One is on the right front fender, just behind the wheel. The vehicle was scraped by another vehicle and left a roughly 6.5 inch by 6.5 inch scrap with a minor dent. Repair estimate was under two hundred dollars. The other exterior defect is on the right rear fender right by the wheel as well. Roughly 2 inch by 4 inch scrape with veeeery minimal denting. Please see pictures (which to be honest I believe make the marks looks worse than they are but I want the buyer to know exactly what they are getting). The rims, mainly on the passenger side, do have some scuffs. There is one scratch noted to an interior trim piece in front of the passenger seat. Paint and exterior trip show wear appropriate to their four year age."

First off let me say I am the sole owner of this vehicle which is still driven on a weekly basis in order to keep it in good order, and I am responsible for all 58.5K of those miles. I am not a dealership trying to sell you a car that I know nothing about. This car has been my baby, and I have cherished it. I am selling it in order to get into an SUV with towing capabilities. I have been so impressed by this vehicle, and have driven it literally everywhere, to include the Autobahn in Europe, as well as all across the USA. I have customs documents to verify proper transport / clearance in and out of the USA and back again which will all be supplied to the buyer along with all maintenance records. This vehicle never missed a service, and was never given anything that was not good for it. It has been kept clean, I am a non smoker, and do not carry pets in the vehicle without a blanket down to protect the seats. There was no aftermarket parts installed on this vehicle other than the silver shift knob you see in the pictures, and has been adult driven and maintained from day one. Its has always had Pirelli tires after the initial Dunlaps, and has never had any mechanical issue other than a tire pressure monitoring sensor in the tire going out while in some snow. I have used this car, and because of that there are signs of use, as previously mentioned in the section above regarding condition. There is normal wear and tear on the vehicle as far as paint and trip etc, but this car was never abused. I encourage you to look at the images and ask any questions you might have. I am a completely open book regarding this car - because I know whoever wins this auction will not be disappointed. MPG is excellent at between 29-32 on road trips, and great in strictly city driving as well. This car has been driven in rain/snow/HWY/city/Autobahn and has never performed anything less than stellar. The vehicle has the three major packages which were offered at the time, Touring (excellent HID lights, etc.), the Rockford Fosgate Sound Package (one subtle sub mounted discretely in the trunk, 40 GB in dash MP3 hardrive, and ability to play DVD in dash), and the touch screen Navigation package (huge screen). There is steering wheel mounted voice and audio controls for blue tooth phone calls etc. Current tires have roughly 8K miles on them. There nice tent on the rear windows but front is kept clear. Manual transmission which helps with MPG as well as reliability. I could go on forever about this car but I will leave it at that. Ex-Nissan exec Greg Kelly's suspended sentence lets him go home

TOKYO — A Tokyo court gave Greg Kelly, a former American executive at Nissan Motor charged with underreporting his boss Carlos GhosnÂ’s pay, a suspended sentence, but cleared him of most of the charges. The verdict announced Thursday of a 6-month sentence suspended for three years will allow Kelly to return to the U.S. during an appeal. Kelly's defense lawyers said they will appeal. It was unclear if prosecutors would also do so. Kelly, who appeared calm during the court session, said afterward that he was stunned by the verdict. “I have always acted in the best interests of Nissan, and I have never been involved in an unlawful act,” said Kelly, who is planning to head back to Tennessee. The court acquitted Kelly on some counts but found him guilty of charges for just one of the eight years for which the compensation allegedly was under-reported. The defense team said that was unacceptable. “Kelly is completely innocent. We cannot accept the erroneous ruling that found him guilty for that final year,” the defense, headed by Yoichi Kitamura, said in a statement. Kelly was arrested in November 2018 at the same time as Ghosn, a former Nissan chairman and head of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. Both insist they are innocent and that the money in question was never paid or decided on. The trial at Tokyo District Court began in September 2020, with Ghosn absent after he jumped bail in late 2019, hiding in a box for music instruments on a private jet. He fled to Lebanon, which has no extradition treaty with Japan, and has been writing books and making movies about his experiences. During ThursdayÂ’s session, Chief judge Kenji Shimotsu repeatedly slammed Ghosn, telling the court Ghosn showed greed and malice in a “dictatorial rule” at Nissan. Nissan's faulty governance misled investors and had a damaging impact, he said. Shimotsu said Ghosn made an arrangement for his compensation that was “conducted solely out of his personal greed.” “There is absolutely no room for extenuating circumstances in his motive,” he said. Ghosn called the judgement a “save-face verdict” for the prosecutors and other Nissan executives that he accuses of colluding against him, Kelly, Renault and all shareholders. “I am relieved for Greg and his family,” Ghosn said in a Zoom call with a small group of reporters.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV van variant coming to Europe

