I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime. This is a unique breed of the Z31 Turbo. The 86 Turbos and the 84 50th Anniversaries were the 2 Turbo cars from the 84-89 generation that had these wheels, flared fenders, and rocker moldings. The 50000 miles have been softly driven and always garage kept. It is a hit at Z events - always one of the nicest ones that has not been toyed with. Do not hesitate to reach me via phone - 305-302-4617. If the car does no see auction end that is because it has been sold locally, so putting it on a "watch" list will result in a lost purchase perhaps.
Pictures shown with varying degrees of light, but nothing is faded, worn, or discolored. Attempted to take pic of undercarriage and as seen there is not damage.
I have a family friend who only does door to door, insured shipping, and will do so at a very discounted rate. Let me know if you need a quote. It belongs on a car hauler.
1986 Nissan 300ZX TURBO - EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN THIS ORIGINAL / UNMOLESTED / RUST FREE CONDITION - NO ACCIDENTS / DAMAGE. This is awesome 1 OWNER 300 with the 5 speed / digital / leather / power seat w/ lumbar / electronic package w/ steering wheel controls, T-tops, that is 100% straight up. It has been meticulously cared for, never left outside in the rain, or driven in inclement weather. For a Nissan purist, it is definitely a great piece of history. Be the envy of other 300 owners when you pull up at Nissan shows. I HAVE THE ORIG. WINDOW STICKER, PURCHASE ORDER, TITLE OF ORIGIN FROM JAPAN, AND ALL SERVICE RECORDS - SEE PIC.
The Silver metallic paint shines like brand new. It was Ziebarted when new, so no corrosion on joints or fittings. All of the moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, roof panels, covers, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in super condition. The wheels have no abuse and the Michelin tires have excellent tread. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Never run through an automatic car wash and always hand washed / waxed are a great part as to why it still looks so fabulous. The exterior is a solid 9.75 / 10.
On the inside, the Charcoal / Black interior still looks, feels, and smells like new. As you can see in the pics, the leather seats have always been covered and the flooring is crisp / damage free. The door panels, t-top bags, sun shields, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are original and not marked. All of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch release, antenna, fuel door, and even the clock keeps perfect time. The spare tire compartment still has the orig. spare - never on the ground, inflator cannister, jack, bolts are still in place. The interior is a 9.8 / 10.
Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as you would expect a "well-oiled" machine would. The engine compartment has never even been cleaned, except for a wipe down. All of the servicing is up to date - fuel injector recall, a/c, belts, hoses, fluids all changed ( synthetic ) / maintained at the proper intervals, Timing belt and tune up were done. The Turbo engine spools out without issue, the 5 speed engages softly, and it performs on all levels. It has never been driven hard. Of course, The a/c is blistering cold and the brakes have plenty of pad left. All of the other mechanical functions are point on. * See pic of the service records.
If you have been searching, most of these cars are beat up, modded, or have a ton of miles. What you pay for is what you get. One would spend twice as much restoring one, and it would not be original. A car can only be that one time. :)

Automakers can, and do, use your private information however they want
Wed, Sep 6 2023The first paragraph of Mozilla’s *Privacy Not Included" buyerÂ’s guide about car privacy issues is worth repeating here: “Ah, the wind in your hair, the open road ahead, and not a care in the world Â… except all the trackers, cameras, microphones, and sensors capturing your every move. Ugh. Modern cars are a privacy nightmare.” “Ugh” may be an understatement. The crux of the matter is control: The nonprofit Mozilla Foundation has found that vehicle manufacturers have collected tons of “private” data from vehicle operators, thanks to the proliferation of sensors and cameras and smartphones connected in and to cars. In its report, Mozilla found that 25 car brands all failed the consumer privacy tests it carried out. Its research found that 84 percent of car companies review, share or sell data collected from car owners, and that the information was used for reasons unrelated to the operation of a vehicle or to a car brandÂ’s relationship with its owners. And beyond that, the report says that many companies — more than half — “say they can share your information with the government or law enforcement in response to a 'request.' Not a high bar court order, but something as easy as an 'informal request.'” Some other points made by the foundation: — Six car companies can collect intimate information, including a driverÂ’s medical information and genetic information. Plus info about how fast a person drives and the songs he listens to in the car. — Nissan earned its second-to-last spot (Tesla, not surprisingly, was worst) “for collecting some of the creepiest categories of data we have ever seen": In an apparent attack of full disclosure, Nissan said that it can share “inferences” drawn from the data to create profiles “reflecting the consumerÂ’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.” It also collects information about “sexual activity.” It's not clear how they can do that, but in their privacy notice they say they could. Not to be outdone, the report says, “Kia also mentions they can collect information about your 'sex life' in their privacy policy.” — Only two of the 25 brands reviewed, Renault and Dacia, stated that drivers had the right to delete their personal data. The brands are headquartered in Europe, where consumers are protected by General Data Protection Regulation privacy laws.
