1990 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo on 2040-cars
Hillsville, Virginia, United States
YOU ARE BIDDING ON A COLLECTOR'S DREAM CAR, THESE CARS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND AS YEARS GO BY. THEY SOLD FOR $38,000 NEW SO THAT TELLS YOU FROM THE BEGINNING THEY WERE GONNA BE SOMETHING TO KEEP. THIS ONE HAS A NEW ENGINE OUT OF A 1996 300ZX TT WITH 26,000 MILES ON IT and TRANSMISSION. IT IS A ACTUAL TT THE ORIGINAL MOTOR BLEW YEARS AGO. THE INTERIOR WAS PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED TO NEW ALL OEP PARTS USED. IT HAS A FIBERGLASS SPEAKERBOX WITH 15' MTX BLACK FACE SPEAKERS AND WAS BUILT VERY WELL.. THAT WAS A $1500 VALUE. THE EXTERIOR COULD USE A LITTLE BIT OF WORK WHERE THERE IS ONE DENT AS SEEN IN THE PICTURES, WOULDNT BE HARD TO FIX. THE ONLY KNOWN ISSUES IT HAS, IT NEEDS A EXHAUST LEAK REPAIRED, NEW TIRES AND PROBABLY BRAKES. THE WINDSHIELD ALSO HAS A CRACK ON THE BOTTOM. EVERYTHING OPERATES AS SHOULD AND IS MECHANICALLY SOUND. WISH I HAD THE TIME AND MONEY TO INVEST TO MAKE THIS ONE WELL WORTH OVER $10,000 LIKE MANY ARE.. YOU CAN GET THIS ONE AT A FRACTION OF THE WORTH AND PUT A LITTLE TLC IN IT AND HAVE A EXCELLENT COLLECTIBLE FOR YOUR OWN. Under Title description I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW IT HAS A NON ACTUAL MILEAGE TITLE DUE TO THE ENGINE REPLACEMENT AFTERWHICH THE ODOMETER WAS NOT FUNCTIONING, FOR MAYBE 400 MILES. WE HAD IT FIXED SOON AFTER THAT BUT THE LOCAL GARAGE REPORTED THE MILEAGE INDIFFERENCE AT TIME OF INSPECTION SO THAT IS WHY IT IS CONSIDERED NOT ACTUAL.

Ghosn predicts autonomous cars on the roads by 2018, if laws allow
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Things appear to be going well inside Nissan's autonomous vehicle development program. Until now, the automaker believed that self-driving cars would be ready for major markets like the US by 2020. However, Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn is now speeding up that prediction to 2018 in some places, assuming that local laws are ready to accept the computer-controlled vehicles.
"The problem isn't technology, it's legislation, and the whole question of responsibility that goes with these cars moving around," said Ghosn in a speech in France recorded by Reuters. He predicted that the first sales could begin in France, Japan and the US by 2018 and expand elsewhere in 2020.
The alliance has been among the forefront of automakers working on self-driving cars. Nissan has an autonomous Leaf (pictured above) test car that is licensed to drive on Japanese roads. Renault showed off an version of its Zoe EV earlier this year called the Next Two, that could pilot itself at speeds up to 18 miles per hour, and that the company predicted would be ready by 2020.
Tesla, BMW and Nissan meeting in secret to discuss charging tech
Tue, Jun 17 2014It's interesting what's happening in the electric vehicle field. It used to be that BMW and Tesla were competitors. Then – and of course they're still competing, especially in the public mind – they were working together on ... something. Maybe. And now, the Financial Times reports that the two luxury automakers are meeting with Nissan. Again, maybe. The scuttlebutt is that the three companies are interested in working together on something to do with charging electric vehicles, potentially a global recharging standard. Currently, when it comes to fast charging, BMW uses the SAE Combo standard, Nissan uses CHAdeMO and Tesla uses its own Superchargers. The meeting was prompted by Tesla opening of all of its patents the other day, FT says. Speaking during the recent annual shareholder meeting, Musk said he was "more than happy to have other manufacturers" use Tesla's Superchargers but that, "there is no other electric car that can accept anything close to 135 kilowatts." Let's assume the technical hurdle can be overcome. With any potential patent/licensing problems out of the way, these discussions with BMW and Nissan might be revolving around this other angle that Musk mentioned: "They (other automakers) just have to contribute to the capital cost, so figure out what percentage of the time are their cars using the Supercharger network and then they can make a contribution proportionate to their customer usage of the Supercharger network." That certainly sounds like something that could take some time to figure out. Here are the best-selling cars and trucks from January 2015
Fri, Feb 6 2015Every month, Autoblog slogs through all the sales figures reported by automakers that do business in the United States, and, after a little bit of sorting, we put it into an easy-to-read chart in an attempt to make it as easy as possible to follow the ins and outs of sales and shipments. But that only covers the brands themselves, not the individual models they sell. And we think you'd all be interested in knowing which vehicles beat their rivals in sales from month to month, so we've put together this handy gallery to keep you in the know. While the leader of the pack may not come as much of a surprise, the order that the top ten finishes in changes frequently – due to automaker deals, the price of gas, etc. – and we've included some statistics to help you see how their current performance stacks up to month's past.