Mitsubishi's Outlander Plug-in Hybrid SUV will be hitting our shores this fall. Across the Pond, however, it's heading into more no-nonsense territory. That's because the Japanese automaker is making a commercial van variant of the plug-in hybrid for the UK. Mitsubishi will start selling a model called the Outlander PHEV GX3h 4Work in the UK, Motoring Research says. Like the SUV, the model will pair a 2.0-liter gas engine with an electric motor and will have an all-electric range of 32 miles. The difference is that the back seats will be taken out and the glass will be blacked out. Hardcore, we say. The model will be priced at 36,905 British pounds (about $61,000), though buyers are eligible for a government grant worth 7,381 pounds ($12,200). Mitsubishi plans to start selling the Outlander PHEV stateside in Fall 2015. The company said earlier this summer that the US version will be substantially different from the current version, with updates for everything from exterior and interior styling to powertrain efficiency improvements. The model had some battery-melting issues last year in Japan, though Mitsubishi ramped up its production once those problems were solved. Mitsubishi representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment about the commercial-van variant from AutoblogGreen, but we expect to be hearing more about it soon.

Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida rules out closer capital ties with Renault

YOKOHAMA — Nissan is committed to its automaking alliance with Renault but will not look to deepen its capital ties with the French automaker any time soon, its new CEO said on Monday. On his first day in the new position, chief executive Makoto Uchida also pledged to repair profitability at Japan's No. 2 automaker and said setting realistic targets would be key toward that goal, as it tries to make a clean break from the leadership of former chairman Carlos Ghosn. "Closer capital ties with Renault are not a focus in the short term," he told reporters. Uchida became CEO of Nissan on Dec. 1, as the car maker tries to recover from a profit slump and draw a line under a year of turmoil after the Ghosn scandal. The ousted chairman is fighting financial misconduct charges in Japan. One of the new CEO's big tasks is to salvage ties with Renault, which have deteriorated since Ghosn's ouster as chairman of both companies. Renault holds a 43.4% stake in Nissan after it saved the Japanese automaker from financial ruin two decades ago, and has pushed for the two companies to merge. In rejecting a notion of a merger with Renault, Uchida, 53, echoes his predecessor Hiroto Saikawa, who stepped down in September. He added that the alliance must re-think how it can serve all of its three members, which also includes Mitsubishi Motors. "The alliance has to benefit each of its partners in terms of revenue and profit," he said. "We need to re-evaluate what has worked and what hasn't worked in the alliance in the past few years." The CEO called for Nissan to set "challenging but achievable" targets, adding that this and the launch of more new car models and vehicle technologies would be key to its financial recovery. Nissan is bracing for its lowest annual profit in 11 years and has slashed its dividend by 65%. Its struggles come at a time when car companies desperately need scale to keep up with sweeping technological changes like electric vehicles and ride-hailing. "Somewhere along the way we created a culture of setting targets which could not be achieved," Uchida said, adding that this had resulted in a focus on short-term results. "Years of this had led Nissan to its current "difficult situation," he said, using heavy vehicle discounting in the U.S. market as an example of how aggressive sales targets to grow market share had deteriorated the company's brand.
