1995 Nissan 240sx Se Sr20det Jdm S14 on 2040-cars
Tallahassee, Florida, United States
My dream, as a petrol head and a JDM faithful, was to one
day build a proper, rear wheel drive, JDM street machine. I almost did; I am a
few fingers short of finishing my dream. It is very sad I have to realize my
current priorities in hand and utterly unfortunate to announce, she has to go. When I purchased the shell she was wrecked and even dough
the radiator support, tie rods, fenders and the hood were damaged, it had an
arrow straight chassis. So of course I adopted her as my project even dough she
did not have a front end, carpet, door and interior panels, wheels, brakes, nor
an engine or drive train. Today, not only the wrecked parts have been “replaced”
(not bent back), it has been replaced professionally and with proper OEM and
performance parts. She has a full JDM Zenki front end with JDM radiator support
and JDM radiator, its fan, and even JDM A/C parts, lush carpet, clean and next
to new interior, staggered Varrstoen wheels wrapped in almost new Nexen tires,
a complete 300ZX TT brake conversion with the proper R33 skyline e-brake cable
and stainless steel lines, and of course a SR20DET with stock matching
transmission and other stock parts like all the A/C parts. But I wouldn’t even
pick any of those plus points to really tell you how I feel and know what this
S14 Silvia is now.. Only 2 words will do; “REALIABLE THRILLER!” This 1995 Nissan S14 SE has taken months of my undivided
attention and over $16k has been spent to get it to where it stands today.
Everything, except for the sunroof, has been done properly, professionally, and
with my dream on my mind at all times. By the time I got to the sunroof I was
broke. Also, I have not fiddled with a lot of its OEM integrity and
configuration resulting in a very reliable daily driver. To list what she has: ·

The interior is full (all the panels). ·
Xexon HID’s 6000k ·

Voltage stabilizer Also, she has undergone some weight reduction so you won’t
find any speakers, as it does not have a radio and I am too busy enjoying
myself in the bends. But it does have an electric antenna which you can have
and all the radio wires have been left intact. It also has had its 30 lbs.
sunroof mechanism removed and the sunroof glass has been mounted on removable
brackets and sealed. I also have the whole sunroof mechanism assembly intact,
which works, and which comes with the car. This is the only job I tried
to tackle by myself and honestly, It doesn't look professional but its easily
fixable especially if you find a new/used glass. Also, I have a big box of goodies that
comes with the car which has all the parts to get the A/C going and a spare
alternator, brackets, hoses, stereo antenna….etc. But do not think it’s a light weight rattle box in the
cockpit. I have also installed GT mat, at select locations to give the interior
a solid feel of a refined car. So, while paying attention to the minutest
details, I have come very close to finish building a reliable, daily driven,
JDM street machine. LSD and a paint job, a few minor things like turbo timer,
and racing seats would put this car aside from all, an occasional nut case and
a daily driven JDM S14 turning heads. Her tensioner pulley’s bearing have been jammed due to
non-usage and the belt is not present, which is common since we don’t use a/c,
but the bearings are cheap and replaced easily. It’s just sad I can’t finish
this time. I got a quote from a guy, to have the a/c running it will be 500 which
include custom lines and belt and all, provided all the JDM A/C parts that goes
in it. That comes with the car! I am asking 6500. Motivated seller and looking for serious
inquiries only. Thanks for looking. you wont find a better deal. take advantage of my misfortune. P.S. I have posted a couple of videos in a hurry on youtube.

2015 Nissan GT-R updated with new lights, more refined ride
Tue, 19 Nov 2013The Nismo version of Nissan's high-tech supercar may be getting most of the headlines today, but we shouldn't forget that the car on which it's based, the garden-variety GT-R, has been significantly updated for 2015, as well.
What Nissan engineers focused on for the new model year was making the GT-R a more well-rounded GT car. That means dialing some more compliance into the car's very firm suspension for a more comfortable ride, as well as lightening up the steering at low speeds to make urban maneuvering easier. The braking calibration has also been changed to be more linear and smooth when slowing from normal, everyday speeds. Does this mean the GT-R has gone soft? We'll reserve judgment until we drive it, but Nissan claims the new refinements giving the car "multi-dimensional performance."
The GT-R also gets new lighting technology for 2015, including multi-LED headlights that lend the car a new light signature at night, and the LED taillight rings are now complete circles instead of rings of dots. The headlights are also now controlled by an Adaptive Front Lighting System, which sounds similar to other systems that aim light where the car is being turned, but Nissan's system adjusts the angle of the lights depending on vehicle speed - at higher speeds the lights are angled to project their illumination further.
Tesla, BMW and Nissan meeting in secret to discuss charging tech
Tue, Jun 17 2014It's interesting what's happening in the electric vehicle field. It used to be that BMW and Tesla were competitors. Then – and of course they're still competing, especially in the public mind – they were working together on ... something. Maybe. And now, the Financial Times reports that the two luxury automakers are meeting with Nissan. Again, maybe. The scuttlebutt is that the three companies are interested in working together on something to do with charging electric vehicles, potentially a global recharging standard. Currently, when it comes to fast charging, BMW uses the SAE Combo standard, Nissan uses CHAdeMO and Tesla uses its own Superchargers. The meeting was prompted by Tesla opening of all of its patents the other day, FT says. Speaking during the recent annual shareholder meeting, Musk said he was "more than happy to have other manufacturers" use Tesla's Superchargers but that, "there is no other electric car that can accept anything close to 135 kilowatts." Let's assume the technical hurdle can be overcome. With any potential patent/licensing problems out of the way, these discussions with BMW and Nissan might be revolving around this other angle that Musk mentioned: "They (other automakers) just have to contribute to the capital cost, so figure out what percentage of the time are their cars using the Supercharger network and then they can make a contribution proportionate to their customer usage of the Supercharger network." That certainly sounds like something that could take some time to figure out. 2015 Nissan Murano is the Sport Sedan Concept of crossovers [w/video]
Wed, 16 Apr 2014The edgy new Nissan Murano has just been officially unveiled at today's New York Auto Show following its online debut earlier this week. Wearing sheetmetal clearly inspired by the Japanese brand's creatively named Sport Sedan Concept, the third-generation Murano continues the tradition of offering dramatic styling and surprisingly premium interiors.
With headlights and a grille that look lifted from the Detroit Auto Show concept, the Murano arguably has more design presence than it's ever had before, thanks to its sharply styled headlights and in-your-face grille. The profile is highlighted by an aggressive kink in the beltline behind the C-pillar, while the rear of the crossover sports a smallish rear window and strongly styled C-shaped taillights.
The redesigned interior isn't quite as dramatic a departure as the exterior, with a layout reminiscent of the larger Pathfinder. The material quality, though, looks to be significantly improved for 2015. There are also no shortage of optional, upmarket interior items, like heated and cooled front seats, a heated rear bench and an upsized panoramic sunroof.
