Datsun/nissan 280zx, 1983, Low Milage, 5-speed, 2-seater on 2040-cars
Valrico, Florida, United States
The vehicle is in great condition. It was repainted about 12 years ago. As stated above the car has a couple of small dents on the hood and the trunk lid. It also has a couple of very small door dings. There are two areas on the front valance under the bumper that the paint is flaking. If you know anything about 280zs, you know they have many rust areas. Some of these areas are the bottom of the rear deck lid, around the tail light lens (bad), inside the spare tire valley, around the fuel filler, roof area above the windshield, the front section of the hood (very bad) and these are just the areas that are easy to notice. This vehicle is rust free in all those areas. The original owner had the car rust proofed and I guess it worked. The car also has never been smoked in. The interior of the car is original except for the back panel that covers the tail lights and the panel opposite the spare tire. I had them replaced with new vinyl. These are areas on ever 280ZX that shrink, ripple and just look bad. It is very difficult to cover the condition of every area of any vehicle. The car looks great but there are always areas that are not perfect. I always suggest that the buyer inspect the vehicle before purchasing. Everything on the vehicle is in working order, except possibly the cassette player (never tried it). Please if you have any questions about this vehicle, please ask. I cannot think of everything. I have done the best I can to describe this vehicles condition.
This vehicle is all original (nissan supplied) except for a few parts. These are suspension (springs and struts), brake rotors (frozen brand), stainless brake lines(6 flex), speakers. Also comes with a car cover, original window stickers, owner and repair manuals. This vehicle has been a Georgia/Florida car just about its whole life. I purchased it from the original owner in Atlanta Georgia about 9 years ago. She took very good care of the car even winning a couple of trophies from the Georgia Z car club. I do not have any experience shipping a vehicle. If you need this vehicle shipped please contact a shipper for the information. The winning bidder needs to pay a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 to me through PayPal within 24 hours at the close of the Auction. The remainder or balance needs to be paid within 7 days of the close of the auction. I do no take PAYPAL for final payment or balance. This balance must be paid by bank check or cash only in person for final payment. If paid by bank check the vehicle will not be released till the check is cleared by my bank. This can take up to a week sometimes. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. Please, if you do not intend to pay, please do not bid. Note this vehicle is sold AS-IS with no warranty of any kind. Please, Please call with any questions. I will be glad to answer any questions you have. |

The UK votes for Brexit and it will impact automakers
Fri, Jun 24 2016It's the first morning after the United Kingdom voted for what's become known as Brexit – that is, to leave the European Union and its tariff-free internal market. Now begins a two-year process in which the UK will have to negotiate with the rest of the EU trading bloc, which is its largest export market, about many things. One of them may be tariffs, and that could severely impact any automaker that builds cars in the UK. This doesn't just mean companies that you think of as British, like Mini and Jaguar. Both of those automakers are owned by foreign companies, incidentally. Mini and Rolls-Royce are owned by BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover by Tata Motors of India, and Bentley by the VW Group. Many other automakers produce cars in the UK for sale within that country and also export to the EU. Tariffs could damage the profits of each of these companies, and perhaps cause them to shift manufacturing out of the UK, significantly damaging the country's resurgent manufacturing industry. Autonews Europe dug up some interesting numbers on that last point. Nissan, the country's second-largest auto producer, builds 475k or so cars in the UK but the vast majority are sent abroad. Toyota built 190k cars last year in Britain, of which 75 percent went to the EU and just 10 percent were sold in the country. Investors are skittish at the news. The value of the pound sterling has plummeted by 8 percent as of this writing, at one point yesterday reaching levels not seen since 1985. Shares at Tata Motors, which counts Jaguar and Land Rover as bright jewels in its portfolio, were off by nearly 12 percent according to Autonews Europe. So what happens next? No one's terribly sure, although the feeling seems to be that the jilted EU will impost tariffs of up to 10 percent on UK exports. It's likely that the UK will reciprocate, and thus it'll be more expensive to buy a European-made car in the UK. Both situations will likely negatively affect the country, as both production of new cars and sales to UK consumers will both fall. Evercore Automotive Research figures the combined damage will be roughly $9b in lost profits to automakers, and an as-of-yet unquantified impact on auto production jobs. Perhaps the EU's leaders in Brussels will be in a better mood in two years, and the process won't devolve into a trade war. In the immediate wake of the Brexit vote, though, the mood is grim, the EU leadership is angry, and investors are spooked.
2015 Nissan Murano and Juke priced, Color Studio to breed bad ideas
Thu, Nov 20 2014Nissan has released basic pricing information on its upcoming Murano, as well as detailed pricing on the refreshed Juke crossover at the 2014 LA Auto Show. The Japanese company also announced a new "color studio" for the Juke, which just reeks of bad ideas. First, let's talk money. The flashy, redesigned Murano crossover will kick off at $29,650, not including an $885 destination charge. While the new CUV will begin arriving in dealers on December 5, Nissan opted out of providing more detailed pricing data, including information about trim levels and other optional extras. It did no such thing with the Juke, though. The freshened 2015 model starts at $20,250 for a base Juke S, and climbs from there. The SV trim adds $1,050 to the price while the SL starts at $25,240. All-wheel drive adds $1,850 to the S and SV models and $1,700 to SL. If you're the sporting sort, the Juke Nismo starts at $24,830 while the Nismo RS rings up at $28,020. Adding an Xtronic continuously variable transmission and all-wheel-drive to the Nismo models increases the price by $2,400 and $2,000, respectively. And now, the Nissan Color Studio. We'll admit, there are some among the Autoblog staff that question this new feature, which gives customers an extreme degree of control when it comes to the styling of their Juke. For a price, Nissan will allow customers to choose individual colors for ten different parts of the Juke, including the rear spoiler, mirror caps, headlight surrounds, door sills and the wheels. While a fashionable mind might be able to create something rather cool, the potential for abuse here is extremely high. Check out the inset image to see what we mean. Scroll down for Nissan's announcement on Juke and Murano pricing, as well as details on the color studio.
Why China will soon lead the electric vehicle market
Sat, Jan 16 2016China could be the world's largest electric vehicle market by 2020, thanks to significant government subsidies and the major drawbacks of owning an internal combustion model there. The country's populace registered 75,000 EVs in 2014, and sales figures in 2015 looked even better. In a new video, Renault-Nissan examines the trend and why it happened. Chinese cities heavily encourage buyers to go green through vehicle incentives, but they also make it a hassle to be a polluter. In some places, there's a lottery to limit vehicle registrations and alternating driving bans for even or odd license plate numbers. However, these limits don't apply to EVs, and the country's automakers have benefited from the regulations by introducing small, inexpensive electric models, albeit with sometimes hilarious styling. China's emissions regulations will get even tighter in the coming years. In fact, a Honda exec recently predicted the company wouldn't be able to sell any models there without some form of electric assistance by 2025. Get a better look at the country's electric push to clean up vehicle pollution in Renault-Nissan's video. Related Video:
