Birmingham, Alabama, United States
1987 Nissan 300ZX Turbo...This is a Great Car..Near Mint Condition with Super Low Miles ..only 70,479..Loaded out with every option.Red with Grey Leather .Power everthing with Digital Dash..Super Ice Cold AC that Blows Very Strong..I've had several 300Z's & this is the best AC I've ever had in one. I bought the Car from a Dealership in Huntsville AL. The Original or 2nd owner had traded it in with two other 300zx cars for a new 370Z. The Title that I have was issued on 6/15/1988 Alabama Title. The Car has been repainted at some point in it's history but I don't know the Date. It was a very Good job I will say that. It does have one Blemish on the Passengers right front quarter--I'v tried to show it in the pictures but it's difficult. It looks like at some time the Battery may have exploded & Battery acid ruined the paint in that area. At first it looks like some spilled grape juice on the car & let it dry--has a Purple look to it.. A simple repainting of that area & you will be Perfect. The Interior is Excellent.. I have replaced the rear Carpet & Had one hell of a Stereo installed by Best Buy-Top of the Line Kenwood/Excelsion CD Player with Ipod hook up cable in the Glove Box. Kenwood 10 Disc Changer & Kicker amp in the storage behind the seat( I still have the original Insert for that storage)..all so have Put in a Kenwood 10' sub with a Custom enclose--Looks Great--The Door & rear speakers are now Pioneer 6.5's..Sounds Absolutely Fantastic & it wasn't Cheap..I Had the windows done with Legal .32% Tint-Solar Artistic hear in Birmingham. Only Blemish inside the car is a slight separation on the Drivers arm rest--Other than that near perfect--Still has Perfect headliner & T_Top shades..This car will not leak even at a Car wash--No Leaks..The Glass is Perfect--Zero Pitting of anykind.. I also Had Brand new Tires from PEPBOY"s Just Put on....The Car Drives Like a New 300ZX..Ever single thing works on this Car even the Original Adjustable Suspension--Wow-- It was very nice to finally see what that was like..I've had two other Turbos's & both had the standard Suspension Conversion already done. The Car does have a Boost control just below the dash on the left knee panel--you can see it in the pictures--it's just a knob you pull out & rotate..It works..I have it set at factory 6-7 pounds but it can go up higher or even lower--The Turbo Spools up Perfect,,The original owner replaced some of the Tubing with Copper Pipes, he also added the aux fan to the Radiator..I do know he worked at the Huntsville Space Center--The Sticker for entry was still on the Front Windsheild-Perhaps an Areo Space engineer?..The Engine is so Quiet & strong --Very Tight steering & suspension depending upon the setting you choose--This car is going to be extremely hard to beat for overall quality.Great for a Collector or whomever..Show Piece.....Just a Great Z....If you email me & can respond back with my Cell Number for More Discussion.....Good Luck to all...

'Qashqai' so hard to pronounce even Nissan is poking fun at it
Mon, 14 Apr 2014In the US, there aren't a lot of vehicle names that are very difficult to pronounce. Maybe the Volkswagen Touareg might trip up a few people, but by and large, we've got it pretty easy. Our friends in Europe, though, have a bigger challenge, thanks to vehicles like the Nissan Qashqai. Yes, Qashqai.
Like the Touareg, the Qashqai draws its name from a nomadic people. While Nissan isn't making up words, then, it's still not an easy name to pronounce. Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson routinely calls it a kumquat, for example. According to Nissan, though, it's pronounced "Cash'kai".
To get its point across as the second-gen Qashqai, the close cousin of the US market Rogue, prepares to launch in Australia, Nissan set up a little event at a coffee shop. Customers would place their orders, only to have the spelling of their names butchered rather badly. On the other side of the cup, there's a message from Nissan and the Qashqai.
Nissan's Carlos Ghosn taps the brakes on autonomous car progress
Fri, 18 Jul 2014
"Self-driving cars remain a long way from commercial reality."
Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn shocked the automotive industry last year when he announced that his company plans to offer consumers an autonomous car by 2020. The automaker even showed off its self-driving Leaf prototype as proof. He was bolder recently with the pronouncement that select markets could have them in 2018, if laws allowed. The boss' optimism appears to be waning, though, and he's now sounding a lot more conservative about the future. While driverless vehicles are still on the way, Ghosn is hedging his bets with a more gradual implementation of several systems.
Nissan Recalls More Than One Million Vehicles For Air Bags
Wed, Mar 26 2014Nissan is recalling just over one million cars, SUVs and vans because the front passenger air bags may not inflate in a crash. It's the company's second recall to fix the same problem. The recall affects the Altima midsize car, Leaf electric car, Pathfinder SUV and Sentra compact models from the 2013 and 2014 model years, as well as the NV200 Taxi van and Infiniti JX35 SUV from 2013. Also covered are the Infiniti QX60 and Q50 SUVs from 2014. In documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Nissan says the vehicles' computer software may not detect an adult in the passenger seat. If that happens, the air bags won't inflate. Nissan will notify owners and dealers will update the software for free. The recall is expected to start in mid-April. Most of the vehicles were recalled in February of last year for a similar problem. Dealers replaced seat sensors, but Nissan said it continued to get consumer complaints and warranty claims in vehicles that had been repaired. Front passenger seats have sensors that determine the passenger's weight and turn off air bags off if a child is on board. The malfunctioning sensors can turn the air bags off even if an adult is in the seat. Nissan received three reports of air bags failing to inflate in a crash. Spokesman Steve Yeager said in an e-mail that he is not sure if anyone was hurt in those incidents. There have been no deaths due to the problem, he said. The recall affects almost 990,000 vehicles in the U.S., another 60,000 in Canada and small numbers in other countries, Yeager said. Related Gallery Nissan Searches For Identity In America
