fascia and taillamps are evolutionary steps from what we're seeing on some of Nissan's newest products. Those rear lamps look like sleeker versions of what the Sentra wears, and that grille appears to be a more stylized version of what the next-generation Rogue has been seen sporting.
As for what, exactly, this concept previews, that's still up in the air, though our best guess is that it hints at a Maxima successor. After all, Nissan did confirm to us that a new Maxima is currently in development, and showing this concept in early 2014 lines up with our predictions that the next-generation sedan should arrive in time for the 2015 model year.
2013 Nissan Pathfinder: January 2013
Wed, 23 Jan 2013We've now had our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder for about a month, and some impressions are starting to solidify, while others remain contentious among the team. Most notable among those contentious items is our Pathfinder's paint color, which was chosen by vote among the Autoblog team.
Dubbed Mocha Stone, it beat out Cayenne Red by a single vote. I was a Mocha Stone supporter and like it even more in person than on Nissan's configurator. It's a mature choice that can be comfortably placed in the grouping of silver, white and gray tones buyers routinely choose most often over all the colors of the rainbow offered on cars these days for the sake of attention. Staunch opponents of Mocha Stone on the team remain unswayed. Democracy is a difficult process, people.
