So here's the story about this 240...
First let me say that we are very sad to let this go as it has been in our family for a few years, but before that a family that was very important to my wife and I owned this car. My sister in law borrowed the car last year when her car broke down, and low and behold this car broke as well! Yep, you guessed it, the automatic transmission went out! But, being the kind-hearted brother-in-law that I am, I opted to help my sister-in-law fix her car first.
The Nissan 240SX was my wifes dream car. We were going to fix it up and make it a weekender car for us and our daughter. You know, the married couple with kids sort of thing...take it to car shows, and go crusing, etc.etc. I always wanted to convert it to a manual transmission though and this was my chance! I bought a manual transmission for it and I also got a Nissan 2.2 litre cam, 16-valve Engine that came with the transmission attached for one price. Both in excellent working condition--they just need to be installed, by someone who has the time and the passion for that matter. I guess I have the passion, but I definitely don't have the time anymore. With two children and a wife and a 60+ hour a week job, its very difficult to have either.
In addition to the above the 240 also has:
New Tires, New Brakes, New fuel pump, the interior is in excellent condition, and the exterior is in pretty good condition. The hood and the roof just need some painting from sun fade and there is also a small dent in the front passenger side quarter panel from when my son accidentally backed into it. (It can be easily popped out)
All and all this is an excellent deal...You not only get an awesome 1990 Nissan 240SX, you get an additional motor, PLUS a manual transmission ready for install as soon as you pick up the car!
Everyone knows that 240s are highly desired vehicles for racing, drifting, showing, etc. Dont let this Nissan 240SX speed away from you!!:)

Nissan recalls over 120,000 Altimas due to... spare tire inflation?!
Mon, 29 Apr 2013A pressure regulator that over- or underinflated spare tires for five days earlier this year has led to a recall of 123,308 units of the 2013 Nissan Altima. Sedans that were manufactured from March 21-26 are those possibly affected by the temporary tire snafu, the recall for which will begin on May 3.
Those notified of the issue can take their sedans to their local Nissan dealer, who will check the tire pressure and correct it if necessary, but we imagine owners can probably just whip out a tire gauge to check and adjust the inflation for themselves. Should you need it, there's an official notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with a few more details.
Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015
Tue, Feb 11 2014Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper. For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011. The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors. While the adoption of SAE J2807 will be helpful for light-duty customers, those interested in bigger trucks will still be left with differing standards. There is no sign of the new tow standards being adopted for the heavy-duty market.
Nissan giving away Leaf-shaped air fresheners that smell like the future
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We had to check our calendar to make sure it didn't read April 1, but since it's not April Fool's Day, we have to assume that Nissan of Europe really has created a special air freshener scent to give away this Christmas. To create this original fragrance, Nissan looked to Dr. George Dodd, a master perfumer and aroma academy scientist who looks a tiny bit like Santa Claus (we seriously aren't making this stuff up).
Like a mad scientist, Dr. Dodd went to work blending chemicals and fragrances to design a smell that matches the Leaf's Earth-friendly, zero-emission attitude. Once the "scent of the future" is transformed into the lovely Santa-driving, Leaf-shaped air freshener you see above, Nissan of Europe will be giving one to its employees, Leaf customers and "select electric car fans." Sadly, EV - and scent - enthusiasts here in the US will be stuck with the tried-and-true pine tree air freshener.
We don't want to ruin exactly what Dodd finally came up with for the "scent of the future," but you can find out for yourselves in the video and press release posted below.
