Late 1988 (S13) Nissan Silvia K's, Fully Restored + Performance Upgrades + SR20DET.  "26 yrs old"

Selling because I have purchased an exotic car.

Up for sale is my Silvia K's. Introduced in 1988, the Silvia was an instant hit in Japan, thus sparking the sale of the 240SX for example in north america.
This vehicle is can be eligible for US importation, being produced in 1988.
Located Near Buffalo NY/ Detroit MI in Hamilton, Ontario CANADA.
Nationwide shipping etc can be arranged.

This car, as you can see from the recent photos has been fully restored. Previous owner was a master tradesperson, so if you are one yourself, you know good work when you see it.
Starting as a straight, clean, rust free chassis, the body was stripped, subframes removed and SR20DET sent for rebuilding. All parts you can see are either new, restored or polished to complete a very very clean, and LEGAL S13 for US or Canadian buyers. If it can be removed, it was replaced, refurbished, polished or made new in some way. Looks better than showroom! This car has been indoors for almost 6 years until earlier this week.

All bodywork was completed by a competent bodyshop, including the seamless installation of the rear widebody. No rivets, screws, or excessive fillers. OEM Type panel bonding glue was used to affix the panels, and finished by the bodyshop. Looks like factory. Inside, the rear wells were properly removed, and radiused. All sealed off, no leaks or rust waiting to happen.
All the aerobody was also fully fitted, and prepared to give a "factory" fitment and appearance. No shoddy, ill fitting panels here! Please note, I have to correct some panels up front, just waiting on Nissan to get all the new rubber stoppers for the panels.(ordered them ages ago!)

The bottom end is low mileage JDM engine, however the top end of the SR20DET 2.0L DOHC Turbo engine has been fully sorted/rebuilt with some of the best parts on the market. The entire drivetrain as pictured shows as new, and is as close as they come! This car was originally equipped with the unpopular (at least in north america) CA18DET engine, which had been since removed by the prev owner.

Common emails/questions/answers

Is this converted?

-THIS IS AN ORIGINAL RHD SILVIA!  THIS IS NOT A 240SX.  IT IS A 1988 NISSAN SILVIA K's FROM JAPAN.  CAR HOLDS JDM VIN AND IS NOT REVINNED.

Whats your reserve?

-AS PER MOST AUCTIONS, MY RESERVE IS PRIVATE!

I didnt read your ad whatsoever, but where are you located?

-PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE VEHICLE IS IN HAMILTON ONTARIO...CANADA AND BUYER ASSUMES ALL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TRANSPORT.

Is it registered in the USA?

-No, currently titled and registered in Ontario Canada, HOWEVER the VEHICLE IS 26Y/O to Production year, thus giving it the go ahead for registering in the USA without issue, with a HS7 form (I will include this document, and current valid registration and history check) No loopholes or fraud required!

I have no feedback, but I wish to bid, what can I do?

-Please forward me your contact details, and we can discuss further.

How much power does it make?

-I decided to leave the power adders up to the future buyer.  I built the car as a cruiser, so I didnt have a need for large HP output.  With a simple tune, turbo upgrade and fuel injectors, 400hp isnt very far away.

Issues with car:
-LH seat has some bolster wear
-Cefiro style turn signals for front bumper are required (missing)  (easily found here on ebay, 1988 Cefiro bumper lights)
-Couldnt find new RezaxII wheels, wheels are nice used set, some rash and minor pitting from age.  Look great as you can see!
-It may be "too low" for some people, or transport companies.  I would be willing to raise the car up for transport purposes, and you can adjust it to your preference.
-Turns many heads, and gets lots of looks.  Just in the short trip to get an alignment, I noticed the attention this car grabs, along with feedback on social media, this one is a show stopper!  If you dont want to get noticed, this is not the car for you!

Mercedes to build CLA at Nissan plant in Mexico [w/poll]

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Volkswagen may have paved the way for American customers to get used to the idea of German cars produced in Mexico, but it won't be the only one for long. BMW is said to be considering production of the 1 Series, 3 Series and Mini south of the border, Audi is working on its own factory in San Jose Chiapa, and now Mercedes-Benz is reported to be following suit as well. Only instead of building its own plant, Daimler is tipped to use a Nissan factory in Aguascalientes.
According to a report in Manager Magazin recently cited by Automotive News Europe, that's where Mercedes is considering building the GLA, CLA and another A-Class sedan. Just what the point would be of another sedan based on the A-Class in addition to the CLA, we're not sure, but if Benz can produce the larger CLS in addition to the E-Class and S-Class sedans, we suppose there'd be room for an A-Class sedan alongside the CLA as well.
We're still waiting on confirmation and comment from Mercedes on the prospect, but one way or another, the increase in Mexican production of German automobiles seems to be a foregone conclusion.

Mercedes was set to sell version of Nissan Titan, now Infiniti might instead

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Mercedes-Benz Titan. Mercedes-Benz Frontier. Mercedes-Benz pickup truck. None of these things roll off the tongue particularly well. We'd like to think that's the reason Daimler opted to kill the idea of rebadged Titan and Frontier pickups from corporate ally Nissan. In reality, the execution before the Frankfurt Motor Show was due to more complicated issues.
Yes, Mercedes, byword for German luxury, style and quality, would have slapped a three-pointed star on a pair of Japanese pickup trucks that have failed to resonate with consumers in the world's largest truck market. That slapping of badges isn't much of an exaggeration, at least on the outside. According to the report from Road & Track, the truck's front clip would have been tweaked, but beyond that, the sheetmetal would have been unchanged. The interior would have received a more thorough going-over by the team at Mercedes, while the suspension and noise, vibration and harshness tuning would have also received significant attention.
The trucks would have ended up being sold through the light-commercial branch of Mercedes-Benz - the same folks that will happily sell you a Sprinter van - had the deal gone through. Issues arose, though, first with the engines. Mercedes wanted a wider range of powertrains to allow it to tune models for specific markets, while Nissan said it couldn't engineer the wide variety of engines that MB wanted to drop under the hood. For the smaller truck, meanwhile, MB was interested in a hybrid or plug-in variant, according to R&T, although this was also shot down by Nissan.

These are your top 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2012

Mon, Jan 7 2013

Despite 2012 being the best year of auto sales this country has seen since 2007, not every vehicle got an equally large share of the sales pie. Some barely got a sliver, as evidenced by this year's list of the top 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2012. We've dug through sales data from every automaker to come up with this year's list and, like last year, we've set some parameters to ensure it includes legitimately bad-selling vehicles. The first parameter is a starting MSRP under $100,000, which automatically excludes what's parked in most one-percenters' garages. We're also excluding vehicles cancelled in 2012, even if they garnered sales through the end of the year while dealerships sold off remaining inventory. This includes models like the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and last year's worst-seller, the Acura RL. Next, vehicles are considered as they are reported by the automaker, which means that, while sales of the Murano CrossCabriolet were probably low enough to make the list, because Nissan reports only one number for all Murano sales, it was excluded. Cadillac, however, reports sales of the Escalade EXT separately from the Escalade, hence its repeat appearance. Finally, there was the question of whether or not eligibility should be given to Suzuki vehicles, as the brand announced in November that it would end sales in the US as soon as its current inventory ran out. We decided Suzuki vehicles should be included as the brand was offering 2013 models at the time of the announcement, and as far as we can tell, inventory levels remained high enough to satisfy demand through the end of the year. Without further ado, below are the top 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2012. Top 10 Worst-Selling Vehicles of 2012 10. Volvo C30 MSRP: $25,500 Units Sold: 2,827 Last Year: – 9.
