1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport Xls Sport Utility 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Granger, Indiana, United States
Hi,
We bought this with 90k miles on it. Everything works as it should in the vehicle. The only issue(s) are that the "Brake" and "4wd" Light are on. The 4wd and abs work fine. I cannot figure out why the lights are on. The tires were new when we bought it. I bet that they will last through this winter. Because the tires have a little age, The front steering wheel shakes a little bit. Its not horrible. I was told its a band in the tire. I would drive it cross country at a moments notice and not blink twice. The truck does NOT leak or burn any fluids. VERY reliable. Being driven daily Roughly 15 miles round trip. Was My wife's truck. Please refer to the pictures and ask any and all questions prior to purchase. Car is sold as-is, as described to the best of my ability. No warranty or service plan. This is pickup only. I will NOT accept any personal checks. I will only accept a cashiers check after I verify funds with the issuing bank. And of course cash. This is a NO RESERVE auction! Please check out my other personal cars for sale on ebay! 97' Bonneville SSEI supercharged v6. And a 2001 Audi Allroad Twin Turbo V6 AWD. Thanks |

With just 75 i-MiEVs sold this year, Mitsubishi introduces 2014 model
Tue, Jun 10 2014Late last year, Mitsubishi said the Mitsubishi i-MiEV would get a solid price drop down to $22,995 (before destination and fees). Along with the lower digits, the car is getting a bit of a content bump to make the cheapest EV in the US an even better deal. After skipping the 2013 model year, new 2014 model year vehicles are now rolling out to Mitsubishi dealers in the US. We'll see if the new model helps increase sales. In 2013, Mitsubishi sold 1,029 copies of the i which was almost twice as much as it did in 2012 (588). So far in 2014, just 75 i-MiEVs have been sold, 35 of which were in May. So far in 2014, just 75 i-MiEVs have been sold, 35 in May. There is only one trim line for the new i-MiEV and it now comes with heaps more standard equipment than it used to. Things like a CHAdeMO DC quick charge port, heated front seats and a leather steering wheel came with the announcement of a $6,130 price drop last December. Read more about the new standard equipment here. New optional equipment includes a LED Illumination Package and a USB iPod adapter kit. Some things remain the same, like the 16-kWh lithium-ion battery that offers an official range of 62 miles. Mitsubishi takes pains to also include the EPA LA4 cycle range of 98 miles, just to show that 62 miles is not all you're going to get from the electric jellybean. Who wants one?
Employee warned Mitsubishi execs about mileage cheating in 2005
Fri, Aug 5 2016A damning report from the committee brought in to investigate Mitsubishi's alleged fuel economy fixing scandal has revealed a new employee stepped forward and implored the company to play it straight on its mileage data... Eleven years ago. The employee, identified in the report as F, pushed for honesty during a company workshop in February 2005, The Asahi Shimbun reports. The then-new worker told 20 company officials, including senior members of the performance testing department, that the way Mitsubishi measured fuel economy was different from the way government's method. Instead of acting on F's protests, officials said they had no memory of them, the report claims. The four-person committee, made up of lawyers and industry experts, isn't buying the excuse. "It is difficult to accept their explanations that they have no recollections because a new employee pointing out such a problem must have had a (strong) impact," the report read. But F's comments weren't the only internal sign that Mitsubishi allegedly ignored. In a 2011 questionnaire, multiple employees submitted responses claiming that the company had been falsifying data. But according to the committee's report, Mitsubishi's development department issued a report denying there was even a problem, which the company's execs accepted without question. According to The Asahi Shimbun, Mitsubishi CEO Osamu Masuko revealed that an internal investigation – which also denied F's remarks – acknowledged that the company hadn't followed government rules regarding fuel economy measurements since 1991. "We lacked unity needed to detect problems within the company and to solve them," Masuko-san said, backing up the committee report's claim that the company was divided. "From now on, we need to decide how to change our way of thinking." Mitsubishi Evo tagged with graffiti faster than you can say 'stop!'
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Ladies and gentlemen, meet Maggie Stiefvater, professional artist and musician, New York Times best-selling author and Mitsubishi Evo owner. Because, as she writes, "In my latest novel, The Dream Thieves, a character drives a car that looks just like mine. Only there's a knife painted on the side of his," she decided to graffiti a knife on the side of hers.
And that's how you get the time-lapse video below of Stiefvater, a few aerosol cans and a lot of stencils enjoying a sunny day in the park.
