1990 Nissan 300zx Former Police/dare/show Car! No Reserve! 9-11 Tribute on 2040-cars
East Haven, Connecticut, United States
Let me start by saying I have a clean Connecticut Title for this car- see picture- No discrepencies on title. You are bidding on a 1990 Nissan 300ZX former police/show/DARE car! This car is not 2+2 it is a 2 seater. It is a 5spd manual trans with leather, power driver seat, CD, Chrome aftermarket rims with 17in Pirelli tires. Factory mats are still in good shape, leather has no rips. Purchased this car at a police auction from the town that I live in. The car was confiscated from a stolen theft ring and turned into a police car and used for the school DARE program until budgets cuts did away with program. It also has a 9-11 tribute on it. All graphics are air brushed, the ones on the glass are decals. Car has 57,000 original miles. Light bar was removed but brackets are still there. Car was brought to car shows for 9-11 tribute. I do not want to mislead anyone it is not showroom condition! But it is a nice car with minor defects, but no body damage. Car was painted about 7 yrs ago and cost the tax payers of East Haven $8500. The paint job is called Camillian and changed color in the sunlight. This was the police dept pride and joy until budget cuts did away with the DARE program and they had to sell the car. Car runs and drives but does have a misfire due to 3 bad injectors. I already had it checked out by my mechanic I priced the injectors on EBAY they are about $50 each and he was going to charge me $250 to take the plenum off and change them but I did not have the time. So I am selling the car with this issue. Auto check states this car is salvaged and its a 2+2 but I have a clean CT title in my name and its a 2 seater! If you have any questions or concerns please call me, Jeff 203 987 7124. Happy Bidding. If you have no EBAY transactions Im sorry but I will have EBAY delete them unless you contact me first before bidding. Highest bidder wins car- no reserve! Whoever the highest bidder is I want deposit of $500 immediately after auction and full payment within 48 hours.

Chinese-designed Nissan Lannia Concept debuts in Beijing
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Nissan showed off a stylish new concept car to the assembled crowds of media at the Beijing Motor Show. The Lannia Concept is... well, it's not that easy to describe. It's kind of a sedan, only it looks a bit like a fastback from the rear. But for a twist, it has an ever-so-small rear deck. Regardless of how we'd classify it, it's a seriously sharp piece of styling, thanks to its unique shape and flowing character lines.
If the Lannia's styling appears familiar, it's because we've sort of seen it before. There's more than a little bit of inspiration from the Friend-Me Concept. The Lannia's overall shape is similar to the Friend-Me, while both the front and rear clips look decidedly more production ready. Considering this evolution, we shouldn't rule out a production Lannia in the next few years. And if Nissan's product boss, Andy Palmer is any indication, the new model might not be limited to China.
"It was designed by Chinese, built by Chinese for the Chinese people, and ultimately, for the world," Palmer said in a statement. If Nissan can keep this sharp styling, this could prove a compelling buy in a number of markets.
Nissan's big price cuts threatening others' profits
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Bloomberg reports Nissan may be keeping the competition up at night even more than normal. The Japanese automaker recently cut prices on seven of its models and bolstered incentive offerings in an attempt to gain market share in the US, and the strategy is working. Last month saw the company's sales leap by 25 percent, which is nearly triple the industry average. Nissan is currently taking advantage of the weak yen - Japanese currency has fallen by 15 percent against the dollar, which has given the automaker around $1,500 per car to use to either add features or cut prices. Some analysts are calling the policy "scorched earth."
Meanwhile, American automakers like Ford, General Motors and Chrysler are doing their best to keep from sliding back into old bad habits. The Detroit Three have steadily moved away from a discount and incentive strategy to bring in new buyers since the 2009 recession. Those short-sighted tactics helped paved the way for bankruptcy at both GM and Chrysler. As Bloomberg reports, the resolve to stay away from big discounts may falter if Toyota begins using similar tactics.
2014 Nissan Dayz Roox is the littlest high-roof van you ever did see
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Even average production cars from Japan often seem very conceptual to US eyes. Throw in typical, nonsensical-quasi-English-words name like "Dayz Roox" and you'd be forgiven for thinking this Nissan box on wheels was still a designer's dream. But the fact is that the Nissan Dayz is a model currently on sale, and this Roox version is the latest take on the micro-van, which is a popular segment in Japan.
In fact, this generation of Dayz is the first minicar that Nissan has developed completely in-house, and the thing has been selling astoundingly well in its first stint on the market (30k units in month one month, says Nissan). So it's unsurprising that the company is looking to expand the range with a model that is more fully featured.
The Roox (we have no clue as to where that name came from, or what it means) would appear to be a high-roof version of the three-cylinder Dayz minicar - in fact Nissan goes so far as to call it an "Impressive Super Height Wagon." Features like automatic sliding doors, Around View Monitor and UV-insulated glass are all luxuries in kei-class car. The press release also specifies that the Roox is tall enough to swallow a 27-inch bicycle.