Trucks, SUVs — and Camry — shine in mixed U.S. January vehicle sales
Thu, Feb 1 2018DETROIT — Automakers posted mixed U.S. new vehicle sales data for January, with American consumers continuing to abandon passenger cars for the larger pickup trucks, SUVs and crossover models that manufacturers also love because they are far more profitable. Total industry auto sales for the month rose 1 percent versus January 2016. According to Autodata Corp, which tracks industry sales, the seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR) of U.S. car and light truck sales in January fell to 17.12 million units from 17.44 million a year earlier. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a January SAAR of 17.2 million units. U.S. auto industry sales fell 2 percent in 2017 to 17.23 million vehicles after hitting a record high in 2016 and are expected to drop further in 2018 despite a solid economy. Interest rates are rising and around 4 million late-model used cars will return to dealer lots this year to compete with more expensive new ones. Automakers have used consumer discounts to boost sales, a growing concern for observers who say this undermines resale values and profits. Discounts declined in January, but remained above 10 percent of manufacturers' recommended prices. ""I think the industry has accepted that (sales) volumes will fall somewhat in 2018 ... and I don't think the industry is going to go over the cliff with insane incentives," Mike Jackson, chief executive officer of AutoNation Inc, told Reuters after his company, the largest U.S. auto retail chain, posted a higher quarterly net profit. Mark Wakefield, head of the North American automotive practice for consultancy AlixPartners, had a gloomier perspective. The industry's less-than-stellar sales performance for January showed "we are now past the peak," he said. "Automakers are now selling the deal instead of the vehicle," he said. "That's a tough spot to be in because that treadmill is hard to get off once you're on it." General Motors January sales rose 1.3 percent, driven by a 16 percent rise in fleet sales. Sales to consumers fell 2.4 percent. GM posted strong gains for models such as the Silverado pickup truck and Equinox crossover model, while its passenger cars continued to struggle. Ford The Blue Oval posted a 6.6 percent sales decline for January, with retail sales down 4.3 percent. Sales of Ford's F-Series pickup trucks - America's best-selling vehicle brand for decades — rose 1.6 percent. Passenger cars were down more than 23 percent.
Ghosn says French ambassador told him: 'Nissan is turning against you'
Wed, Jan 15 2020BEIRUT — Former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn said on Tuesday that the French ambassador had warned him shortly after his arrest that his own company was plotting against him. "Frankly, I was shocked by the arrest, and the first thing I asked is make sure Nissan knows so they can send me a lawyer," Ghosn told Reuters in an interview in Beirut. "And the second day, 24 hours from this, I received a visit from the French ambassador who told me: 'Nissan is turning against you'. And this is where I realized that the whole thing was a plot." Former Nissan CEO Hiroto Saikawa, who was forced to resign last year after admitting that he had received improper compensation, told a news conference shortly after Ghosn's arrest that Ghosn had been using corporate money for personal purposes and under-reporting his income for years. The arrest of Ghosn, widely respected for rescuing the carmaker from near-bankruptcy, has put Japan's criminal justice system under international scrutiny. Among the practices now under the spotlight are keeping suspects in detention for long periods and excluding defense lawyers from interrogations, which can last eight hours a day. "When he told me that 'two hours or three hours later, after your arrest, Saikawa went in a press conference and made his infamous statement where he said, you know, 'I am horrified, but what I'm learning...'' — so when he told me he made these statements, I said 'Oh my God this is a plot'."  Related: Yamaha warns not to climb into instrument cases after Ghosn arrest  Ghosn, 65, fled Japan last month while awaiting trial on charges of under-reporting earnings, breach of trust and misappropriation of company funds, all of which he denies. The one-time titan of the car industry said the alternative to fleeing would have been to spend the rest of his life languishing in Japan without a fair trial. Ghosn said he had escaped to his childhood home of Lebanon in order to clear his name. He noted that there were conflicting stories about his astonishing escape, but declined to say how he had managed to flee. Tokyo prosecutors said his allegations of a conspiracy were false and that he had failed to justify his acts. The 14-month saga has shaken the global auto industry and jeopardized the Renault-Nissan alliance, of which Ghosn was the mastermind. Japan's Ministry of Justice has said it will try to find a way to bring Ghosn back from Lebanon, even the countries have no extradition treaty.
