1993 Nissan 240 SX Hatchback SE. 1 owner (my father in law, who passed away before completing the restoration). Repainted in 2010 along with new spoiler. Body is in excellent condition. Slight leak at driver's rear tail-light (seal needs replacing) but no major rust. Does need new spare tire (dry rotten after 20 years...). Other tires in good shape. Garage kept since 2010 (after it was repainted). Drives well. Synthetic Mobil One used for the life of the car. Car is all stock except the Pioneer Premier CD/MP3 head unit, amplifier and Sony sub-woofer. No mechanical modifications have ever been done. Stock 2.4L/4 cylinder engine with 5 speed manual shift. Small oil leak at crank front seal and timing cover, but not enough oil loss to need additional oil in between changes. Timing chain rattles and will eventually need new roller, guides and sprockets at some point in the future per my mechanic. Slightly rough idle but doesn't stall, smoke or sputter. Air conditioner blows cold air. All maintenance records available. Cigarette smoke occasionally permeated interior up until 2010, interior will likely need to be replaced to complete the restoration as the driver's seat has a tear and the carpets do have a few stains. Overall a good daily driver, but certainly with a little work could be a spectacular car club eligible ride. Clear title. Serious buyers only. Nissan 'Ride of Your Life' campaign turns an Altima into a race car [w/video]

Nissan definitely makes some exciting vehicles. The GT-R has received continuous improvements to keep it at the head of the pack in the performance car world. And the Leaf might not bring driving intensity, but its technology is quite impressive. However, there is nothing especially thrilling about the Altima. Granted, it races in the Australian V8 Supercars series, but that car really only shares its basic shape with the production version. So it may see surprising that the Japanese automaker is hoping to inject some drama into its midsize sedan with its new Ride of Your Life ad campaign.
The project is pretty clever. Nissan invited several people to the Horse Thief Mile circuit at Willow Springs Raceway for a ride in an Altima racecar. After a few laps with a professional driver around the course, they pulled into the pits, and the passengers got a big surprise. We won't spoil what happens for you. The concept is somewhat similar to Toyota's thrill ride ads for the Camry last year. Both promotions try to show that that these four-door, family sedans can be more than just boring transportation. Nissan's commercials will begin airing on TV soon. The automaker hopes to excite potential Altima buyers ahead of its upcoming national sales event. GT-R driver walks away from terrifying dragstrip accident

With all-wheel drive, launch control and a dual-clutch transmission, the Nissan GT-R may be easier to manage than most supercars. But that doesn't mean that dragging one on a wet strip is a good idea.
Filmed at the Unlimited 500+ drag race in Moscow, Russia, this video depicts a pair of GT-Rs going head to head. But things didn't go quite as planned when the driver of one lost control of her twin-turbo supercar. We'll let the video below speak for itself, but thankfully it appears no one was hurt - an outcome that seems particularly remarkable in light of the fact that it appears that the driver was not wearing a fire suit or helmet.

2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year finalists revealed

The finalists for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year were announced Tuesday at AutoMobility LA ahead of the 2016 LA Auto Show. Approximately 60 judges, including Autoblog's editor-in-chief Mike Austin, evaluated over 40 vehicles and named three models as the finalists in each category. The award for the Utility Vehicle of the Year is new for 2017 and separates SUVs, crossovers, and minivans from pickup trucks.
